French Cleat Wall (with Plywood Storage)
I needed a solution for storing full sheets of plywood and my foam board in my small workshop. I created a French Cleat Wall with hidden storage. I got some inspiration from Drew @wittworks Check it out and let me know what you think!

Mobile Scrap Cart for my Small Workshop
Переглядів 42328 днів тому
This was a quick one-day build which will prove to be a real help in keeping my small workshop organized. I was inspired by @MakeSomething to go a little overkill by taking the time to edgeband the cart prior to assembly. It gave the cart a nice finished look. Below are some of the tools I used in this build. These are affiliate links that help support the channel. XFasten Double-Sided Tape: am...

Custom Pull-Out Shelf (One Day Build)
Переглядів 1,4 тис.2 місяці тому
In this woodworking video I build a laminated pull-out shelf in my pantry to accommodate heavy pots and pans. It was my first chance to use my new guide rail square and it worked perfectly. Thanks to @wittworks and @bentswoodworking for the recommendation on this tool. And my wife was super excited to have easy access to all of her cooking gear! Happy wife, happy life :-) Below is a list of som...

Epic Miter Station Build (Tons of Storage)
It looks great, do you have any plans for adding measurement?
Not yet but I’ve had a few requests so I’ll work on them soon
That's a lifetime supply of dowels for most people.
Haha, yes. But I need a bunch of them for laying up laminate.
I love this! Dowels and pipes are always a pain in the butt to store and this is simple, clean and easy to find
Thanks @jewdd1989! I was so tired of keeping them in a 5 gallon bucket.
This garage is getting so cool!! I love it!
Thank you @lianamillahh! 🙏
Sir, truly great job.Very inspiring, have you considered you may have a neurological issue with your shaking hands, possibly MS or Parkinson’s. I hope I am wrong, but maybe a check up is required?
Appreciate the concern but I’ve been shaking like this since I was around 20 years old. My dad shakes terribly and so did his dad. Crazy part is my brother is steady as a surgeon. I drew the short straw lol
will you release plans for this?
Yes, eventually. Working on completing the workshop first.
Awesome job. I would be interested in the plans as well.
That came out really nice. Storage behind a fake wall is genius!
Thank you! The garage is super small so it's working out nicely
That is a nice looking setup! I enjoyed watching. That Festool looked like it worked great on those cleats.
Thanks! Yes, the track saw worked perfectly. But I also attribute the accuracy to the quick clamps on the track. They do such a great job holding the track in place.
I got a place the this will work perfect only about 5 ft tall . I have been coming up with several ideas but this is simple and will work great . thanks for the idea.
Very nice!
Looks amazing!
Thanks @zafety!
Great job Rick! I love the false wall idea. Never thought about that. Brilliant trick for sheet goods. ❤
Thank you! Your last video was the best one yet!
@@SmallProjectCentralthanks
Looks good man! Easy trick is to clamp a piece of wood to the bottom of the cabinet to hold the door up while you screw the hinges in.
Thanks! I’ll have to give that a try on my next go round
Great fix idea on the drawer fitment. I wish I had a dollar for every video I’ve seen where the same thing happened, I’d have a Sawstop.
Thank you!
TY for the video. I've been thinking about doing something similar. Came out super nice.
Glad it was helpful!
Looks fantastic. Never ceases to amaze me as I watch shop buildouts like yours - the creative solution to problems and constraints is inspiring. I love your fusion of practicality with clean design!
Wow! Thank you so much for the kind words @Nachoze70
I like the false wall idea and you've got a good start with the french cleats. - Chris
Thank you! @fcschoenthal
I can't wait til the grandchildren come along so Manny can build one of these to put in our. Oak trees for them.
Well tell that son of yours to get busy 😎
This is seriously impressive, keep it up!
Thank you!!
The baby shirt is the best one!!!
Oh I agree :-)
Yesss 🎉
🎉🎉🎉
I LOVE these and they work really well in keeping the kitchen organized! 😅
Yes! I should add more

Thanks @rayarnold8275! Appreciate the comment and the sub! More videos coming soon. And I’m a Ford guy since I started driving…Mustang, F250 and now an Edge.
Harbor freight clamps are great and cheaper
Thanks for the tip!
Great video Rick! I need to build me one of those carts for my shop! Sounds like you got another video lined up… “How to make an assembly table” haha
Thanks 🙏🏻 @MichaelBuilds
Scrappy!
Haha
Neat 🤓
Gracias mi hija
Good job on the build and the video. The loud annoying music brought on a migraine though.
Thanks! I'm still learning to edit videos and audio def needs some work. Appreciate the feedback
How do you like your new track rail square? I’ve been looking at getting one
@ericmichaud3331 I'm loving it. It snaps on really quick and is giving me square cuts. It's sped up all my cross cuts
Great video!! Love seeing how the apple boxes were made. Thank you so much!!!!!
Thank you! I now you’re going to make great use of them!
Oh so satisfying
Very!
How the sausage is made! Cool 😎
Auto body filler works great on mdf to fill the screw holes. Used to do that in a cabinet shop when we made Formica tops
Nice to know! I'll definitely try that next time. Appreciate the tip!

2:05 don’t you mean 44.5 😉
Ha! Yessssssssss!!
Thats a good way to scratch the surface
Agree, but the laminate has a peel coat on it so I wasn’t concerned about scratching the surface. But good catch!
Well done! Saw you later got the track square from TSO. Makes using the tracks so much easier and more accurate. Like someone commented below…you have partaken of the green festool kool aid….oh my,,,you’re in for it now. Ask me how I know, lol.
Thanks! @rw7532 LOL...kool aid...I like to think of it more as a fine wine, you get what you pay for :-)
Hey man, the fix for your measuring mistake is genius! I was thinking to put the spacer on the cabinet. Putting it on the drawer is perfect.
Thanks! But your idea would work just as well. I was just trying to hide the mistake 😭
Nice work! 🎉
Thanks! 😁
❤ very nice
Thank you for the advice!
Very high end job… really smart. Liked & subscribed 😊
Thank you! And thanks for the sub!
You can make yourself a sanding block with 80 grit paper and just sand on the side grain.
Are you referring to the edge banding?
I guess you mean 28.375"/6=4.729166666666667 as apposed to 721mm/6=120.1666666666667 Maybe Old Sun and Bu works better? Maybe rounding works. Any system will give a fraction, Decimal fractions are always better. Everything depends on the thinker. Think 3 times, Measure twice, cut once and always remember Murphy (of Murphy's Law Fame) was an optimist! I build all my cabinets in metric using (32mm multiples) for balanced panels, but most other things in Imperial. I really like your miter station build, but I dislike converting imperial to metric or the other wat around. I build to the measurements of my plan. Now do yourself a favor and Buy a Kapex KS 120 REB. I do not recommend any Festool Drill or Driver simply because the Bit Price is ridiculous, I use DeWalt 20V and Bosch 12V. I do like Festool Corded Routers and the LR 32 Cabinet system that works with the OF1010 and the OF 1400. Whenever possible I use CMT Metric 1/4" shank router bits. I own no Festool Battery powered tools, None. Again. I really like your video and Miter station.
Thanks @royr327! 30+ years ago I had a one-man cabinet shop and had a Blum boring machine with the 7 spindle line boring attachment. I built everything on the 32mm system and it worked great. Fast forward to today, I'm literally starting over. I've definitely been eyeing the Kapex 120. I'm trying to figure out my next "big" spend (bonus check dependent LOL). I'd like to invest in a SawStop and decent router table. And dust control is paramount. So many decisions!
Nice job! Cut your festool bags at the bottom and use a small piece of wood to roll it up, clamp it with small clamps, and just empty the bag that way. It barely leaves any dust in the actual container and you save THOUSANDS in buyer their bags. (I bet someone that’s handy with a needle and thread could sew a zipper on it)!
Thanks @shawnhillis5829 ! Thanks for the tip! I did already buy a 5-pack of bags 😭
@@SmallProjectCentral well I don’t even own one but just watched another YT video on how to save $ with supplies and came across that tip. 😂 I plan to do it with the rigid shop vac after I run out of the multi pack I just bought too 🥲
