    The Hall Scott was the 190 HP at 1900 RPM and was 779 CI with a lot of torque had two spark plugs per cylinder to burn a lot of gas and yes 3 or 4 MPG

    Whoever thought of putting 2100 outside in a dry climate for 7 years should of thought of a better idea like put it in storage where it still be in good condition since I'm pretty sure that's why the restoration is still going on as of 2019 since the original goal for its restoration was to have it complete in 2 years but it's been almost 4 years since first started

    Kenworth built busses into the 1950's. The roof design reappeared in 1976 as the Kenworth Aerodyne.

    as gunships, the hawks were 1/2 the size of the eagles, but twice as fast, more agile and FAR more heavily-armed. Not only did they have the particle cannon mounted at the ventral underside of the pilot module, they had those pontoon-like EFAMS-mounts just behind the dart section whuch carried what looks like. 2.75 mm rocket pods

    what kind of a diesel engine is called a scott hall? what the hell is scott hall any ways or whatever you said it is?

    • @hyenamorgan3705
      @hyenamorgan3705 6 років тому

      Hall Scott made the most powerful truck engines of the time, this one was original gas, and reason why Diesels won out in the end, sure it had more power, but worse MPG too, and during the war time crunch was not a good thing. look up the Pankcake Scott Hall Engine on youtube, or the inline six DOHC.

    I hope restoration is going well on that one. I've been a fan of "Deck and a half" coaches since I was 3 years old, and saw a Greyhound (PD4501) roll past the car. Whether it's a KW, Beck, GM, ACF, Foden, Flxible, or whatever else may be out there (Buffalos not included), I've always said that I'll one day own one. KW had a similar coach to the one featured, except it was a conventional. Do you know of any place to find history on that?

    I have that same exact coleco thing... Chrismas present when I was probably 12 or 13 years old. These were the first computerized game ever just before the "timex sinclair" PC or the commodore Vic 20 (that I have too, with the tape recorder...). Those years were very exciting compared to present time. Though to believe I know...

      Tinsby ..Sorry i did not use the right terminology " for calling a Locomotive attached to a tender and a aux car a TRAIN" Odd you would give me a thumbs down for such a minor thing thou . I just hope to see her burning coal again. If you make vid on the 2100, i promise not to thumbs down you're video. But hey, i'm nice like that ;)

      Thanks!! Some one don't like it i guess, who could thumbs down such a purdy train? ;) BTW it should return hopefully to the rails...This train is the Famous Reading T1 super power. It had a lot of work done too it the wrong way, but it is far from scrap and did pull cars around up till the big screw up.

    much is right on this video but there are somethings said that are incorrect about the locomotive.

    • @hyenamorgan3705
      @hyenamorgan3705 9 років тому

      This was not a local Locomotive " East coast" When i made this video i knew very little about this Reading Locomotive " I'm more a Northern Pacific/BN/UP/GN. kinda guy..My gramps use to work for NP...I know quite a bit about this Super Power T-1 locomotive now, been in contact with some of the original Reading T1 Engineers. The oil conversion was a total screw up .oil unit was way to small, hardly get enough steam to pull herself, she was rarely seen without a diesel helper after this conversion..Oil convert is not a bad idea, but from what i was told they was warned the wooten firebox was too big for a small single burner, so she ended up sucking some cold air "along with hot"i was told and screwing up the firebox and only able to get enough steam to pull herself...The paint job is all wrong, even the front light "that is broke" is the wrong one.

    • @barronzm
      @barronzm 9 років тому

      I have heard what you said before. Unfortunately most of it is true. 2100 needs a full rebuild.

    • @Toledo1940
      @Toledo1940 9 років тому

      barronzm I agree. Rust on the rods and cross-heads is the first clue. The inside of the cab shows that the engine (not train) has been incompetently maintained. I just hope that the people in Cleveland know what they are doing! After this engine was restored at Hagerstown, MD in the late 1980s she was in excellent condition, both esthetically and mechanically.

    • @hyenamorgan3705
      @hyenamorgan3705 9 років тому

      There is alot of controversy around this train..Good and bad...Some say she was not converted right..Some argu nothing wrong with her...A lot not happy with the change of colors..She was originally a Reading Railroad train. They had big plans for this train in washington state that fell threw " maybe lack of money or bad converstion" Only good thing she is being stored on the dry side of washington state...It will be a long time before she is too far gone to fix again...Sorry for my late responce..youtube never told me i had a message ;)..lol
