When the Black Crowes first and second albums came out I thought they had so much Stones influence. I'm a Stones fanatic and wish there were more Black Crowes type bands

You know at first glance that's a stupid comment. I mean saying "no one." But after giving it some thought, I think you're right. I can't think of one example. The best bands are so far above everyone else because of the ARRANGEMENT of the instruments- the way they complement each other. No one does this better than the Stones. Nonetheless, I love this cover! Even if it's missing the texture of Keith Richards' guitar.

There's no contemporary band nowadays that plays this song better than the Black Crowes . Listen to recent Rolling Stones concerts And hear what i mean.. The Black crowes guitar sound is more 70ties..

Wyman and Richards both say the song was performed in early shows of the 1971 tour but no recordings or even setlists of these shows exist.The first tour it was definitely played was 2002-2003 where i agree that the versions were weak due mainly to Richards having far too clean a guitar sound ,meaning the opening section had no punch whatsoever.The Crowes version is very good btw
