Floss tube #15 Stitching with My Kitties
Thank you for taking a few minutes to see my The Crowned Heart--A Wedding Sampler by Modern Folk Embroidery. It was stitched on white 40 count Verdal by Zweigart. I started it on 5 May and completed it on 25 August. I did not stitch on it at Stitch-Con although I did frog quite a bit of it one day. It's nice to hear someone else say that they tried to have multiple projects and just couldn't do it! 😄 At most I think I can have three stitchy projects, but I'm probably happiest with two. Then I get really intentional with working on one and ignore the other! It's the same with my knitting. I can't have too many projects going at once.

My dear MIL--she's in heaven now--tried for years to teach me how to knit. She never lost patience with me, however I still cannot knit. Well, as long as I don't have to increase other than yarning over I can't knit. She was so happy when I knitted her some dish clothes that started with 4 stitches and then you added a yarn over stitch with each row. She made me feel so accomplished. I feel like such an odd duck out in the pond of the cross stitch community with my 1-3 projects. :-D Knitting was the first thing to click with me. I started out with crochet, in the dark ages before UA-cam. Knitting was learned with DVDs from the library. I found your channel through an Instagram post. I admit I'm not sure who did it, but it was because you purchased a July box ? :-) I'm glad to have found your channel and I'll be playing catch up during the week. You have a good one, too!

I put the center pattern pages together this evening and even starting a few stitches in the very top of the center. I'm just going to continue to take my time and enjoy the stitch. Even if I don't complete it before we leave for South America. I will simply take it with me. I hope your family is still continuing to get better and that you will see them soon!

Such fun you two virtual friends must have had getting to go to Stitch Con together..I’m gonna go back and watch all of yours, but when I watched your number 1, I can’t believe you mentioned living in the Baltimore area! Me too - Howard County. Though I’ve not been to your LNS, now I hope to. I go to The Stitching Post in Catonsville. Like you I returned to cross stitch during the pandemic (Wonderful Niecie was one of the first flosstubes discovered) I also sew and machine embroider and quilt. I have that Real Comfort chart and called it finished after completing everything but the alphabet. I stitched this during the first year of Covid. You can use the color of your choice. Mine was DMC 3768.

I know--I have the new Apple iPhone 15 and the back camera won't mirror. I've even asked Apple about it. I've tried everything I know to get it to work because it's driving me crazy!! If you know of a fix please let me know! I hope you have a wonderful rest of the weekend.

I too checked you out because of Niecie Lynn. Loved your stitching. What pattern do you use for your pin cushions? I love how they coordinate with your project bags. My favorite animal for spring time are robins. I know when they come out, that warmer weather has finally arrived.
