It's been a pretty good year for harvest, not too wet..... Thanks Erik.
It sure has been Brent. It would be nice to have a little moisture for tillage though.
Good morning Erik !!!
Good evening Gary!
Good morning Erik ☕☕☕ Nice weather for getting it done! 👍🍻
Good evening Ed. 🍻🍻 It's been a smooth harvest, just wish there was some moisture for tillage.
That combine is moving fast. Is October 4 early to be done?
It could have a larger bean head. Conditions were very good. October 4 is about normal for harvesting soybeans here.
Good morning Erik. This harvest seemed more relaxed than most. The weather seemed to cooperate. Pretty bare here. Thank you.
Good evening Bryce. Yes, not so pressured by rain coming. We are very dry here.
That sure pulls along nicely. 👍🙂
@@farawayfarm2520 it does pretty well.
Nice combo.
They work well together.
Good morning Erik ☕☕☕ Nothing beats a little horsepower!!
Good evening Ed. 🍻🍻 Seems like a person can never have enough horsepower.
@pinesedgefarm1155 as a friend of mine used to say, there's no replacement for displacement..
Corn is running around 90% harvested here. We set a record on this farm 206 bpa this year Never broke 200 before Been knocking on that door pretty hard but this is the first year ever to break down that barrier!
Still lots of corn out there yet. That's a great accomplishment. I'm actually surprised you didn't have that already. Another interesting growing season.
@ , keep in mind Erik that we had a cold, wet, late spring here Delayed a great deal of the planting
We finally got our much needed rain yesterday and last night It rained very lightly in the afternoon and then rained all night Still getting light sprinkled this morning
Still dry here, seems like every cloud keeps going around.
Good morning Erik! ☕️☕️
Good morning Gary ☕☕☕
@ ☕️☕️👍🏻👊🇺🇸
Good evening Gary.
That is a giant New Holland…can’t even hear it strain with that ripper. Isn’t that a NH badged Versatile built in Canada?
That's what you need!! There was a time, dad would joke around that if we ever had a big fourwheel drive, we could hook all our equipment to it at once, and go to work.. one pass and done👍🤣😂 Good morning Dave ☕☕☕
It is actually the smallest of the articulated New Hollands of that time. It sure is fun to drive. Yes, it was built by Versatile out of Winnipeg Canada.
Good morning Erik. Any rain ?
Good morning Bryce. We are dry so far. They are saying snow, so we shall see.
@pinesedgefarm1155 I've been slightly soggy. Wisconsin got plenty last night.
Good morning Bryce ☕☕☕
@GosselinFarmsEdGosselin Good morning Ed.
@@brycewiborg8095 still dry here, the rain clouds seem to go right around us.
Good Morning Erik..... That old girl doesn't even grunt pulling that......Thanks.
Good morning Brent ☕☕☕
Good evening Brent. It pulled pretty easily there.
Man that cordless was epic!!! The ole 620 doing it's thing!! Getting stocked up for winter I see!! Thank you sir for bringing us along!! 😁😁👌🏻👌🏻🇺🇲🇺🇲🚜🚜🍻🍻
That saw sure is handy! I still like my gas powered stuff though. Getting closer to being ready for winter. Thanks Nelson.😁🍻🍻🚜🛻👨🌾🇺🇸🇺🇸🌽🌽
Is that saw a 20 volt? I use our Dewalt around here quite a bit....they have their place. The 620 doesn't even know it's working. Ya gots to cut vood to stay varm in da vinter...Thanks Erik.
It is an 18 volt, it is quite handy for doing odd jobs. The 620 is a bit overpowered for the splitter. Oh yeah, you got dat right there Mr. Brent.
Nice little saw!! 👍😎🍻🍻
It sure is Ed.🍻🍻
Nice log splitter.
Thanks, it makes quick work of the firewood.
Nice one hand chainsaw. Looked like a beautiful day for splitting. That’s some gnarly hardwood but it split.
It is a handy saw. It was actually too warm to be doing that job that day. I was splitting some Ash that I cut two years ago.
Full watch Erik
Thanks Gary.
Good morning Erik.
Good afternoon Gary.
Never driven a 620. That says a lot considering all of the two cylinder tractors in the neighborhood. Thank you Erik.
Now that you mention it Bryce, I have never driven one either We had a 630.
I have a Saker mini chain saw I like it OK, but it doesn’t have the chain oiler that the Milwaukee mini does You have to drizzle oil on the bar by hand
@tractortalkwithgary1271 Good morning Gary. I drove a 530 for a neighbor. Nice tractors. It was missing the clutch cover. He couldn't find one.
It's a nice tractor. This one was actually my first tractor to own. I did a complete restoration in 2007. Thanks Bryce.
Awesome to see you pull in the crop!! Best, -- J. Andre. / Old Iron Acres
@@OldIronAcres thanks, we've had good weather to get things done.
I'm way behind on videos but I figured I better watch you guys chop corn. Looks like you used just about everything.
You're telling me, I'm even late on commenting back. Just about, I was all over the neighborhood for a few days. Thanks Will.
Looks like you've been busy 👍. Always good to take out those random missed stalks in the field 🤣🤣🍻🍻🍻🍻
I'm not one to sit idle. It's all about the finished appearance.😂🍻🍻
Awesome lineup of equipment....I love the Deere and IH sitting side by side.....you must have a bunch of milk cows....Thanks Erik.
@@brenterickson1695 a few different operations besides at home. Those two work good together. We have enough head to keep us busy. Thanks Brent.
Man what an aray of beautiful equipment!! That was several different operations going at one time!! I think those silos and unloaders are so cool!! That 4020 on the blower was sweet!! Side by side with the 966😉😉 Glad it went well and another is in the books!! Thank you my friend for bringing us along, look fwd to seeing whats next!! 😁😁😁😁🇺🇲🇺🇲👌🏻👌🏻🌽🌽🌾🌱🌱🚜🚜🍻🍻🍻
We should be done with corn tomorrow and harvest 2024 will be in the history books
@@tractortalkwithgary1271 it's nice to be done.
Good afternoon Erik.
@@tractortalkwithgary1271 good morning Gary, only a few days late.
Good morning Erik ☕☕☕ Claas are nice machines! Drove beside them for many thousands of acres.. quieter than a Deere and feed better too.
Good afternoon Ed!🍻🍻 That chopper could eat! It's nice to see how different brands perform.
@@pinesedgefarm1155 good afternoon Erik 🍻 The older ones, like both your JDs, could sure eat! The newer ones, Claas feeds smoother, will actually out perform a bigger JD.. I don't know about the brand new ones..
Big operation. I feel like I was there…minus the dust down the neck of my shirt😅. That is one tall silo with an amazing view. Field conditions are amazing. I remember having to pull the chopper tractor (Oliver 1365 4WD) through mud some years. Never had a silage pit.
@@Rollinghillsfarmsmn 3 different operations besides at home. Boy is it dusty here. That silo is 68 ft. A little Italian Oliver. That would be a nice tractor to have these days. Thanks Dave.
I think every year I comment on how cool those wagons are…when were they manufactured. Don’t think I’ve seen the 4020 on the blower before
@@andylieffring3987 I'm not sure when they were manufactured, but thinking in the 80's. The 4020 used to fill all the silos until we got more horsepower. We like to stretch it's legs once in awhile.
I don't recognize that silo unloader ? I helped assemble several new Patz unloaders long ago. Patz was popular around Lafayette, and St. George. The Patz distributor in Cokato was popular.
I believe the unloader is a Norling and pretty much the same as a Vandale. Lot's of Patz and Valmetal around here. Thanks Bryce.
It's disappearing fast. I barely see any soybeans, and would guess the corn is about 50% gone. Thank you Erik.
I'm a few days late. Soybeans are pretty much gone here. Corn is probably half.
Is the tedder hard on the leaves ?
It can be, if done at the wrong time. I really like it for thick/tall grass.
I finally made it here to watch. Beautiful big bales. We got rained out working on the cow shed. First rain in close to two months and it comes on the Saturday when I have some building help. We did make good progress though before it got too wet.
Thanks, the hay turned out good. I would have never guessed that it would be this dry. We had a few drops this morning, nothing that slowed us down. Good to hear you are making progress on the shed. Thanks Will.
That was sweet when your raking with the 60 and a early 30s sedan drives by.....guess I'm old school and this old dog isn't going to change.....I don't know who's going to eat that alfalfa, but I know their going to love it....Thanks Erik.
That was perfect timing to get that car. I like the old stuff as well. It's actually a 620, a little newer. The alfalfa will be keeping dairy cows happy. Thanks Brent!
Late. Thank you Erik.
Better late than never. Thanks Bryce.
Good afternoon Erik. Guards usually break, not bend.. That's so damn good looking alfalfa, as expected!!
Good evening Ed. That hay dried better than the rest all summer. It hasn't rained since before I cut that.🍻🍻
@@pinesedgefarm1155 nice 👍
We made this in the late 70's with a Gehl 600. Filled a 16x50 silo every year.
It makes good feed.
That is sure nice alfalfa. Like how you rotated through the classic fleet for the different jobs.
Thanks. I have plenty of classics to get the jobs done.
It may be short, but no complaints with a dry spell for making hay! Does the wheel rake make what looks like a double windrow because the hay is short?
It turned out really well. The wheel rake takes two windrows and puts them into one. The big balers work better with more hay in a windrow.
What a beautiful crop!! It really worked out this season for ya it seems!! Running like a well oiled machine, boy those squares come out beautiful!! The little co-op tractor is really something to see, and out putting in work!! Really enjoyed the ride along and seeing you get in an amazing crop!! I may have missed the last video, I can't remember. If so I will get caught up! Looking fwd to seeing what's next!! 😁😁👍🏻👍🏻👌🏻👌🏻🇺🇲🇺🇲🌱🌱🌾🌾🌽🌽🍻🍻🚜🚜
Thanks! Considering all the rain we had this summer I managed to not have any get rained on. That was the first time using the co-op on the tedder, it handled it very well. Hope things are good your way.🇺🇸🇺🇸🍻🍻🌽👨🌾🌾🛻🚜🚜

Good evening Gary.
Nice fleet of Fords 👌. I've only seen one bi-directional in my neck of the woods, they look pretty handy. After all these years, i still don't know who the heck Alice is 😂😂😂🍻🍻🍻🍻
They like their blue ones.😁 Those are pretty slick tractors. That song never gets old.🤣🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻
This has been sure a good year for hay......Laying down liquid gold....and who the heck is Alice?.....lol. Thanks Erik.
@@brenterickson1695 complete opposite of last year with all the crops. That stuff does wonders. I was wondering if anyone caught that song. LOL Thanks Brent!
