Interdisciplinary creative project by Wandler-Duo & Antonia Kolujartseva & Victoria Samoilenko based on music from Prokofiev's ballet "Cinderella".

The aim of the project is the artistical combination of music, dance and cinematography.
Music from Prokofiev's ballet "Cinderella" is filled with rapidly changing characters and theatricality. The dance reveals the gentle image of Cinderella, hidden at first under a mask, and then transforming into her true nature - active, bold, free. At the moment of the descending violin passage, Cinderella puts on the mask again, returning to her introverted world, and gradually leaves the ball. In the surrealism of the video, there are images of the musicians caught in the reflection, as well as their instruments.

Awesome performance! Being a huge Piazzolla fan, I'm embarrassed to say that I have not heard this piece until now! What beautiful music! However, is it me or does the piano sound tuned a bit low on certain registers? It sounded like the violin was quite spot on, but the piano sounded a bit low! I know that there has a centuries-long debate on what constitute as 'well-tempered' scales, but the piano tuner should have worked with the violinist a bit more! ------------------------------------------------------- Upon hearing the video several times, I really think that the music would be 10X more beautiful if the piano tuner has done his job! Several keys were low by at least 1/16 note off!!! Piazzolla uses the chromatic scales so much that tonal synch is so important! Listen to him playing his bandoneon, and you will get a sense of how incredible he was on controlling the microtones. If you can't get the microtones right, you are not playing Piazzolla right.
