SAN AgroTalk | True Cost Accounting: Food Systems Impact Assessment
Food and agriculture systems have both positive and negative impacts on planetary health and human well-being. True Cost Accounting (TCA) measures and values those environmental, social, health and economic costs and benefits. The Global Alliance for the Future of Food has created a TCA framework that enables users to design a roadmap for action on food systems sustainability.
In this AgroTalk, Amanda Jekums, Program Coordinator at the Global Alliance, explains what TCA is, why it is useful and how it can be applied. She will also present their TCA guidance report and tool, as well as practical examples of how the methodology has been implemented on the ground.

Excellent presentation Dr. Yelitza, congratulations. All the actions summarized in this excellent video. CABI's policy of highlighting these actions in the world is very timely. Personally, in Costa Rica, through the plant clinic we have reached more than 200 producers in one year, and 90 percent of our recommendations are sustainable. Therefore, the impact that Planwise is having in Costa Rica and Latin America is worth highlighting. I would like to reiterate my congratulations.
