Blessing to you Lama Yeshe Rinpoche. I first visited the Samye Ling center under very auspicious circumstances when it was the Johnston House back in 1972 . I met with Lama Akong Rinpoche. a few times and attended. Puja. I immigrated to the USA in 1977. My meeting with Tulku Akong Rinpoche has inspired many aspects of my life. I wish to return to the Samye Ling Monastery in 2024. It is my sincerest to meet with you. Many Blessings to you Rinpoche.

I recently read your book 'from a mountain in Tibet' and when you were talking about retreats and isolation it's reminded me of when we had to stay at home during the lockdown. I found a lot of peace being secluded, I did have my partner with me but I wasn't able to go out or see family due to health issues so I had to stay inside. I found alot of peace and learned alot about myself in that time. Hearing about when you went through the darkness retreat it then made sense to me why I had learned alot during that time of isolation
