Absolutely brilliant discussion! I am purchasing both books. This conversation made me feel so seen, heard, and understood! Some emotions I felt during this podcast were love, connection, and pure joy. Your explanation of brand codes-chef’s kiss 💋. Commercial and creative friction-oh, for the love of all things holy, that is a dynamic dance and puzzle and As a fellow brand builder/creative marketer, I find it the seedling and watering to many ideas that become real, which is so energizing for a business and brand! Yes 🙌 Please bring more humanity to marketing and continue bringing Oscar-worthy stories to life! ❤

Annie has some great points e.g. not too many followers who aren't relevant, repurposing content. One thing she does is give people the confidence that they can do it because it doesn't have to be complicated.

Around 18:47, lots of people want to be popular content creators, but few put forth the effort it demands, similar to the commitment required in music or acting pursuits. Personally, I run a relatively niche blog with approximately 50 dedicated followers who actively engage with the content. For a niche topic that's a lot. I'm cool with that and happy to be filling "the room" instead of "the stadium".

Here are some of the notes I took from what I really resonated with!! It’s the stillness and silence that allows you to connect and broadcast what you want.” - Master Co “Your stillness will allow you to access a lot of information. From there, your kindness, and love, is what will show in your speech, and your actions. As long as I focus on the value and the goodness I want to give to people, they will sense this. In reality, people buy from how they feel. When they look at you and trust you, it’s not because they thought of it, it’s because they feel it. When you talk, the material you send out, when you communicate with people on the internet or face to face, if they can feel the transparency and kindness in you, on my opinion, that is more attractive and magnetic than even the most expensive marketing material you can come up with.” - Master Co You can get a feel for the intent: push va invite. - Scott Martin “People are looking for the real you; can you really help me.” - Master Co. “You’re not marketing, all you’re doing is sharing what’s in your heart.” “No matter who good you are or what you have to offer, if it can’t get through to the other side, you’re not fulfilling your destiny. You have something very good. You have something that could help a lot of people. It’s your obligation to get it out. & the medium or avenue to do that is using the right words and material to get it across to them. People call it marketing, it’s just opening your heart and sharing. As we change the framing, we move forward. It’s mindset.” - Master Co “We need to have more people with great intention marketing.” - Scott Martin “One thing that has helped me is, instead of focusing on: ‘I’m marketing’, what if I focus on sitting down and telling a friend of a product that has helped me. How would I do it? Or I have this friend and I want to make sure that he also benefits from this, then the mindset is very very different. Now I’m really sharing and I’m really wanting that person to get involved because it will help him. By just doing that it changes the way you think. Instead of just your friend, now you have 20 friends. How would you do it? Same thing. Over a period of time, it changes the way you think, and you’re able to share with more people in your marketing.” - Master Co “Meditation is learning to listen - when it’s quiet. Because when it’s noisy, of course you’re going to hear! Once you’re quiet, then your antenna is up, and the information comes in. It’s a matter of using your intellect afterwards to be able to sort it out: how can I use this for business. So first; get the data in, then sort it out. The mistake people make is trying to sort it out while receiving!!” - Master Co. “The biggest benefit of meditation is clearing the noise. When you do it properly you put yourself because of your good heart and good intention, in such a receptive mode, that you attract a similar vibration.” #Channeling!!!!!!!!! This is like a prayer! How can I best serve Creator/Creation in my business = intent, + gratitude + love 😮‍💨 Meditate, then brainstorm: Resting + rising ritual? (Working with a team idea): “On Tuesday night we have meditation night then we do brainstorming.” “CLARITY IS KING. If you have clarity you’ll know how to serve your customers, how to communicate, what to put in your marketing material. It’s because people don’t have clarity that they fumble around left and right.” - Master Co “… I feel like that’s also the work of branding, it’s a process of understanding the values and things you and your business want to espouse to. So it’s sort of like that but what you’re saying is on a much deeper level.” - Scott Martin “There are many levels of meditation. Your state of stillness goes deeper.” - Master Co. “Ones inner silence directly reflects their capacity for awareness” - Aaron abke. “The more often you meditate, the longer the effect lasts.” - Master Co. Meditating consistently increases the duration of the inner stillness. Guided meditation for spiritual buisness marketing. This is what master co does: “every piece of material that comes out of our office, everything from physical brochures to emails, we actually send light to it and visualise the people receiving it filled with love, happiness, and success. It’s an obligation, our part, to infuse everything we send with good energy, so at a minimum, we are serving them.” Like how you bless food, you’re blessing your product/service for the recipient! “When praying over food you’re neutralising any negative emotion that could be in there, and are filling it with life force.” You can do the same thing with anything!!! Even products.

This.❤️ I could listen to Dave all day. Being born in the 60s as well, I agree 100% with what he says about social media. Seen the progression and...I'm not impressed. Love Duel Diagnosis and their manifesto. I go into the site and read it often, when I have that need to feel understood. In that club, too. There are not enough words to express my admiration of this man and his friend for creating a place where mental illness is addressed openly, artistically - in pictures and in words, and in a shared space. Not as in "you have it", but "WE have it". What a beautiful man, inside and out.😘
