The United States has tried to democratize the world and often failed, haime... Behringer tried to democratize the world of electronic music and I think it succeeded! I would never have purchased a Synth of this kind if the B2600 hadn't been released. I had Blue, now I have Grey. Fantastic experience at fifty years old...

Lol, yes, you don't know the problems that the original ARP2600 that I have had since 1986 causes me. The faders are really crooked, the channels are covered in dust and grease from the environment, some connections are voltage faults, my friend, welcome to the world of defective ARPs. I suppose that the clone was also made with the same quality of construction, where the only good thing about my ARP 2600 is the case and the keyboard, but even so, the keyboard also has its keys that are unbalanced because of the springs that have loosened over the years. Anyway, I always had this one to have a modular minimoog, I always dreamed of that and ARP made it a reality. I now have the B2600 as an upgrade to the original, I've had it for 2 years and the only thing that broke was a fader lamp, I was able to fix it for very little money and I put really comfortable and round knobs on the faders so that I wouldn't prick my fingertips. It now looks like my original, the sound is really amazing and I keep the 2600 in a hard case on a 19-inch mixer. Thanks for sharing the video. 😅👍

hey bro, have you ever thought about trying out Synclavier digital's new sampler/generator REGEN? i got that lately and i'm realising it shouldnt have been marketed like a synth, i think this thing is more made for beatmakers, the sound design and sampling engines are tremendous, the workflow is very mpc'ish but even more intuitive because of all the switches per function links. REGEN is what old mpc users regret bro really, it doesnt have the sequencer and controls nore multi outs, but all these can be conected via m,idi or 4 usb slots (!), but appart from that it's closer to what a modern version of an mpc 4000 would of been with it's own synthesis engines and this crasy sampler and "hybrid" function with the "resythesis" mode. it has possibilitys to use any kind of synthesis within the engines. and even if it has high res regarding audio specs, it has that very funky/industrial breakbeat edge to it (if you know the film "the night before" with funkadelik in it, well the soundtrack is all synclavier), there's something about that synclavier computing that give's a very urbanised outerspace edge to it's sound, appart from this i really dont see it at as reedition of an old thing, it's an evolution and it's really something new, bringing things that imo beatmakers will go crazy about. i've had a tchat with someone from synclavier on theyr're facebook witch is not that populated, i was answered that they agree that probably REGEN should of been more marketed towards the beatmakers community rather than the synth nerds that are a lot after straight forward knob stuff, when all in regen stinks beatmaking and heavy digital sound design (knowing your tastes for both i'm pretty shure you'de really go mad in love with REGEN BRO, the way things interacts gives it that "wearhouse breakz" ambiance type of sound, if that kinda term means anything to you lol), so maybe if a youtuber like you goes and ask to have one lended by synclavier digital for a few weeks in exchange for heavy demo, you might be able to get it. i suggested boloda tbh, he's succesfull and has a following, but when i see your inside, with sound design tools for an mpc school beatmaker, i'm thinkling this unit is made for you. i'm talking about it everywhere these days because i'm falling in love with it, and i think the beatmakers and black/urban/funky/etc (lol) music producers in general should know more about this because we eed thos guys to be able to keep on doing this kind of units. serious man, give it a thought. And on a vesa stand hanging in mid air it loks like a spaceships cookpit! so cool. Qwantum was in my vues aswell but as a producer/beatmaker rather than a synth freak, i'm really glad i went for regen, if you are looking for something really special on witch you can spend years on, bro regen is defo something you should consider, i'm making a drum machine with it these days (multi outs with a soundcard like for a computer in usb, has 4 slots for controlers...), i'm crazy about it allready and i havnt even scratched the surface, i barely went in the sampling and hibrid egines yet, had it for 4 months. and just to say there are no really revelant demos online yet,. honest. i wonder what a guy l;ike squarepusher would of done wityh one of these...Greetings from France...

Nice!!!! Many of those keyboards I didn't even know you had, although I did know you've always had the Moog Grandmother. I used to own a Kawai K5000 S just like yours. It was a nice and very different type of synth "additive" as you already mentioned. However, after having it for a year and a half or so, I decided it wasn't for me and sold it with no regrets. However, the sound is different, so that might be the advantage of owning one. Also, I admire that Ensoniq ASR X Pro. I was absolutely shocked to see that on the table. Wow!!!!! I know it's still a work in progress, but it looks like it is coming together nicely already. Sweet setup!!!

Respectfully, Polly Popo was using the MPC for years before he “discovered” that the modern MPC didn’t sound good to him. That’s illogical. I had to check out on him. Seems like he doesn’t know his own mind. As far as Roger Linn, that man does know his own mind and speaks it. I assume that something happened in the background and maybe they came to an agreement. They sent him a machine and he gave his honest opinion. He likely wasn’t compelled to say positive things about it. Good to see his inputs. I think he’s not getting back into the ring with Akai. It’s a case of what you saw is all you’re getting. His perspectives. As far as how the MPC sounds, it has a higher bit order converters than the vintage units, thus doesn’t sound bit crushed like the vintage units do.
