Tdk will do exactly what the other top guys have done, Cripps, harry and charlie, Weiters etc, they have all taken less to keep the core group together, teams like Saints,Cats etc will throw huge coin but he'll take less spread out over longer to stay is my gut feel. From a Blues fan

I think it's reasonable to suggest that TDK is going to receive some huge offers from other clubs and unless the Blues "offload" some of their list they are going to find it very difficult to fit him into their salary cap. For example, I have no doubt that Dan Houston would be a Blue if it wasn't for that cap. Collingwood are going to have some high salary retirements at the end of this year and could well have the ability to pay him a substantial amount. Obviously there are others as well. My guess is that this year will be TDK's last as a Blue.

The big four players you mentioned made a pact and allowed their contracts to be renegoiated with the club , all took a cut including Crippa to help keep the playing group stay together, they believe this is their time. With TDK, if it's only about the money he'll go, as you say there's clubs that could offer more than the baggers can offer but I don't believe its about that, his been with these boys from the start with their example to follow. Lets face it ven staying he isn't going to be short of a dollar.

Sportsmanship is an underrated component to the Brownlow. Its Best & Fairest. I think your method focuses too much on the best not enough on the fairest. Umpires have the best judge of the fairest cause they are the ones dealing with enraged players in the heat of the moment week in and week out. The Bont was completely snubbed this year although had a real ability to take the game by the scruff of the neck and it makes me question how he is viewed by some umpires. I really think we should celebrate character just as much as talent and I really struggle to think of winner who doesnt have an inspirational character.
