Mary Carney was a good replacement for Kate Mulgrew and never understood why they replaced her with that drippy actress Kathleen Tolan. They should have gave Mary a chance and kept the Mary character active on the show. Not sure how long the actress would have wanted to have stayed on the show but the dynamics of having the character on the show definitely would have been different keeping the character alive.

It was a pleasure finally seeing Catherine Hicks' in her first role. I knew she left some time in 1978, I didn't know it would be now

Great actress Louise Shaffer. She played Rae Woodard on Ryan's Hope, Stephanie Wyatt on Search For Tomorrow, Josie/Serena Faraday on The Edge Of Night, and Allison Hathaway on Where The Heart Is. All of her fans are proud of her, including me;

I miss the late great Nanci Addison Altman. She was great not only as Jillian Coleridge on Ryan's Hope, Kit Vested on The Guiding Light, and as Deborah on Loving. Nanci Addison Altman also played on The Dain Curse, a CBS TV miniseries also starring the late great James Coburn, and she was also in a commercial for Johnson's Baby Powder in which she played a bride and Teri Keane who played Martha Marceau on The Edge Of Night played her mother in this commercial. The late great Nanci Addison Altman will always and forever be missed. RIP Nanci Addison Altman.

Wow so many Star Trek people got their start on this show. Kate Mulgrew, Catherine Hicks, Andrew Robinson, Daniel Hugh Kelly, Nana Visitor. Also Nell Carter (Gimme A Break) and Earl Hindman (Home Improvement as Wilson)
