Playing relaxed as always. I could perform way better by turning about half my deaths into kills since they were big mistakes of mine...I make them 'cause of boredom, losing focus, and playing like a headless chicken at moments.

Far from my best game, nothing special, just a nice game. I always play for fun, don't care at all about my rank and I get bored easily, that's why I did many mistakes after 6-0 that cost me many deaths and risk to lose some rounds.

resolution? sens? blackbars or stretched?
I don't remember much anymore, but as far as I remember: Resolution: Always used blackbars, not always 4:3 though. Sometimes I used 1400x1050 (4:3), other times 1600x1050 (practically 16:11). At one point, the resolution options changed, so I don't know if these are still available. Btw, I preferred the second one. Better vision. Sens: I can't tell you just "0.5 sens", because I had changed all kinds of mouse settings (mouse DPI was 16K, Windows sens was 2/11 or 3/11), so objectively 0.5 is very slow. Now, as I see it, best sens for me is when you drag your mouse to the right to make a full 360-degree circle in CS, and the mouse travels around 35 cm to complete this circle. Note! Always "raw mouse input" should be on. That disables the acceleration. Acceleration isn't optimal for shooter games.
I can appreciate the stage design on this one ...
Damn dude you are so smooth and swag with this game
@@Joesmith-ub3sq Thank you very very much! To be fair, since my goal was to compete the game without receiving any damage (whenever possible), it took lots of practice and lots of failures. Meaning, I spent so much time, and all this practice is noticeable in my gameplay, I guess. PS: I didn't save throughout each level. There are many levels that I screwed up at the end multiple times, so I replayed the whole level again. Damn, I had way too much free time.
How do you know which switches to pull? like the correct order
A visual example is at 5:16. If you pause, you can see 5 greek letters at the top of the door. The "Υ" represents the switch you have to pull, and the "Ω" represents the switch you should keep unpulled. That's how I opened this door at 4:00. Each door has different combinations. One door is missing a letter, but you can guess it by trying either switched or not. In case you ask how I knew the combinations without looking at the doors, I memorized them while practicing to make this video less boring by losing time while searching.
God, fuck this level.

any tips on deagle in 1.6, im a cs2 player and i am not understanding this at all
The principles are similar to CS2. You have to completely stop moving for the bullet to go (ALMOST always) exactly at the center of the crosshair. I think in CS 1.6, it's more important to master movement instead of mastering every gun separately, because, for example enemy shoots you, then you should strafejump to avoid his bullets, and when you land...if you land with technique, you can almost instantly shoot on target. Sorry for not being able to explain the movement part better, but in general, deagle is an easy gun to handle, since usually it's been used to shoot slowly. PS: If you are playing medium-low range, you can be precise even while you move, but not AW/DW movement...only A/D...the accuracy is off just by a little, but it's still kinda precise.
@@Neo_v23 Alright, thanks a lot, will look more into the movement then.

So what's interesting is I fondly remember back when I was stuck in the Palace Midas. I finally beat the level using my instincts. Back then when I used to play Tomb Raider on my PlayStation 2 we didn't have the internet the way we have it now to where we can go on UA-cam and watch walkthroughs or go on the internet and find how to beat levels. I eventually figured out the real purpose of the Hand of Midas in the level and I eventually figured out that there were codes on the doors and that they represented the levers. By the time I got my first two lead bars, I figured out that you had to use the Hand of Midas to turn them to gold.
Yea. This game creates a brilliant feeling if you solve it on your own, especially at a smaller age. When my sister was around the age of 10-12 and started playing the TR Classics, i was always suggesting her to not use walkthroughs, but unfortunately she didn't follow my suggestion. Walkthroughs ruin the magic of exploring the unknown. It's ok being used very rarely, or watching a level that has already been passed, to see anything that someone could've missed. Well said about Palace Midas... beautiful level design.
@@Neo_v23 The problem is that in today's age all kids have ADHD because of all the technology and fast pace of the world, youtubers, tic tok, all of it. So there is no enthusiasm in patiently playing a game with slow results.
@@Joesmith-ub3sq I agree that nowadays we get easily bored by anything slow-paced. I'm victim of this myself after consuming lots of TikTok videos. Either method has it's ups and downs. As a kid, if you're playing without guidance, I believe it would be a better memory in the future. On the other hand, using walkthrough at times where you're stuck eliminates the boredom and you're constantly enjoying the game.
Thanks for posting , I had a lot of fun following you , more fun than the first time I played this game decades ago because now I know where to go 😂
Hehe, my pleasure. Thank you for your very nice comment. When i made these videos, apart from avoiding damage wherever possible, i had in mind to use simple tactics for someone who will watch these, having an easy time learning and performing them. I guess it worked.

Well, I made it past this section by somehow landing directly on the platform rather than falling past it! Feels a bit broken but I'll take it 😅

@@Neo_v23 Thanks :) my last attempt at this level was a complete disaster, I failed to find my weapons, got shot to pieces by the guy, went to all the wrong places in the wrong order! Starting the level again and following your video has saved my sanity 🙂

I'm missing those days when you used to upload CS 1.6 clips. Anyways I love all your videos.
Thank you man! I'm happy that you liked them. Look, I play CS on and off since 2003-2004. I continue to play because it has some magic spark that makes it very interesting until this day. I'm still trying to catch the spark in CS2 and start uploading more frequently. I've quit CS 1.6 for about 6 months now and have been playing CS2. I have done some great stuff in this game (i.e. in 15K lobby onetapping 4 out of 5 enemies with deagle), but didn't felt enough to upload since I didn't get the ace... Now, I feel like i'm getting closer to create good videos, either full games or clips of a round, because I have better gameplay more frequently. We'll see, but I feel like CS2 clips are gonna be just as good as CS 1.6 clips were. Hope you're gonna like them as well.

At 4:27 there is an easier way of doing this hard jump (the one with the 6 panthers). Go to the edge and take your distance as normal for a running jump. Now jump up twice. Lara goes forward just a tiny bit, enough for her to step on the last pixel in the air to make this jump possible. Now do a normal running jump from this updated distance and you will be able to grab the ledge. I think this method is a bit more consistent that the walk running jump, because sometimes you may miss the timing.
True! I would prefer to use your way, since my main goal is to show easy and consistent ways to get through hard situations. Thanks.
@@Neo_v23 No problem. I thought you would like to know about this little trick. It can be helful in many situations. It can also be used to consistently skip the end of the level Living Quarters in TR2. Instead of filling the pool with water to cross to the end of the level, this same trick works in order to grab that ledge. I used it on NG+ on the remaster. I sometimes use if for regular running jumps as well, just to be absolutely sure I won't miss it. Haha!
Hello! I know I'm late to the party, but your walkthroughs are superb! This no damage 100% type is something we really need, I was hoping that now that we have the remasters, you would consider start doing these walkthroughs again. Or at least this one, that wasn't finished. No pressure, though. Haha! You should allow yourself 2 or 3 saves per level, tho.
Hello and thank you for your kind words, I'm happy you enjoyed this type of "run". Well, if i get to save a few times per level, it might be bearable, at least for the earlier levels. I have never spent too much time in TR3, so I don't remember the levels that come later, meaning I can't judge from now, if this type of gameplay is possible. It might be a good idea for me to try it again and see, but with more saves. Back when i created these walkthroughs (TR1 and TR2) i had free time all day for months and I had spent insane amount practicing and attempting the run. Unfortunately, now my free time is very limited. I could try to attempt again for TR3, but with way more saves, which would definitely be kinda cheap. I really don't know if it's worth creating something with much less value (because the saves bring down the difficulty by a lot). I also don't know if many people would enjoy this TR3 walkthrough, since TR3 feels like it's been admired by less people than the other classics (probably because of the high difficulty), so not many would be interested in watching. What can i say...I don't know. It's a good idea and thank you for that, but I'm a bit skeptical about it yet. I might give the practice a try soon. One question though. A few people have asked me if i'll replay the remastered TR1 and TR2...i was wondering if it would be something someone would enjoy if i uploaded. Meaning, i already have a walkthrough uploaded, so someone could see a great gameplay, plus, other youtubers have uploaded the remaster already, so viewers have seen what they wanted, someone with decent gameplay to play the remaster. That's the only reason i haven't replayed the remaster, since i don't see anything that could be created that's not already out there. I would be really thankful if you could tell me what you would like to see. PS: Keep in mind that there were some levels (i.e. TR2 - Tibetan Foothills) which took me about 3 weeks to succeed and upload, meaning if i start now, and IF i succeed, it could take months to finish TR3.
@@Neo_v23 Thank you for your answer. To be fair, I am subscribed to your channel since a few months before the announcement of the remasters, specially because of your walkthrough for TR2. I don't know how youtube algorithm works, so, being completely honest, I don't know if it would "work" as to make your channel grow. What I can say is that I would definitly watch it again, and I do believe that Tomb Raider fans that come across your channel would also watch them. You are correct that there are many other walkthroughs out there. Some are better than others. Bad players just show themselves finishing the game or getting specific achievements, often while missing kills or pickups. Average players tend to do 100% walkthroughs, and the biggest handicap is to not use medikits. Good players tend to do speedruns, even when their goal is to serve as a guide. Since their main goal is the absolute fastest time, usually they don't care about taking damage, since using a medkit is faster than fighting enemies. Your aproach is kind of unique to me, and I like it a lot. It's not just about skill, you also have some pretty good strats that I think are quite worth sharing. About the saves, your are correct that they bring the difficulty down, but TR3 levels tend to be quite big. So it would be like doing 3 TR1 or 2 TR2 levels together. I think 2 or 3 saves per level would be quite acceptable. So yes, I will rewatch your walkthroughs for TR1 or 2, if you remake them, and I will watch the TR3 one as well, if you do it.
@@andrevieira3312 Thank you for your support. I have no goals to grow this channel, thus I don't try at all (for example I don't make thumbnails, I don't create clickbaity titles, don't upload consistently even lower quality content just to keep the algorithm working on my side, etc). I usually create and upload content that I would want to watch and enjoy as a viewer, for the viewer. By saying that I assume TR3 has a smaller fanbase compared to the other classics, I meant that I believe fewer people might enjoy my content. It's different to create something great that thousands of people would enjoy, instead of a handful of people, giving the amount of work and time this takes. Anyway, I thought about this again, and I find it interesting, so I'll give this game one more try...gonna practice it probably within this month. Yeah, speedrunners are insane. I don't think that I'm lacking much skill in the TR classics, but some speedrunners are definitely way more skilled than me. I used to watch many TR1-TR5 glitched speedruns. The way they angle themselves perfectly to perform all kinds of glitches is a joy for the eye.
@@Neo_v23 Great news! I'll watch and try to support.
