My Karting Introduction
Переглядів 702 роки тому
Welcome to the channel and my first video. I will be documenting my entire journey starting as a complete karting novice to competitive karting. Music: Miami URL: icons8.com/music/
I too am trying my hand at karting not a fan of indoor and whilton is just up the road. Got a tkm which I'm wanting to run in retro racer. Did a wet session on Tuesday which was hard 59s on the national circuit never drove in the wet before.
Good video mate, keep it coming
Good to see the videos are back buddy
I did wonder what happened to you. Lol
🤣
Looks cosey! Great tracks at Leicester and Liverpool. If you like outside karting then liverpool has some tarmac style flooring and is also flat out. Have a look at pov.
🤮🤮🤮💩💩💩🤡
From 3:00 to 3:14 that sequence of turn/chicane is an easy flat no lift, just be smooth on the steering you’d carry so much more speed. It’s more like going straight through but diagonally
Thanks bro 💪
haha, bloody hilarious mate! 🤣🤣🤣 The addiction is real, despite having my ribs x-rayed on Wednesday evening I still raced yesterday, and am supposed to be "resting" for a week or two, but I'm so close to booking another session today! Driving under the influence of painkillers is fine right? right? It doesn't say anything about that in the safety video, right? 😅
Great effort for your first indoor race mate! Don't get too down, this sport humbled us all at the beginning I think! Its surprising how quickly it can come together, and its all just experience, get out and do more races, meet more people and learn from the things they tell you. I had a blast at this event & am looking forward to Gav doing more!
I too am a new user. See you out there.
Thanks for the sub man, appreciate it 🙏
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 this is hilarious 👏👏👏
Thanks man 🤣

@@noideakarting no worries pal. Same as u just got into this month and 1000% resonate with this vid 🤣🤣🙌🙌 just got smoked this morning at cov by Kyle Powell tho (40.8) on cold track and contemplating getting into scrabble now
@@LLWarmJaY 🤣🤣
Hey mate don’t know yourself down, it was your first time indoor karting and at the end of the day the best way to improve is experience. Most the people you raced were regulars and had experience karting indoors and so it was always going to be a mighty task to try and keep up with them. As a regular at TS Sheffield, the only way I was able to go from not knowing how to kart at all to being quite quick at the track just boiled down to experience and just keeping on sticking at it until the times would eventually drop. It’s a long process but a fun and rewarding one, and there’ll come a time where you’re able to compete with the top drivers at any track once you’ve got that experience in you, just keep confidence and keep at it!
Thanks man, definitely took things away from this race which I can build on, that's what it's all about I guess! On to the next one!
When are you karting next mate ?
Not sure yet mate, ASAP! Whilton on 21st May but need to get out before that somewhere
I’m going to mansell raceway next Saturday for a bit of practice before rapikart on the 7th may. Not been to mansell before so I think it’s a good idea to have a go !
@@noideakarting what’s happening at whilton on the 21st? Arrive and drive ?
Nice sounds good, am in Cornwall next weekend so can't make it down to see ya. Yeah same again arrive n drive - my last one I think because I wanna get more racing in!
Hi mate I've just booked a race session on 14th May at Teamsport Reading if you are about let me know
Hey man. Don’t knock yourself- first time out in a race you did not put yourself to shame at all. You had balls for doing it. Took me months before I got into my first real race cos I doubted myself ! I’ve been karting for 8 months now. 3rd time I been to Coventry- you’d be very surprised how little time it takes to get up to pace. Coventry is indeed a physical track , it if you haven’t done a lot of karting your body will get used to it trust me I was the same at the beginning-I did a practice session before you guys showed up- I was already shattered before the race happened lol. My locals are cardiff and bristol - if you are down that way Gimmie a shout love to race with you again ! 👍
Thanks bro! I couldn't believe when I saw you went for a session before haha! I'm often between Oxford and Bristol so I'll deffo give you a shout if I'm that way 👊
I race indoor and my main is sheffield so it was my first time at coventry yesterday, its the worst track ive been on in the perspective of work and skill with all the turns. Id recommend warrington or sheffield because there the 2 biggest tracks in teamsport and got alot more straights and their good tracks to get started on in door racing if your interested in getting better .Good work yesterday and great vid
I'll take a look! Nice one man 💪
Trust me dude you'll have races like these a lot where you come out of it thinking "am I even any good" but just stick with it and you'll soon have it clicked. Cov is very demanding, and for your first indoor experience you've certainly put yourself in the deep end! But you'll learn more from actually racing people than just doing arrive and drives, trust me one day it'll all click together and can't wait to see the videos where it does!
Really appreciate it bro 💪 I'm telling myself I was only 3 secs off the winner and it was my first race so I'll take that 😁
Don't be hard on yourself mate . That is indeed a very physical circuit! High standard of drivers who had a lot of laps under their belt at that circuit . It's also one that favours light drivers Good to meet you and chat anyway
Cheers Paul great to meet you, hopefully see you again at one of these again in near future.
@@noideakarting Ancaster and PFI circuits are close to me if you ever go there give me a shout
Marshaling is so so difficult, the concentration required feels like it’s more than racing. Loving the videos buddy keep them going
Sitting in a little box all day is definitely challenging. Our club is all volunteer, so eventually you end up having to do it. It's all part of racing.
Fantastic video ! Really interesting, I had no idea also of what marshaling involved, a long day to focus, a big responsibility! Admiration for all Marshals 👍
Thanks for sharing this! Respect to all Marshall’s, great video. Long day tho, enjoy your Chinese.
So cute!! Love your videos keep sharing ! 😀
