We Have Found The One Moses Wrote About In The Law! (John 1:29-51)

In John 1:45 Philip exclaimed to Nathaniel, “We have found the one Moses wrote about in the law!" What an incredible statement! In this teaching I’d like to suggest that this Philip’s declaration, along with other events in John 1:29-51, has an important discipleship principle to teach us. I think that now more than ever, discipleship needs to take center stage in our churches. If you’re a chur...

I am so bad to be honest because : I expect God Jesus to reveal Himself to me in a supernatural way and then when I receive it, I say maybe it was just my imagination or maybe I have been deceived by a false Jesus I pray for Jesus to heal me from demonic oppression if it is God's will and I receive it for only one night and day and I say maybe this healing came from the devil and this is a deception. I pray for God Jesus to reveal His presence to me outside of me and I feel a cool breeze and think what if I am being deceived again. I complain often about how unfair my life is, even though Jesus says you won't get peace, comfort or security or rest in this world. I love people of the world and things it and believe I will be fully free by conquering the battle of another person trying to be ruler and master over my life, instead of surrendering it all to Jesus and praying to Him for guidance. I don't hear Jesus in a subtle small voice. I saw a rainbow and rain come down from the sky very randomly, after singing christian worship song to Jesus and God outside of my house and in town. I have felt great joy and said maybe it is just my own human emotion. I have felt power and I thought maybe that comes from the evil one. I feel like I am acting like doubting Thomas, Peter who denied Jesus, the Israle-lites and Paul whom Jesus said would suffer for Jesus unto death. I have these problems because of Satan Lucifer the counterfit and because of warnings of false Christs in the world. I really am sick of being lied to and deceived. Thanks very much for your attention. God bless you!

I'm curious, why do you say there's nothing wrong with corporate prayer? I know Matt 6:6 is often explained away by saying it's talking about our heart's intentions, but it seems to me Jesus was clearly criticizing the common practices of the times and presenting a radically new and correct way to pray: privately. I think Matt 6:6 is pretty explicit on this. Once you've shut the door then pray to God who is in secret and he will reward you openly. It seems to be about method, not intention. And here is evidence of Jesus praying as he explained to do. Other verses that seem to suggest prayer was done collectively does not explicitly say that anyone was praying out loud. Perhaps they all prayed silently, or perhaps it was just an overwhelmingly common practice of the times and the Bible offered a descriptive account but not any prescriptive judgements in those cases.

As a Thomas, myself, I believe Jesus nicknamed Thomas “the twin” based on his fickle, contradictory nature. He was divided in his mind, one mind of faith (the spirit), and one mind of flesh. He was literally (figuratively) 2 different people. Having an evil twin, if you will. It something that all Christians have, but Thomas particularly stood out with his duality in this way. Therefore, the nickname. His name was Judas Thomas, btw, which I also find interesting. Judas meaning Jewish, and the Jewish people also doubted Jesus and also God in the Old Testament, despite having seen miracle after miracle. And yet, God kept His covenant with them, regardless. Same with Jesus with Thomas.

Hebrew name for Tomas is twin. Probably why he wanted to not only see Jesus but put his finger in nail hole and his side also. Some say he looked like Jesus I don't think anything to it why Jesus inverted the order. Possibly to remove his doubt immediately

Does isaiah 9 v 6 say Jesus is mighty God?? Bible scholars say corruptions crept into the hebrew text between the 6th and 7th centuries . But the SEPTUAGINT that Jesus and the apostles quoted from was translated by Jewish scholars around 300-200 BC, and came from the most ancient and reliable manuscripts available . Please note what the septuagint says and what it does not say. " for a child is born to us, and a Son is given to us, whose government is upon his shoulders; and his name is called the messenger of great council; for I will bring peace upon the princes, and health to him ". If Jesus is the Almighty God( himself), then how can he....give life to himself? " for as the Father has life in himself; so has he goven to the Son to have life in himself". John 5 v 26. Have his own God? " i ascend to my Father and your Father, and my God and your God". John 20 v 17. Give to himself what he already has? " the Father loves the Son, and has given all things into his hand". John 3 v 35. Jesus inherited his Fathers name, character and devine nature in the same way a human son inherits the human nature and name of his parents. So Jesus is God because he is the SON of God. But he is not "a" god or " the" God. He is the Son of God!! Much weight is put on this text, and a half dozen others to provide for Romes false trinitas, but is it there, is it biblically based, i would say most definitely Not!! 1 cor 8 v 6

FYI: Christians use Isaiah 9:6 to prove that the holy messiah was/is divine BUT they do so by using dishonest translations of the original Hebrew.. In Christian bibles the verse is translated as: For a child shall be born to us, a son shall be given to us; and the government shall rest on his shoulders; and his name will be called Wonderful counselor, mighty God, eternal father, Prince of Peace. This is a dishonest translation of the original Hebrew. All the verbs in this passage have been changed from the perfect tense to the future tense. Every other occurrence of these same verbs in these same forms in the Christian Bible are translated in the perfect tense. This is but one instance where dishonest translations of the Hebrew bible have been done to correspond to make people belive that these passages are saying something they are not. There are many more such examples: Psalm 2:12 (kiss the son); Psalm 22:16 (pierced my hand and my feet); Isaiah 7:14 (a virgin shall be with child); Zechariah 8:23 ( you, singular vs, you plural); Micah 9:2 (Kumei Olum) etc…

This is how I read the word, with so much curiosity. Asking questions. Unfortunately, it seems like many do not so when asked questions they just want to quote bible scripture for a quick fix answer. I think you are correct many people are not balanced, kingdom and righteousness. People need to go pass the surface and dive deeper.

Great seeing you here, Ps Mario. I love the idea of being curious toward the Bible. Many times we repeat what we have heard all our lives. Another scripture the Lord has me focusing on is, Ps 37:4 "Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give...". I've discovered that the Lord will place His desires for us in our heart as opposed to giving us whatever sappy desire we may currently have. New sub!
