@ Oh, I didn’t realize you were running a factory race car. I thought these were just built up street cars like in some of the other classes (eg, T1, T2, AS, etc). Thanks for the reply. 😊

​@@Wheelman81 Its not a factory racecar. Even cars that start life as a street car that are turned into racecars aren't street-able anymore. none of those classes have cars that can be run on the street anymore.

@@jackson5068 I think it was sport - because track mode was rather stiff, but can't remember.

About the only similar was that contact happened, other than that it was quite different.

A few places you couldn't go WOT due to puddles. Even a couple lanes off the outside wall on the front straight had too many puddles.

Don't know. Have to take it apart and see what happens, but given the inter-connectivity of everything, it will not be easy or cheap.

You can go to the Phoenix site and see the build specs, but pretty unlikely an SCCA racer is just going to leak all the numbers to you like that.

Shocks, springs, swaybars, or start turning it into a racecar.

I feel like the C7 GS is a step above the C8 for taking it to the track with only alignment changes and tires. I have to keep reminding myself that the C8 is the base car right now and not the 3rd or 4th version. I feel like I overwhelmed the stock bar/springs/shocks pretty easily.

We changed the setup slightly and applied some knowledge to the shocks. I will not share the alignment spec. Haven't messed with rear castor, we kept it at GM's recommended setting. Will look at that over the winter.

@@ajaquilante1 Ok, just trying to improve my C7Z handling. So by GM spec you mean rear caster set to 0*?

@@rleader1 On C8 rear castor, yes that is GM"s. For the C7Z we have our own spec we use.

Thank you. While not as "wild" as a C7 Z06 from the power aspect, it does require keeping the rear a bit more in check.

No, but I didn't follow GM's recommendations.

@@ajaquilante1 Hi Andrew, any update to your C8 experience since this was uploaded, and since you didn't follow GM alignment what did you use?

On a C7 Z06 the PSS vs A7 with same alignment was about 3 seconds at Thunderbolt. I'd guess the car would run high 26/27's which, which lines up with it doing 2:00's at VIR.

Setup needs some tweaking. It was our first shot at it, and it wasn't too bad.

Depends on version. I'd say it falls between a C7 GS and C7 Z51. Need to work on the alignment a bit more and see what that gets us.

Penske shocks and struts, and a panhard bar.
