Thank you for your tutorial it inspired me a lot😄😃
Would you recommend this for a jamming guitar? Like a sludge/doom metal or just some heavy shit? I’m thinking of buying solely based on the look and being very cheap but I’m also considering a more expensive guitar like a epi Les Paul or maybe a esp
@@osvaldolopes6674 absolutely. It works for just about anything. I played a show with it, 1300 people in the audience. Didnt have any issues
@@MathiasBronnes ahah I guess I’ll have to buy it then. Nice guitar collection btw
Motley crue - Looks That Kill 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
2:31 what's the riff from?
Thats my own riff. But very similar to painkiller
good job !
This is awesome.. no you are not a shitty guitar-player, this is a great review video, I my mind, nothing can go wrong with a Les Paul, I dont own an Epiphone Les Paul, but Gibson Les Paul's, I do believe that you could do one video like this for each guitar you own, and put out one video a week.. that would keep you busy for a year or so.. :D thanks.
Seriously, you turned the song into a literal torment 😒
Jim Matheos used an ART Power Plant on the Fates Warning album Perfect Symmetry. When I saw Fates Warning on tour in the early 1990s, Matheos was using ART SGX 2000 on stage. ART rack gear can sound really great if you know how to use it, as you have shown.
I donated one of these to the salvation army.
@@vminator that was kind of you :)
*You should add a TWO NOTES CAB-M with the MIDI PROGRAMABILITY! You will really be able to bring the very best out of that ART system and expand you tones like you never ever thought and SAVE presets and recall with MIDI...!
*I know you are excited!*
🤘
I would just jump in and do it. Grab a guitar, say what you do know about it and just play it with a nice clean, crunch, and lead sound. You'll likely get a lot of comments letting you know more on the specs of the guitars. I wouldn't worry too much about using 1 preamp / power amp / cab all the time. Just use what you think that guitar will vibe the best with. The only other thing you might want to do is to get an SM57 or something similar and mic up a cab. Unfortunately, though, that does add that post production element to the process. That's why I don't do audio + video, haha.
Not a bad preamp, especially for what you can get them for. If I remember correctly, a friend's band recorded a whole album with one back in the early 2000s. Nicely done!
This is not too bad!
Nice video
now one thing you can do is to make a vdei where you go over how mutch everything you have baught cost overall
I would probably choose one preamp you think will sound good with your insane collection of guitars. You can always do research online on different guitars because you can almost always find specs. Given that you have over 60 guitars you could probably do several in one video. If you can determine the point of origin you could do made in Japan, made in Korea, made in USA, etc
Hi, great idea, i think you just could sit right there, grab a guitar and then: This is my Jackson Kelly KE2 made in 2001, it has an alder body and maple neck, rosewood fretboard with 24 frets and as you can see it has shark inlays, this has a an original Floyd Rose tremolo system and the pickups are passive Jackson stock ones, the guitar is in really good condition even though its quite old now, the retail on this back in 2001 was around 1500 US dollars and today around 4000 US dollars, I´ve had it for 4 years now and it plays great, its not in my top 10 but its a great guitar. ohh and it does not have a case.... would something like that work good for you ? I think it would be great, if you have any Gibson Les Pauls I can help you with information about those since I am pretty damn good on those guitars. :D
Great that you are making demos of your gear! Keep it up!!!
Does it have a harmonizer effect in it?
@@animalrave7167 i believe it does
I still use mine on a very regular basis. Only drawback is that after about 25 years you need to get it recapped. Other than that, it's a tank. Soundwise. I can get the Fender-y clean all the way up to a hot rodded Marshall. For me, that's all I need.
I have one of these in mint condition hardly ever used brought it over 30+ years ago
Excelente trabajo ,Master.
I had a art sgx2000 ,it had the best hard rock, hair metal tone of any guitar amp or fx unit ,i have used . They are going for a lot of cash on ebay , over £500.
I own 4. 2 for guitar and 2 for bass. Got them all under 300
I paired my Rocktron Gainiac 1 with a BBE Sonic Maximizer (at the input it seemed that the gainiac needed it [please try it!]) and sent it through a Mesa Boogie Simul 395. It caused a 3 degree rise in the planet's temperature from all the face-melting gain! 🥲 Now, the Gainiac 2, not sure how that made it out of the gate. It just didn't have it for me.
@@tkdazzler1-130 ill definetly try that :)
*Congratulations! I know you are plenty excited.*
I own 3 830 825 and 8080. Extreme petal or extreme Plus are the amp in pedal form. 30 bucks for the pedal. And it will turn any amp into an art DST. They also have the DST 4 Which doesn't have the power amp section. The amps were manufactured 97-99. They're all I use and I've owned about every kind of amp. I had a hiwatt dr201 but that was a totally different beast. Also the old Randall century amps are terrific. But if you're preempt doesn't sound right there is a preamp 12ax7 tube inside you might want to put a vintage one in it. So I know the literacy is going to be bad because I'm talking to my phone so please excuse it. Because since I click on it to post it's going to change everything to what it thinks it should be.
Sounds really good man.
I'll buy that DR1 if you want to sell it :) (it's great lofi-reverb with synths)
@@32herz its here to stay, sorry😅
oh man that's nice ART collection back there! :D
How have you done the routing ? Where does the sound comes out ?
@@AugusteAustere the preamp goes into a studio mixing desk, which sends the signal to my poweramp and 4x12
Cool video Bro ! And nice gears ! Continu making those 🤘
I guess the hush in the rocktron gap could help with the hiss and the clean sounds very good, distorted a bit far away, efx mix too high. This is what my ears are saying. Keep on rocking!
@@ivicapavlovic3879 for sure. I need to make two different fx mixes for the preamp.
Thinking of buy a prophesy 2 , is it better than the art fx unit in your rack , i had one and it was the best fx unit i have owned .
@@matthewgrainger3658 its great in its own way. I wouldnt sleep on any of them
Great man!
It's nice, but here's the problem. You can now get a Boss Katana Artist MK 2 100 watt combo for under $350.00. Throw in a Airstep foot controller for 70 bucks (current) and for around 400 bucks, you've got a pretty decent sounding rig. Add another Katana (any make) and you can run them in stereo using the stereo expand on the back of the Artist model and the other Katana as the slave. Now you have a stereo rig for around 500 to 600 bucks. And it sounds killer. Pretty hard to beat for the price. Plus, the only thing you have to lug around is the Amp(s) and the foot controller. The Katana Artist MK 2 allows up to 5 effects simultaneously, but I don't think you can run dual delays but don't take that as gospel. You can, of course, add a delay pedal of your own though.
Nah. Ill stick to my rack.

I've got one of these. Yes all the sounds are preset for di''ing/mixer/clean power amp etc. They are very useable if you tweak to suit. But if you use this through a normal guitar amp or head/cab then you have a super versatile all in one solution that can really get any tone with any effect (turn speaker sims off and once again tweak to suit - no pain no gain!). It sounds somewhat thicker than the GP100 and also the GX700 is slightly boxy/metallic in comparison. BTW 40x10 does indeed=400!
I hope you feel better soon. I'm looking forward to seeing your next movie!!
Rock N' Roll 💪
damn you got all the oddball rack gear! I envy you!
mine has a low hum to it in the background.
@@djpopcorn most of these old units do. Its nothing to worry about.
@@MathiasBronnes thanks, I didn't want to start taking it apart and fooling around inside. Though I do wonder about experimenting with changing the tube, but I don't want to go spending exorbitant amounts of money for it.
@@djpopcorn the tube doesnt really do anything.
@@MathiasBronnes ?? It doesn't affect the sound??
@@djpopcorn not really mate. It was just a marketing gimmick. Its mostly a digital preamp.
Greetings from Russia! Pantera will rise again.
Great high gain tone. Sounds like Judas Priest.
This thing was the schxxx back in the time! But nearly impossible to program. The followers 2112 and 2120 where way better in that regard.
@@Worlds_Worst_Guitarist true! I like the tone and usability of the 2120 better.
@@MathiasBronnes I've got the Johnson Millenium Amps afterwards, which where essentially a 2120 in an Amp. Ever regret selling it.
Never heard of these before or even ever seen one. BTW it really sounds BadAss!
