I got my Shin and the light up's are incredible but the batteries didnt last long with usage, needs a fresh set frequently ot work properly, just wanted to confirm you have had no issues with the dummy battery power supply set up you recommended and listed on another comment, I am ready to go this route if it is still working good for you, thanks for the recommendation, lmw!

do you have info on how you did the initial install? are you running linux and then batocera on top, or did you only install batocera?

Is you mini booting straight to Batocera? How did you do that, because I wrote the image to a blank ssd replaced the old hdd with the SSD, but it doesn't boot to anything :(

Hi, Bill. I’ve been trying to resurrect and repurpose an old 2012 i5 mini, and was excited to see your video that showed it could work. However, I’ve two issues here and were wondering if you fixed them: 1. I can’t automatically get the Mac to boot into Batocera, which is currently on a USB stick. (It will boot from holding Opt when turning the Mac on.) 2. I can’t for the life of me get the thing to connect to the network. If you have any tricks for either of the above, please let me know. If not, no worries. (I’m pretty close to giving up now and buying a little HP PC or something, but it’d be nice to use the mini if I can.)

I watched this video and tried it out on an old mac mini, too. It's great! Only way I was able to get it to launch on my mini though was by erasing the internal drive, so it was forced to launch the Batocera drive. I am having one issue if you can help out - the audio is not going through the HDMI but playing through the internal speaker. Is there a way to change that in Batocera?

I am actually going to do this to my stock mac mini from 2012 that has the i5 in it and 500gb hdd. I have linux on it currently but I probably will go ahead and install batocera on to it. I did get a 8bitdo bluetooth receiver so I can use my ps4 controller on it too. I really am looking forward to getting this to work and actually use it it without it just sitting in my closet lol.

Well I just ordered a skeleton from this company with work rewards points. Been looking at them for a couple years and read how cheap quality they where. Luckily it’s free for me otherwise seeing reviews I would have saved my money.

Store bought props look good but they have cheap motors and most will eventually quite.
