@@Android-mw6ut most games are encoding there Surround Mix via a formating layer and to get the ”True Surround” audio files to begin to sound sometimes Dolby the native surround standard is the right choice. There are ZERO native DTS Surround games, its just a cheap lower latency format. Dolby Digital is superior, it has been on the market and leading it since the 80s. Its safe to say that Industry Standard is the way to go with these things. Dolby Atmos uses a Headphones virtual surround mix layer on-top of the Dolby Digital Mix layer and it adds weird distorsion and because the Logitech Z906 cannot speak in the Atmos language the speakers can be hurt and damaged over time.

@@wolfmanjohn2823 Yes! There are more then atleast 5 in ports on the back of the Logitech system, use aux or optical it will work fine. To use true native surround mixes of audio in games and movies it has to be in dolby digital or dts surround format on console and pc and you need to use an optical cable for that.

@@EverythingPS5Pro ok next question. the ps5 slim has on the back one hdmi / one eathernet / and two usb..... on the front it has two usb-c . how do i hook up the monitor and the sound system? i have looked for hdmi splitters but don't see any that work together usually it says its a swithc.

@avnermash15 No, I am using the Soundblaster app on PC. The Creative app is for the phone when using G3. And I know nothing about a Connect 2.2 app 😞

@@Phoenix-zm5gv leave it on sharpness 50 if it looks sharp enough, its up to you to decide if its too much or too little. But as I said if there is no white lines on the tree branches then its not crushing the contrast on the sharpness atleast so thats good 👍

@@Phoenix-zm5gv on my TV it sharpens and smoothes out small lines and text resolution on the hud gets improved. It gets more aggressive on 80% sharpness and on HDR mode it is twice as aggressive, so on HDR I leave it on 60%. I do not believe they are doing the same thing. Philips and LG are very different companies in-terms of accuracy. LG is miles better, but needs more closer calibration to look perfect. Whilst Philips tvs are more simplistic. Try to stand close to the TV and dial in the sharpness and super resolution until the edges around characters become sharper and less blurry. Then boost it for fun a little higher for a more pure effect, FPS on Game Optimizer (Game Bar) should look better on LG C1 you can always try that aswell. Rule of Thumb: try to look at characters in a singleplayer game that are longer then 10-20meters away from your cameras pov. The resolution should become less sharp at that distance in Performance Modes across games so thats were you should look first when dialing in the sharpness. @@EverythingPS5Pro Yeah man it would be so good if you make a video. Cause on plasma’s channel he usually talks about pc, reshade, settings. All that stuff is for pc, but we need more tips and tricks for console users too. Super resolution setting is what confuses me. There is medium,low, and high. Low is very,very subtle. Medium is almost like low, i don’t see a mind blowing difference between low and medium. They look almost the same, but high is where it does the most sharpening effect. Do i left sharpness on 40 cause, I thought that if sharpness on your tv is set in 8 then it equals 40 on my tv. And super resolution set on high. BUT sharpness depends on the game, cause each game has different upscaling method, style. So instead of gaming, i get frustrated cause i don’t know when to stop sharpening, and what super resolution should i choose for each game. Regarding FPS preset on tv, i told Ariel that on latest lg tvs sharpness acts the same but, for example on his when you switch game optimiser presets std to fps or any other preset it is more sharp but in game optimiser sharpness is set to 10 in every preset, and colors are more vibrant. NOW… the reason it is like this, is because on newer models firmware they don’t hide it, for example sharpness setting in fps and other mode except std is set to 25 and color depth is set to 65. This is why when you change presets sharpness and colors are different, so sharpness 25 is like 10 on fps and 30 is 15. And if you change color depth to 55 both of the presets will look same. But sharpness still lacks, cause on consoles upscaling method are worse then on pc’s. I don’t know what super resolution option should i choose. So you need to test each game, to get right. But I don’t know how to, so your video will help me immensely!🫱🏻‍🫲🏼😊

If its under 55-65inch it will become less sharp on the 4K scaling.

@@goodboiii1710 Yes! The sound is great, the sound volume is a louder then when just plugged into the controller, for me its on the edge of being almost a little too loud by only almost. They push the headphones to 90% power, G6 will sound a little better in-terms of clarity in audio and willl get so loud it can even damage the headphones, it has enough power to overclock the headphones to 130% MAX volume and that with enough time will hurt your ears and damage the drivers in the headphones. The tips I give in the video are the best ways to use it with PS5 😎👍

@@knavenformed9436your missing the point of the video, blue black level raise is an issue that should not happen in anygame, they probably made this decision instead of making all assets blue whice would take time, they instead opted to break the colour gamut to make it blue. Its cringe and sad how a big corporation cannot get it right. The blue tint isn’t the issue, as stated in the video. Watch the video again. My colours on my tv are very low to make games artistic intent remain, however my iPhone camera likes to boost orange and blue somewhat, all of my friends on PS5 all have this issue in SDR and in HDR, so no its not local on my system.

@@EverythingPS5Pro Well that's a different issue if the recording tool screws up the issue even harder I could run the game with HDR on PC to see how it does, but I always leave HDR off in any game, it never seems to be consistent and has a lot of problems.

My phone camera shows the issues perfectly fine. For me and the industry its all about calibration accuracy, and this is not made in a proper manner. Blue deletes the details underneath it. It could have been done in a much better way.

@@EverythingPS5Pro Constructive rant i think. I experience the same thing color pallet gorgeous one minute and sux the next. HDR on ? or HDR off ? Does RTX actually help. My other games, Lies of P, Helldivers 2, Remnant 2 are gorgeous all the time. What gives with ER ?

I remember Ariel “Plasma TV for Gaming” talking about how the image in his opinion looked a little better on the sharpness on that setting. He makes amazing videos on best LG OLED visual settings for gaming, you should check him out, you can find him in the description of the video 😎👍

@@EverythingPS5Pro Yeah I came from his channel 😄, fps 10 looks not so sharp for my tv, i have heard in your video that you use super resolution to get sharp image. On lg tvs there is also super resolution function. I use ps5, and i play in performance mode so resolution suffers

a scary bug that could happen if the PS5 got to hot under gameplay, was a long time ago now and has since been fixed.

I have more professional settings if thats what your after, this video showcases a more fun looking image for the viewer, more pop and colour saturation. What do you wanna tweak your Philips for?

I would love to get those, i have the -9 settings in your earlier comments. What im after are deep black levels en bright colours in HDR and Dolby Vision

@@TheDarkKnight201 then if HDR is your primary goal, I would recommend u to lower the black level or highten it depending on the content it self. an LG OLED could do this for you and adjust automatically but for us LCD users its a bit of a hassle to use HDR. Its even fake HDR if you put your time into learning about it. Real HDR has a module inside of the TV and it also “kinda” has to be an OLED to really give you that insane contrast and POP! I personally use pretty low settings on my hdr settings and kinda care more about true dark (black levels) that are more correct looking to the eye when watching movies. You will never be without some level of black level raise and still have deep blacks on movies. Almost all movies are dark grey instead of black so you have to force it darker and lose some small insignificant details. Otherwise buy and OLED. Highest Gamma possible Brightness auto adjust mode And low black level and then check out all your favorite movies and look at the dark scenes and adjust so that it looks great in all movies and all scenes.

Ah Thanks! And do you have some recommendation voor SDR picture on my Philips, i used the one in your video and this is already better than i had. Philips HDR is not that great. So the last few times i stick with SDR. And for gaming, the settings in the video are the best?

Optical Cable 😇

Use an Optical Cable, and try to get your pc into a mode were it decodes the all audio into Dolby Digital Format. Or use the multi lane cables that came in the box. I actually haven’t tried running the Z906 on a PC so I am mot completely sure how it would be done. But after plugging it in, make sure to select 5.1 surround on the audio mode in windows settings and it “should” be fine…

This happens to me aswell, it still works tho, its just a messed up prompt 👍 atleast for me it works… First time I connected my sound system I used an audio splitter to get it working, after that I plugged it out and used optical and the audio just worked without it 😂👍

@@EverythingPS5Pro Yeah I just checked and trying to do the TV volume just comes up that TV speakers are turned off in the menu. Must be just a visual bug. I'm on a 50PUS8807.

I'm liking these settings man. Only thing I've changed is the colour temperature to normal instead of warm, and the actual colour setting down to 70 from 100. not a fan of saturation lol. But other than that these are nice! 👌🏻

I do only recommend the setup mentioned in the video, I do not have any other recommendations sadly for audiophile PS5 usage scenarios. I know nothing of Tygr 300r sadly, so my information is very limited. Ohm implies the amount of power that is needed to drive the headphones to there highest potential. With do little power to drive them, there will be less bass and clarity and less volume overall and less flexibility on the Equaliser.

I have ps5, LG C1 and just ordered z906.

On my TV it decodes the audio into surround mode when I use the multichannel bypass mode on my designated HDMI port. If your still not getting surround mode (decode mode) then you gotta find a way to tell your tv to translate it into surround. It might be called HDMI CEC or Multichannel Bypass or both. Also make sure the PS5 is plugged in to the HDMI ARC port.

@@user-ou7iu6kn2y I was talking about the PS5 using HDMI into the TV, the Z906 system runs via Optical into the TV, then you Decode this via Dolby Digital Format on PS5 or Dolby Atmos on streaming services for a Surround mode to get the correct audio information for (true surround)

Sound like a weird issue, but Philips tvs are weird 😂👍 +4 makes the image transitions from bright to dark (darker) whice is better for color reproduction but will make shadows darker. This is the setting I use in SDR, but in HDR I use the brightest option -4

If I couldn't set the B-offset to -15 on the 20 point, it's because it automatically adjusts according to what I set on the G offset If I set -8 on the G then the b offset will also be -8. So if I want -15 on the B, I have to set -15 on the green too .... Is it better to put -8 on both or -15? Or is it better not to touch the offsets at all , sSorry for the tricky questions but your video is the most usefull for me and my tv model.

Ok nervermind. I've just seen your new calibration in recent comments, it looks way better and it solves my problem because the offsets are at the same level on the first two levels. thanks

Newer TVs have HDMI ARC support and so can steal the HDMI Surround mix from the console and transfer it via optical cable to your audio system 😎👍

Just try your best to match the settings, it will be fine enough, 31, 62, 125 is to be maxed out, 250 is to be limited all the way, and then lower 500, 1k, 2k and 4k just like in the video, 8k and 16k on flat

Then the G3 is best for you! Just plug it in to the PS5s USB-C port and use my settings and enjoy.

May I ask do I use the same playstation and tv settings you explained in this video or are there a few different settings to choose with the C3, playstation and Z906? And finally are you enjoying your C3 and if my son connects his X box X to my new tv would there need to be any different settings? I find this all quite confusing.

@@tomgunn6086 I haven’t had enough money to buy a C3 yet so am thinking of getting a C4 77” later in the summer if everything goes well with my eventual workplace. C4 and G4 do tend to drop in prices, the best would be to get a G4 because of the even brighter nits and great cooling solution to prevent aggressive ABL and burn-in. I really do want to push my OLED to the max and I’ll be making videos on best settings for C3 and C4 whenever I get my hands on one 🥰 I have actually no idea if there are any more “special settings on C3” my tv only has the settings shown in the video and that makes it work fine. I want to create a new updated settings video in the future but I have been gaming and working on other life projects in the meanwhile so its been insanely delayed 😂👏 Edit: it should be fine with the settings I have stated in the video, the xbox might need some tweaking ofcourse but PS5 and TV is just for you to copy my settings 😇

Soundblaster G3 for best quality, Controller for worse quality and TV for mid quality. Some gaming monitors have really bad audio processing so kinda depends on whice tv or monitor. I recommend the purchase of a Soundblaste G3 and then run my nice EQ for some neat bass boosting and clarity boost. Then there won’t be any better headphones on the market.

Yeah I am using Z906 system with B&W M1 satellite speakers.. the Z906 uses the standard black & red bare wire connections for speakers.. so you pretty much can upgrade to any speakers you want

@@meat_loves_wasabi what about power management? Aren’t you scared the speakers are gonna try to draw more power then the system is built to drive and break the unit? Or wise versa

@@EverythingPS5Pro Best to check first.. The B&away MT1 recommends amplifier power from 20W-100W The Logitech Z906 satellite speaker is running at 67W per Speaker… so no problem

@@meat_loves_wasabi untill you start to crank up the volume, if it reaches above 67W the built-in EQ and volume levels will collapse and the audio goes into a sorta loud / low volume mode, were crackling is common. Not good for the unit. I’ve checked out some other people trying this on the web, everyone states that it is NOT recommended.

The Soundblaster G3 with my EQ would give you higher detailed audio, wayy higher volume and wayy more bass 😎, ask me here again when you have it and I’ll help you out 💪

Depends on how old your tv is, and if it can just use your tv for proper processing, most actually won’t work, but some do.
