By day I'm a salesperson in the building industry. By weekend, I'm an aspiring woodworker. Join me as I build my home workshop out and design and build cabinets and furniture for my family and friends.
Tiny Laundry Room (Tons of Storage)
Transforming our outdated laundry room to a modern, functional space. I increased our storage and added some pull-outs for easy access to everyday items.

Garage Renovation - Major Overhaul
Переглядів 1,3 тис.4 місяці тому
My garage workshop has to share space with essential household goods. Our storage was under-utilized so I designed floor to ceiling cabinets with lots of adjustable shelves, installed new flooring and even added a TV. I'm loving the transformation! #garagemakeover #diy #garage Below are some of the tools I used for my builds. These are affiliate links that help support the channel. XFasten Doub...

Nice seeing that Porter Cable router.........Long live tools with cables!
I never knew apple boxes had size standards. tHanks for the video
Liked it. Obviously just a regular guy like me. I'll be watching more. Good luck. Remember....Saw Dust is Man Glitter
@tonybiller6378 thank you! Man Glitter! I love it 😃
Nice job great work but I cant subscribe the music is to loud a you don't need it when you are talking
Thanks for the feedback!
Those are great projects. I wish I still had little ones to build for. - Chris
Thanks! It was a fun build. Finally got to use my Japanese hand saw.
I am fond of tree supports as I find them much easier to remove from the print (this becomes more important with stronger filament and filament in hard to reach places). Overall though, nice work and smart move flipping it over to print!
Thank you! I’ll definitely try tree supports on my next print.
You got this bro! Congrats on your first design and print!
@KingTonyagc thank you! I feel like this is just the beginning 😃
Nice!
Thank you!
Well done!!
Thank you 😃
Good for you on your first design and print. When printing, you need supports when the layer is going to print basically over nothing, and you've got to think about how to orient the piece to minimize the supports. It's a challenge, but you did it right. Congrats! - Chris
Thanks @fcshoenthal !! I did wind up changing the print orientation. It saved over 300g of filament and an hour of print time
Great video! Your project looks fantastic. I especially like the patterned laminate on the drawer fronts. Thanks for sharing 👍👍
Thank you so much! I'm really happy with how it turned out. And thanks for watching!
Ol boy shakes like Don Knotts! I feel ya bud, i shake bad myself.
It actually helps me sometimes 😜
Looks nice
Thank you!
Great craftsmanship my friend!
@kpedro161 Thank you!! Appreciate the kind words 😃
А верхние как установить?
У меня на канале есть полное видео о том, как я делал шкафы.
Is your dryer still moveable? How do you clean out your dryer vent?
@julianmartinez1593 the dryer vent is literally on the other side of the wall it backs up to. So we only have about one foot of hose. I’m able to clean it out from the outside. Excellent question!
@SmallProjectCentral oh that's great!
Interesting 🤓
Glad you think so!
That laminate looks cheap. Wouldn't IKEA look better / be cheaper? Or given all the work involved, why not paint the doors? Or use wood veneer? I guess I'm a bit allergic to plastic laminate. The door handles look dated as well.
@gudrune thanks for taking the time to watch the video! IKEA furniture is a thin film on particle board, very susceptible to dents and swells with moisture. HPL on a plywood core performs extremely well in our tropical climate.
I;ll never again use a front loading washer.
We had one for years and loved it. Didn’t have a lot of luck with the top load so we’re going back
@ the rubber seal is always wet and smells even if we always leave the door cracked open.
@ ah yes, the wet seal. I guess we’ve been lucky in that ours dries out fairly quickly. Time will tell.
@ it’s a small thing but I do miss my large LG top loader
I’d reckoned the Dewalt 7491 jobsite table saw. I’ve had mine for years and no complaints. The fence is dead on every time and it takes a dado stack.
I was looking at that one!
You're so funny. After retirement, I recommend stand up! We'd go watch. 😂😂😂
😂🤣
That laundry room looks great. I'd route my guests through there to get anywhere else in the house! You are the laminate master!
Wow, thank you!
The finished product is so clean!! ✨
I think so too!
Great job. Your wife’s add ons really worked. 😅
Yes, yes they do 😜
I knew that!
I wonder why 😜
@SmallProjectCentral 😆😂🤣😆😂🤣😆😂🤣
Nice end result, even with all of the challenges. - Chris
@fcschoenthal thanks! It was definitely a learning experience
You are doing an outstanding job with your skills. I totally enjoyed watching. Keep up the good work!
@robin22956 Thank you very much!!
I love this! #nyk!
Thanks 🥰
Nice! #nyk
@zafety thanks 🙏🏻
Very nice! How thick are the materiels you are working with?
@markskellet6870 thanks! The cabinets are 3/4” birch plywood , drawers 3/4” sides and 1/2” bottoms. Probably a little overkill on the drawers but I’m loading them with a lot of heavy tools.

Well done ... can you please come build one for me?
Haha, I’m sure you can do it. Its pretty straight forward

Awesome addition to the miter station - looks great and will be very useful. As always - great looking work!
Thank you! Appreciate the kind words @Nachoze70
So detailed in your builds. I love the level of organization you obviously prefer. 😊
Thank you 😃
Beautiful work!
Thank you very much! 😃
Only a few of us know how frustrating it is trying to draw or woodwork with tremors. Nice work on the guide rail. - Chris
Thanks Chris. It’s all starting to come together
Is that wood edgebanding and if is does that cutter works good? Please.let know much appreciate it and a name.for the trimer
@kainscs it’s birch edgeband. The trimmer is a Virutex. I like it but next time I’ll get one that trims both sides at once
@@SmallProjectCentral thank you sir
Awesome dude
Thanks 😁
I just ordered some samples to play with and see how I like it @tiltedknot
@SpazedMick let me know what you think when you get them. I think you'll like it....both FENIX and TUET
Very, very nice~!! Exactly the build I need to do next for my workshop. I've had Jay Bates' plans for a couple of years now, but just haven't executed. This was great motivation to get started. Great job~!
@andrewbrown8148 thank you! 😃
Fenix ! This is just amazing!
Thank you 😃
F E N I X ! 😃 Nice little project there - and really do like the look of that Fenix matte product. Sometimes the practical problems present some of the most fulfilling solutions. Thanks!
Totally agree! Thank you 🙌
FENIX! Nice job; looks slick!
Thank you! @zerofiz I just hope she likes it as much as I do 😂
If you ever decide to try edge banding those inside curves again, you might try a seam iron. It is a small triangular shaped iron used in sewing to press the seams. (My wife is a seamstress, and I would never use hers for a project.) Not too expensive, around $25.
@scotshaw8479 thank you! I will definitely invest in one. More curves coming soon. Appreciate the tip!
You should create a miniseries of mini home projects!!
@alyssamiller9240 great idea!!!
I love the transformation you've made! I appreciate seeing you working in the space with all the stuff you need to store. It is definitely a challenge. Your space looks great:)
Thank you very much @The_Bearded_Lady ! Lots more to come but I'm definitely happy with the progress so far
You would get a better edge by filing down and using longer strokes.
I was actually filing down. Just had the file turned upside down. It was kinda tough to pull long strokes on such a small piece.
