I loved it when I visited. If you’re an outdoorsy type this is the perfect vibe for you. Also I made an itinerary as well. I went in the spring so I went horseback riding, zip lining, and checked out the Luray caverns. I’ll be going in again in the next few months. It’s a lot of stuff to do in the area just have to research. I’m also adding to my list is wine tasting and visiting the zoo in the area as well.☺️
I won’t say this is overrated and I am going there for the second time tomorrow as of writing this. The amenities are good and the peace and quiet was very enjoyable.
Nice video! I just got back from Shenandoah today. For those who aren't that familiar with the fire starting process, they have the simple firestarting tips on that printout paper that they have on the table when you first check into your cabin.
I hate how you cant get a human being to answer if you have any issues. Ive been charged 4 seperate times totalling $1000 for a 3 day sunday to wednesday trip. I just get emails and not quickly. I mean I hope it is a random since I booked it on a Friday afternnoon and I messed up booking 2 days and not 3 days at first but never got the package discount. I have a feeling Im going to have to call the credit card company over this shit. I know its a tiny trailer cabin and thats all I expect, but the customer service needs to be revamped.
You have such a negative outlook on everything that you mentioned.. your tone is full of complaints any and everything .. I would have expected you to not to have enjoyed yourself !!!
Love your video and I love your dog. You all tasting the wine was funny and I totally get what you were saying. This was really helpful, thank you so much!
Girl you’re WILDIN! It is NOT a waste of money. I’ve been multiple times by myself and also with company & always had a great time. If you’re not outdoorsy ppl then say that.
It was one of the most memorable experiences for my wife and I. Shortly after a few days of no phones and getting to know each other I decided to propose. Disconnect is the key.
I've been wondering about this. Glad you enjoyed it. The title had me confused, haha. Anyway, looks like a really nice experience to try for some quiet time in a nature (and some wine!)
This is what happens when you try to book something for content. How do you book an off grid tiny cabin in the woods and complain? The one near me is $117 a night which is less than a 3 star hotel. This review was from a person who booked too take nice photos and barely grasped the experience.
It sometimes is to quite for some , It's an acquired taste. some don't like silence lack of gunfire or lack of people on the corner hanging out screaming I'm getting robbed , it's not for everyone !
How far was the park from the getaway house? That seemed like a smart move to go & break up the day & fully maximize your trip. Great video thank you for this!!!
Pretty good video but I just don’t understand why so many UA-camrs put Clickbait titles on their video. This is a good example of an extreme video title bet you watch it and at the end she has three cons that are all minor things one of them was that they didn’t know how to start the fire correctly and that it’s too expensive. Well you get what you pay for. I’m sure there was a motel6 down the road for $79, if this place was $200 well it’s 10 times better than a haunted motel six room so you pay The price if you want to go camping in comfort. Again I think it’s a great video but I think your title really cheapens it, especially it’s not needed to use ALL CAPS and lots of Exclamation points. I know why of the UA-camrs do this: because they want to get views views bring clicks clicks bring subscribers and that sells advertising. I wish everyone would have a disclaimer at the beginning of the video for example “this is our commercial project we make a living partly from our videos. Please keep that in mind as you watch this this is really an infomercial it is not just a friendly homemade vacation video. We are doing business here if you don’t wanna watch this then go to another video on someone else’s channel“. Of course people aren’t going to give that kind of disclaimer, they need the advertising revenue. I think two years from now everyone’s gonna be laughing about the whole UA-cam monetizing thing. Everyone is flooding their own market, it happened to Airbnb it’s happening to the luxury campgrounds, it’s happening to all kinds of regions in the country. There is far too big a population now of hipster campers that want to get out and crowd the campgrounds. Good luck getting a tent site in Yosemite these days. In the old days you could simply walk into the campground with your backpack on get a tent site and camp now we have an over population. Perhaps some people should stop multiplying we don’t need more and more and more population on this little planet, the natural resources are strained
I live right across the curve from this place, we have fresh eggs, fire starters, wood and can make fresh bread. Signs will be going up this spring! We can also point you to some really nice local places like Gillette’s castle where the original Sherlock Holmes lived, the river ferry, GoodSpeed Opera house and we have some real quality restaurants. Give it another try!

You are crazy. First of all, who gets to a campground after dark? You are asking for trouble. That is not a Rosé!!! Rosé is ‘rose colored!!! (pink). And you are watching TV? You could have done that at home!!!
Getaway House. They have fully stocked tiny cabins all over the country for $99-$129 a night…at least those are the prices where I live. But the prices vary depending on what time of year you go.
@@thicks849 it depends. I was just at a getaway cabin and they only had TV’s in the common spaces, no TV’s in bedrooms. So it all depends on your AirBnb host
@Book Girl Hey love, I was definitely at a getaway cabin, JUST like the one seen in this video. I know what I’m talking about, but thank you for your input.
What was the price?

The most boring cabin video I’ve EVER seen
You have to make it fun. You can't just go there and think it's automatically fun.

Your dog was supposed to be on a leash at all times while on the property.
Really this title and video 😩👎🏾
My dog is like my kid. He’s welcome to sleep or sit anywhere he wants he’s always clean just like my kids.
Lived there my whole life and i completely agree

Im a little nervous because im going there alone. Is the trail easy to follow and get back? I dont wanna get lost. Is it easy to find the cabin?

I believe the park itself was no more than 25 minutes. To get to the trail was a bit longer.
I stayed there solo last year and love the place. Yes and y’all need to learn how to start the fire.
Find God- experience.
I love your video and thanks for sharing. Can you tell me the name of the national park you visit? I am about to head that way this weekend.
Shenandoah Park
I really wish folks would put their dogs on leashes when they are walking in public areas. It's extremely disrespectful.
I was thinking to myself how is it overrated? lol you make it what it is not the other way around.
Where is this located mam?
Your dog sees a Sasquatch!!!!
So does wifi work? Hot spot?
I LOVE the getaway !
