I made them. Grabbed pictures off the internet, sized them to fit on back of my HBG WW2 TF markers, printed on Staples adhesive paper. Need to print more, it was fun finding the images I wanted to use… including a shot or two from Red Dawn, Rambo FBII, etc. 😁

There were discounted faction kits available for purchase with the game pre-orders. There may still be faction sets on the website. The pieces are offered in individual sets, similar to the Global War 1914 or 1936 games. Certainly substitue pieces (ie Axis & Allies infantry, subs, etc) can be used to start. I’d recommend looking at the piece counts for the factions to get an idea. The investment is more hobby than board game range.

The dice are fickle things. Throw enough of them and they’ll turn on you.

Da, dice gulag is effective on both 6 and 12 sided dice. Is good.

They did. It was not a fight that I wanted after being at war with the US and NATO, so tried something new by attacking early.

Thanks for watching and commenting. All the rules, reference sheets, etc are available at HBG’s website under Global War 1985. I use Airborne Early Warning aircraft to identify US and Soviet Home Country major airbases. I also use the navy’s E2C Hawkeye AEW aircraft to track locations of naval Task Forces containing super carriers. It is what Sky Marshall would call ‘Table Bling’. The major airbases do produce cruise missiles in wartime- so the AEW aircraft do make it easier to count quickly. But they are for fun only as their capabilities have been built into the bases/supercarriers.

Not this time. Just base game and optional units: ASW Helos, SPAAGs and Rocket Artillery. I also love the Battleships & BattleCruisers, and the Naval Aviation expansions.

I dont recall off hand. Check the Nuclear Release section of the rules. ICBMs cab pretty much reach any tartget in that Scenario.
