3:06 தமிழ் திரைப்பட பாடல்கள் ஒரு பார்முக்குள் வர தடுமாறிக் கொண்டிருந்த நேரம் இந்த 1945 -50. ஜி. ராமநாதன், பாகவதர் காலத்திலிருந்து கர்நாடக ராகத்தின் அடிப்படையில் பாடல்களை வழங் 1:55 கி வந்தார். பெரும்பாலான இசையமைப்பாளர்கள் ஹிந்தி ட்யூனை காப்பி அடித்து இசையமைத்து வந்தார்கள் சி ஆர் சுப்ப ராமன் மெல்லிசை பாணியில் குறிப்பிடத்தக்க இசையை வழங்கி வந்தார். 1950 க்கு மேல்தான் திரை இசைக்கு ஜி ராமநாதன் ஒரு வடிவினை தந்தார். கர்நாடக ராகத்தை எளிமைப்படுத்தி திரைக்கு ஏற்றவாறு தமிழ் பாடல்களை உருவாக்கும் ஒரு முறை தான் அது. அதில் அவர் வெற்றியும் கண்டார். இதைத்தொடர்ந்து இந்தப் பாணியை பின்பற்றி பல இசையமைப்பாளர்கள் பாடல்களை உருவாக்கினார்கள். இவ்வாறு ஹிந்தி டியூன் சிறையிலிருந்து தமிழ் பாடல்கள் விடுதலை பெற்றன. இந்த காலகட்டத்தில் தெலுங்கு இசையமைப்பாளர்களும் சில மென்மையான கர்நாடக ராகங்களில் பல தமிழ் தெலுங்கு பாடல்களை உருவாக்கினார்கள். அந்தப் பாணியும் இனிமையாக இருந்தது. அடுத்த கட்ட முன்னேற்றமாக விஸ்வநாதன் ராமமூர்த்தி ஜோடினர் கர்நாடகா ராகத்தின் அடிப்படையில் ஒரு மெல்லிசை பாதையை உண்டாக்கினர். இந்தப் பாணி சமூக திரைப்படங்களுக்கு கச்சிதமாக பொருந்தியது. தமிழ் திரைப்பட பாடல்களுக்கு ஒரு நல்ல அஸ்திவாரத்தை அமைத்துக் கொடுத்துவிட்டு இசைமேதை ஜி ராமநாதன் அவர்கள் திடீரென்று 1963 ஆம் ஆண்டு மறைந்துவிட்டார். பிறகு கே. வி. மகாதேவன் அவர்கள் ஜி ராமநாதன் பாணியில் இசை வழங்கி அதில் வெற்றி கண்டார். அவர் கிராமிய இசையை தமிழ் திரைப்பட உலகில் அறிமுகப்படுத்தினார். அதன் பிறகு இளையராஜா, ஏ ஆர் ரகுமான் ஆகியோர் உருவாகிபல பாடல்களை வழங்கி வருகின்றனர். ஜி.இராமநாதன் அவர்கள் மறைவிற்குப் பிறகு அழுத்தமான தாளக்கட்டை அமைத்து வருபவர் இளையராஜா மட்டுமே. இவருடைய எடுப்பான தாளத்தில் பல பாடல்கள் பிரபலமடைந்தன.
