Why a podcast on the History of beer? Because what can be more telling than a tradition that has brewed since the dawn of civilization? Alcohol is both at the center and at the extremes of the human experience. Throughout history, alcohol has been food, drink, ecstasy, currency, comfort, political capital, and ritual offering. There were times when getting hammered made you God, and times when grabbing a bad batch gave you terminal diarrhea. Love it or hate it, beer is all around. Our relationship with it is as complex as our relationship with each other. Whereas clans of ancient times bonded together through extreme binge drinking competitions, tribes of the digital world still routinely have one pint too many and get into all sorts of trouble. In this podcast, we use beer as a staging ground to explore the extremes of the human experience in an attempt to better understand what we collectively think and feel. Grab a pint and chillax, we are here to make your day hoppier.

And then it just cause more harm, all because Women only think emotionally and never logically.
Dolphins get a high from puffer fish. They dont kill them just make them release poison.
That's another interesting fact indeed!

If you gave me a baseball on the Windsor side of the Detroit River and told me to throw it as far as I could until I reach Detroit.... it would probably take about 5-6 throws. We are VERY close to one another.

I’m not smart enough for this obviously
My great-uncle used to drive his truck to the Stroh’s brewery every Saturday to get the free grain from the vats for his cows. The cows would wait by the fence until they heard his truck returning and get all excited and mōō! They would sop up the grain then bump into each other and have a grand ole time, for a cow. Eventually, the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) put an end to it which I thought was the real cruelty. Taking away the high point of beef cattle’s mundane existence is as bad as taking away a sailor’s rum ration! (I’m talking to you, US Navy!)
did he actually answer the question later in the interview?
🙏 'promo sm'
It is really nice knowing .
Lo dudo mucho
Alcohol certainly intensifies certain psychedelics like psilocybin mushrooms but be careful, too much alcohol and shrooms can cause some incredibly unpredictable trips and emotional reactions from my experience and seeing others try that. The alcohol seems to intensify things like trauma release (more intense tears, etc) on shrooms with a much more unpredictable emotionally exaggerated mindset compared to a say very meditated, breathworked, recently exercised and calmed mindset and setting taking just the shrooms. Maybe for extreme PTSD, there could be a theraputic application of a specific amount of alcohol and psilocybin in a controlled safe setting with professional support - the alcohol lowering heavily trauma walled inhibitions towards the experience. Then again, plenty of healthier ways to lower inhibitions similar to a drunken level for the trip such as 10 rounds of Wim Hof breathing.
Very interesting, hope you'll get more views :)
