Thanks Natalie it is natural as you say to push uncomfortable feelings and emotions away. We ebb & flow with the tides and all feelings & emotions are fleeting however we label them. I agree all can be welcomed Go gently 🙏

How can I 'get out' of people pleasing? I have always done this because I have a limiting belief that if I don't, and if I display my true character, go after what I want, and behave with confidence and looking after #1, that EVERYONE will be offended, and berate me or cause me harm. There's also the feeling of guilt for being who I SHOULD be, which I see as offensive to others, and even may cause being bullied and even physically assaulted. :( What to do?
Awareness of the patterns helps to create a wider perspective, so we're no longer completely identified with them. Gentle enquiry also looks at the beliefs underpinning the strong emotional response, so that we might feel safe to feel any discomfort (in a supported space).
I like this but I struggle with it daily. That somehow we can heal from this when there are actual physiological complications going on. Ive dealt with vertigo, panic attacks, IBS and major muscle pain, nerve pain and spams and have biomarkers indicating blood hypercoagulation. Doesnt seem that any amount of limbic system calming I could do is going to stop blood coagulation.
Totally appreciate that the physiological response is complex. It may not eradicate symptoms but returning to the space within is extremely restorative when there is tension & constriction in the body. It also takes us out of the mode of constantly resisting our experience.

Resonates with me, I tend to think when I have 'me' time I must engage and do one of my hobbies. I get more energy and rejuvenation from sitting and idling my mind.
