Beautiful notebooks and journals and thanks for the great video. It has a very comforting vibe. As for the colours its the same with me. Black for everything except when I have repeated items, then the most beautiful colours I can get my hands on.

Nice haul! I looked it up, paysanne means a rustic way of cutting vegetables. I’m not sure why this print is called that though, maybe it’s painted in a rustic way?

I am having such a difficult time this year deciding what to do. I have been so unwell this year that I have journaled half as much as I usually do, and had already cut down to an A5 dayfree. It is too depressing to write how poorly I feel every day, but still want to be able to journal! The minimum spend to sweden is so high from the official website I am struggling to reach it even though I am thinking of going into A6 for the first time! You made some beautiful choices, the little zip cover is so practical and lovely.

Wonderful to hear your thoughts, love all your potential picks! There are a lot of charming designs and details this year (like the piping, so nice) and quite a bit of yellow, which is such a happy colour. I've gone back and forth this week myself! I tend to focus more on the how everything I order will work/coordinate together, more than the individual covers and when I saw the japanese Hobonichi livestream, I fell in love with one editor's collection: Baby buffalo cover (pricey but looks well made and fashion forward), Indigo jeans 5-year, Aletonne document case in green, with the sushi HON and pens/stationary etc---I hear you on the plastic look of the Aletonne, I feel the same but in the document case vs the book covers I don't mind as much) and the Denali weeks, it's just so energizing and unique. I also love the Hermes orange and tan canvas material w/ gorgeous sketch illustration on the A6 paddington cover, so will have to add that as well, maybe with a Tragen flat pouch, which seems so functional!

Love all your journals--wonderful idea about the photo a day in the monthly section of the HON! Your book picks are great, I love the JK Rowling speech so it's lovely to have a copy of her speech with charming illustrations. Love your thrift store finds, gorgeous cup and platter!

I am struggling 😔 I love reading, and bought more books than I have in many years this years sale - they had so many english lanuage books this time so I was so excited! I adored Roald Dahl when I was young and have re-read a few as an adult and still love them. I have been looking for nice teacups but they are always so tiny - that ones a find! The happy cat noises are so lovely. Hope you are having a good sportlov!

Have you ever used a ring binder for a creative journal? I’m thinking about trying it this year- mostly so I can change paper types as I see fit. I’m also going to experiment with a ring binder as my writing journal- I want to see if it’s more economical than buying Tomoe river and midori notebooks. I just bought 2 a5 ring binders (one Filofax and one moterm) to test my theory. I was worried about storage too but there’s a UA-camr ( kiss my a’s 😂) who just keeps everything together with loose rings. It doesn’t look like it takes anymore space than what I’m already doing. Ps the green is beautiful❤

You are so cute trying to peek around to see if the focus is on the item to avoid the camera focusing on your face. Thanks for sharing your haul. I tried to use one my covers for a manga I bought, but it is also too thick, and it has a slightly oversized jacket cover that is attached to the manga. So it didn’t work, even though it is an A5 book.

Wow I pegged you as Scandinavian with your accent. Not Danish, but I do not hear much spoken English by Swedes. I am here in Denmark, as a transplanted American married to a Dane. Yes I get sick of the soreness of my throat from speaking Danish. So Hej fra Sjælland, i nærheden af sommer slottet. I keep trying to get my husband to switch to the Swedish office for his job. Just because your language will be easier on my throat. Such a beautiful haul. I love the hollyhock wallet and your pencil board selections. I may pick up the folders when I do an order in October. I did get the same Hon as you, was yours English? If so, they must have had a few stocked, because it says it ships on 01 Nov 2023. I hope mine comes next week. No shipping notification came between the 6th and the 9th, so they said until the 11th, so I have to wait until Monday for it to ship.

Loved hearing your thoughts and seeing all your picks for next year! I went with the almond A5 as well (such a good shade of tan), the HON A5 botanical to try out a HON---I agree with you about A6 size, it always feels forced when I try to use it too but I loved the wax kip leather and the cherry blossom avenue covers so I will find a way to incorporate them as well. I only use the Weeks for very specific tracking and went with the botanical and twinkling stars versions (loved the moody nighttime vibe and the cats, wish was less glossy but...). Your cat is adorable, you will love the bow tie cats, it's really special. Good idea on the little gifts folders, nice way to enjoy the illustrations but not as distracting as a cover. I also ordered the (otter?) little pouch this year, such a cute illustration in a good colour palette. Enjoy your new pieces and look forward to the unboxing!

Thank you for sharing your collection, it's so good! You have some really beautiful covers that I would love to own myself---I wonder if hobonichi covers have now become either too playful/almost childlike or sophisticaled/minimal and they may be missing those special artful covers in-between. I can completely relate to your comments on reading, I've starting reading poetry books in those months when I'm feeling the same (too busy/lack the focus for the intensity of a novel), that way I can still stay reading but in a very flexible way, Mary Oliver is a current favorite!

The filofax colour matches your eyes, it's so pretty! (It's pronounced s-age - said like my age is 38 <3). I've only ever had the cheaper filofaxes because I always love the idea of rings but never get around to filling it out how I would like. I am in just a full cousin again this year, like the last, I am enjoying it! Puss och kram!
