Didn't feature till later in the game off the bench. And 2002 Lomu was a far cry from 1995 or 1999 Lomu. Think his illness was starting to really affect him around that time.
He went to play for Biarritz when they were in the top 14 and played for Racing Metro and La Rochelle after that. When he was in NZ he was known as the fastest winger but was bad on defence. NZ teams couldn’t have too many overseas reps either and couldn’t have any overseas reps in certain positions. I think at the time NZ were low on wingers because every team had a Fijian winger that wasn’t eligible for NZ. Bobo got a lot better when he moved to France though.
Lomu was on the bench and didn't feature till late in the game. 2002 Lomu I think was when he was sadly at his lowest with illness whilst still playing rugby in NZ. Rupeni might still have run rings around a 1995 Lomu.. but can't kick a man while he's down, which is what Lomu was in 2002.
@ejsmith9194 yeah no I'm just saying I got all respect for Jonah Lomu what repeti has been my favourite player since I was 9-years-old, I am now 30, I used to put them on repeat all his videos study how he runs everything I was like fascinated and obsessed I used to watch him before training before games before sleep that's all I did the kind of distracted me from training hard so can I help me back a bit
@yessirrr5182 don't worry, I feel you on that one. I think Rupeni is the greatest attacking player to ever play the game. 15. Cullen 14. Caucaunibuca 11. Lomu Would always be my back three if picking a greatest of all-time team.
@@Tuks7210 But the 2 mentioned were quicker than Caucau in the 2003 Fiji squad. Vunibaka, Bobo, Caucau and Delasau. In that order over 100m. I remember Ligairi (or someone else in that squad) saying Caucau would be ahead at 60m then Vunibaka would just go past him followed by Bobo
Anyone has the full game.
Damn I remember this game live too… what a Legend …
❤❤❤
Pɔp
Bomb bow? 😅
No wonder Glen Jackson wanted to coach Fijians. 😂😂😂
Individual brilliance ❤
Lomu was on the field for the Canes, surprisingly for me and he couldn't do anything to salvage.

Bro he made Roger Randle a 7s flyer look like he was standing still
I wonder why they let him go?
Couldn't afford to keep him
Yep…ended up going to Europe for more money

Because he didn't gave them a chance to score a Try
He carved up lomu lol finally the truth has come, on his debut and sets up all the tries 😆 all this talk with one of the boys going back n forth

@ejsmith9194 I found my rugby 08 game on ps2 the other week, was jamming it on Saturday after the gym, still a great game, they need a remake
@yessirrr5182 definitely, best game ever bro.
Love Bobo!
Nice work.. Some footage haven't seen up before but remember from back in the days... Vinaka na upload👍
This guy was fast as F!! Him and Vunibaka were probably the two quickest players to play in NZ
And Rupeni Caucaunibuca

@@Nyasalands_Finest oh for sure, if it was a 100m dash but to create something out of nothing, that's where Caucau is different
