Disseminate Our Strength
Australia
Приєднався 18 лют 2013
Good day, fellow wanderers. I'm just an ordinary guy who loves to wander and explore new places. It was the year 2007 when I started to ride my bicycle from work and hit the local trails during weekends. As a recreational rider and commuter, I realized that it is still not enough to discover the beauty of nature.

Bikepacking Tasmania, Australia: Memories
Memories is a documentation of my journey (unfinished route) through Central and Southern #tassie with a series of short video clips, capturing my memories along the way. Using simple yet meaningful words, I assembled and categorized short segments of my reflections from my bicycle travels.
As time goes on, we realize just how amazing life can be. We are taught forgiveness, respecting others' opinions, and appreciation for even the smallest aspects of life. Discovering and acquiring new knowledge about the world also gives certain individuals a sense of fulfillment. For some, exploring calm and untamed places makes them happy and deepens their connection to the natural world.
Reflect on our experiences, learn without hesitation, and appreciate our wonderful life.
Disseminate Our Strength acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lutruwita (Tasmania) on which we live, learn, and work, the palawa (Tasmanian Aboriginal) peoples, and recognizes their continuing connection to land, water, and community. We would also like to pay our respects to the Elders past, present, and emerging.

As the fog fades off on the road and the sun's rays suddenly appear, I swiftly grab my camera to take this resurrection shot. After crossing this early mist, I felt again this unexplainable aroma that came from the bush. This reminds me of the dense green forest of the South, the deserted forests of the highlands during the winter season, and the living forests of the West. The live suspension ...

During the first week of spring, Tasmania was hit by an enormous amount of snowfall. That time, my things are already packed and ready to explore a few places in Central Tasmania. Pushing my loaded pushbike through powdery snow makes me feel weak and realized the true power of Mother Nature. But after a day of dragging, I managed to escape the perfectly notorious track. The rolling hills going ...

If you want to experience Mother Nature try to visit Southern Tasmania. The scenic roads of Huon and Derwent Valley are absolutely amazing as you can mark the towering summits of nearby mountains while ascending moderately. For me, trekking the South Coast track is truly unforgettable as I almost stepped on a venomous friend, the tiger snake. The used track is a bit challenging, but in the end,...

It was still frosty when I arrived at Lithgow, State Mine Heritage Park. An absolutely fascinating industrial site that can be explored by bicycle during the weekend. Cruising Newnes State Forest is worth seeing as different species of pines and eucalyptus trees grow here. When I got my one-month day off, I merely decided to explore the East and Central parts of Australia. Tracking down some of the backroads of New South Wales, Australia was not an easy task because of the prevailing wind, hilly terrain, and mixed roads. Passing through the historical West Riverina region was a bit challenging because of the cross and headwind assassin, heat exterminator, and (pr...

As the harsh wind strongly blew in the steer cliffs of Gross Valley in Blue Mountain National Park, the open forest trail of Burramoko let me observe the kangaroos roaming around the overgrown bush. Autumn is a great way to explore a few things in and around Sydney. The coastal area of the state capital offers heaps of tracks, so I decided to seek another remarkable #adventure , a walking, "Micro Adventure" (A. Humphreys). Just stumbled on your videos, great work! Love the old rigid mountain bike too, shows you don’t need the newest kit to enjoy nature, just the willingness… inspirational🎉
Yes indeed, thanks heaps for watching. Have a great day 😀.
Very nice and I felt I was riding with you .
Hi there, thanks heaps! Have a good one.
Just found your channel and looks like some amazing rides through Tasmania. Did you record the route you took on this trip?
Yeah it was. Sorry mate, I haven't recorded my trip, I'm just using my phone following the bookmarks that I saved through mapmyride app. By the way, it took me 3 trips on this video and just compiled it. Any interesting part of the video that you're keen to cycle? I can make you a route if I'm free. Cheers man! 😀
@@disseminateourstrength9268 Thanks. I was just generally curious as to the roads you chose to get around. I liked the look of all the back roads without any car traffic on them. And interested in any good through routes (or did you do circuits if this is a combination of multiple trips?).
Yup 3 loops on this trip. As much as possible, I'm trying to avoid those car traffic (or with presence of car/s) while filming. As most of the roads are linked to the main road, I need to cycle the paved one first before I get to the gravel/trail one. Also, I only record my video clips mostly on quiet roads (or with a great landscape scenery).😀
2:14🥲
Cheers man, I was trying to make a transition between death/road kill from creation/domination of animal life (a common thing here in down under). Have a good one mate! 😀

Nice trip. Which is the nearest city to the snow. How long does the snow usually stay?
Cheers, man! Hobart will be nearest, it depends how cold it will be on the mountain maybe a few days during winter season. To be honest, it is hard to predict how snow would last. Tassie's is a place where weird weather happens. Have a good one!
Thank you for the reply and keep riding 👍
how many days for the whole ride?
Just a sub240 mate, thanks for watching. Have a good one!

Cheers, mate! Have a good one.
Great vid. What's your bike set up?
Thanks, mate. It's a 2016 Giant Toughroad SLR2 frame (pretty tough), I changed the cockpit and drivetrain after a year of testing. Unlucky me, rig was stolen at work together with the frame bag 2 years ago. Over all performance 8/10. Have a good one!
@@disseminateourstrength9268 oof devastating. Which areas would you recommend as must-ride for a 3day long wkend ride in Tasmania, out of Hobart? This has inspired me to go soon, esp w cheap flights. Great to see more pinoys bikepacking too!
@@stockholm9436 there are heaps of gravel roads/trails and tracks in the region, even if you are close within the capital. I suggest, explore the trail which is closest to the city. I do have a 2-3 days trail BACKYARD loop within Greater Hobart and a glimpse of Huon Valley. I link all the trails which I already ridden in the past and made a loop out of it. Trail consist of trail, track, quiet country roads, single track, gravel, cycleway and secondary roads. It is airport to airport loop (for tourist who wants to cycle close to Hobart) 301 kms with 6741 ascent.
@@stockholm9436 if you're happy to do the loop here's the link ridewithgps.com/routes/35463683 If the distance is to great, you can start at km 72 and finish off at km 255 (183 kms), you can camp at Huon bush retreat (need to book camping) at km 90. If you are completing the route, you can take the Clarence Foreshore trail (from km 260 to km 266) and just avoid the current street routes which i made. Cheers!
@@disseminateourstrength9268 awesome cheers. I'm happy to go further away from Hobart too if it's worth it. What were your highlights/favourites? Best view? Good rivers or coast?
Awesome shots 👍👍
Cheers, man!
