Salam! In farsi, in the consonants + ا, the distinction of vowel sounds(aa, o, a) is confusing. 1. را (raa)is "r+aa(â)". It is the long vowel pronunciation of "a", but to me the vowel sounds closer to "o" pronunciation. 2. ا sound is often heard as an "o" sound in these cases, for example, naya(نیا) sound like "nayo", and داروخانه (daruhane) --> doruhane, واکسن (vaksan) ---> voksan, مادر (madar) ---> modar, دارم (daram) ---> doram. 3. و also sounds sometimes "u", sometimes "o". I may have heard wrong. This may be difficult to explain in writing. You could make a pronunciation explanation video anytime later. 😄
