Hello :)
Awesome!!
I like it! Smart idea
How much?
$25k
About $9000 for the camera and lens with all the accessories too
Shut up, its called engineering
I bet someone on set was just waiting for the camera to fall.
10000000%
What Is the film?
It's a short high school drama
Great unboxing! Me too, I can't afford the whole set, was looking at the 32mm & 75mm combo for fx6, zve-1 combo. What are your thought & experience using this?
I have the 32 and 75. I love them But they do have some flaws. Im going to make a video about it soon.
@@samtmakesmovies Thanks for your reply! much appreciated, as I was thinking of the same combo :)
thats crazy 😂
The FX30 is fantastic - and yes - the complaints the Super35 was a 'problem' shows the ignorance of many UA-camrs - Super35 rules Cinema! (And the FX30 'only' having a 2nd ISO base of 2500 is also exactly where the best cinema cameras max out - maybe 3200 for the new Venice2)!! (The high base of 12,800 in the FX6 and FX3 is NOT that clean - def not where you want to shoot if at all possible...) I would love if they opened up open gate 6K - even if it was just RAW for external recorders via HDMI - I am sure that is easy with software - but probably too good for Sony to release on this little camera! Internal ND - lets hope for that in the next version as it will require a major hardware redesign...
Thanks for your comment, I think you make a lot of great points. I agree with you, I think my only changes for a mark two would be open gate and built in ND. But I will take what we got.
⭐ Promo_SM
No need for the tapes sony cameras allow for aspect ratio guides and even the hybrid ones have it so I'm pretty sure the cine line must have it
Oh cool, I will need to look more into the settings
Some cameras dont. Like my Canon Eos R100, the aspect ratio guides are not supported :((
I love this camera
Same here
Is that an EOS 35mm?
Yes it is, it's the Canon EOS 620, let me know if I should make a full video on it.
@@samtmakesmovies Cool, I got the EOS 650 to get into 35mm and use my EF lenses. Always interested to learn more about different cameras too.
Oh cool, I think its a very similar camera.
and did you got the shot?
Yes I did
@@samtmakesmovies good, where we can see it?
I will make a video on it
Was looking to buy some used lens.... You changed my mind 😅
Haha
I think you’ll be okay I was filming football in the pouring rain with my R6 Mark ii and a 70-200 my camera got soaked but I just left it to dry and it still works perfectly fine. I was doing research it’s not really the water you should be worried about it’s when it rusts is when your camera breaks so Dry it up
That's super cool to know it's the rust that breaks it, I always thought it was just the water. Camera seems to be fine for the most part unfortunately the lens was not as lucky and now has a lot of hazing. Seams to be getting better by every day so fingers crossed it still works.
People made movies with 35mm film which would be full frame of you want to call it that. Confused about you saying full frame is new. My friend picked one of these up excited to check it out
Thanks so much for your comment. You bring up a great point of 35mm film being full frame, I should have been more clear as I was primarily looking at the camera through the digital landscape. Hope you like your friends camera, it's super cool!
Hey bro you reading?
No I was not, but definitely thinking about doing a teleprompter or something in the future.
That’s cool I was just curious keep em coming!
I definitely will
If I had that gear, chains would be my best friend..
#stopgreenscreenmen
All that and no monitor 😭
HAHA, such a good point
Congrats. Looking forward to some video!
Thank you, they are on their way
how you liking it
I really like it. I love the size and the Image is amazing . I will be posting a video in the next few days with some sample footage from it.

I’m hyped
Thanks
You have a cat or dog?
I have a dog
@@samtmakesmovies asked that because you had what looked like dog hair on the bag. Cheers mate, I have a cat and he's pretty lazy. Would love a dog but you can't have em all.
Great job bro
Thank you!
? p♥r♥o♥m♥o♥s♥m
What?
Ayyyyy good job on this one. My favorite out of all.😃😃😃
Thank you
1:45 “ i run a video production business”…. your lighting setup says otherwise… “i needed a smaller camera for faster turn around times… and less work in post”…. ummmm, the physical size of the camera doesnt have anything to do with post production and turn around times lmao
Ok, I am working on all parts of my work. I am here to learn, maybe we should support others instead of being so critical but I thank you for your feedback.
@@samtmakesmovies just busting your chops man. we’ve all been there, keep going at it 🤘
maybe, you just weren't that familiar with the camera? probably just takes a bit of getting used to...
I have heard that it is more the lens
I hate it too brother. All my blacks are magenta blocks of compressed bullshit. I have the fx3 now and it’s everything I wanted in a camera
Yea, I really want that. I think with the new Sony cameras they really figured It out.
what is happening with sound, light, grain and colors here? I mean, I don't know if you're a trustworthy source about video when I see what you film
Yea, this was my first talking head video. I guess I was wanting to rush it so I didn't take the time to set up lights or boom poles. I am still trying to figure out how to make my talking heads better so they are both fast and easy for me to record well also looking and sounding good. Thank you for the feedback and I definitely will work on it.
Hey! what is the best Sony camera for you?
Probably the the FX6 or the a7s3.
NONSENSE , GET TO KNOW WHAT YOU DO FIRST
Ok, I am sorry or not making a video with all of the information. I will do that before I make my next one.
And who are you to say that? The Sony a7c is a super powerful compact camera, with the approval of great photographers and videographers. I think the problem is you little man.
Ok, I am sorry or not making a video with all of the information. I should have tested other lenses than just the kit one. I will do that before I make my next one.
Have you tried using HLG3 and 2020 color space then using a Color Space Transform in DaVinci to bring it to Rec709 gamma 2.4? It looks pretty great and is color accurate, with possibilities for use with HLG HDR in the future. The 8 bit is definitely a limitation and I agree with you on that, but it is possible to get a good image out of the Sony 8 bit, just with a bit more futzing than 10 bit (which should honestly be standard)
Yea I should have tried more color spaces. I was getting to frustrated with trying one and then not being pleased. I am sorry I made a video with all of the information. I should have tested other lenses than just the kit one. I will do that before I make my next one.
@@samtmakesmovies no worries 👍🏻
A7c is not for everyone, looks like it was a lot of user error
I think so or I was using a cheep lens witch was the kit lens from Sony.
you sir are in no position to say a7c is a horrible camera based on your other work you are still growing and learning keep it up but the camera tech used is the same as the a7iii which has been used to make some comercials and short movies. you rely on hand held too much tripods are great too . Try HLG and grade accordingly.
I am sorry I made a video with all of the information. I should have tested other lenses than just the kit one. I will do that before I make my next one.
The ratio of rave reviews to one like this should speak volumes - not to mention the proof in the pudding. I assumed the title of this video was meant to be clickbait and would end up being a twist in the A7C’s favor, as the raves are pretty much universal. So sorry you had a bad experience with it, but that begs some questions, like lenses used, settings, etc. - because it’s nothing short of an astonishing camera, IMO, and suffers from none of the issues you had. Glad you found something that works for you though! ;-)
I was using the kit lens and I should have done more tests with other lenses before making this video however I jumped to conclusions and that is on me. I won't make any more videos without getting the full story.
the problem is NOT the camera, the problem is YOU.
Thanks
5 minutes I’ll never get back. Make a video why we should get the R6 over the A7C, not Worst Camera Ever. A7C is a great camera for a lot of people by the way. Auto focus is not an issue, my guess is user error. I’ve made several sports highlight videos with it and have been pleased, but then again I know better than to buy an $1800 camera and put a $200 kit lens on the front of it and expect to be blown away. If $2k was your budget then you should have spent less on the body and more on a lens. I’m not a Sony fan boy either. I’ve shot both Canon and Sony and love both. Matter of fact at this moment I’m considering the R6 coupled with the 24-70 f2.8.
I wasn't expecting to be blown away, I was going to get another lens, however I thought the kit lens would be able to get some shots. I don't know what happened here and I should have waited to do more test before making this Video.
@@samtmakesmovies it’s just a really bad way to start a video. Maybe you do have extensive camera knowledge but it doesn’t show here at all. Enjoy your R6.
well i dont think this were from sony a7c or else u were using a extremely crappy lens on that.. i think that was on a point and shoot camera or something have sony a6400 with sigma trio upgraded to a7c with sony 85 1.8 and tamron 28-75 its hell of an camera .. streets portrait vlogging cinematics shoots . either plz dont give fake opinions//// or if u really have one learn to use it dude else the video was a nice joke LOL
I was purposely over reacting, I knew the lens was not going to be great however I did want to point out the problems I was seeing. I should have said this was more of a fact of the cheep lens and less the cameras
@@samtmakesmovies u said to be using the 28-60 kit lens its a nice lens for photography i havnt bought that cause i already had my tammy . Every reviewers are praising that lens for photos check the camera store they might have given u a broken stuff dude 🤣
U got a bad model mine with tamron 28 75 is awsome
Yea. I wish I got a good one
I'm betting you used a shit lens bruh.
That is not true
Ok
How can you complain about a camera if you don't even have good light. dude get a softbox or light ring. not to mention your sound terrible. what type of weddings do you shoot. must be animal wedings lol.
Thanks for the feedback. I will definitely work on my audio and light for the next video
I guess next time when you going to rant about a well working camera that is recommended by many people you should deliver some actual material. This whole video looks more like a kids joke. You show only weird screenshots of the worst video footage i ever seen. at least list your camera gear show us some raw footage with all the settings and maybe people can help you. but shooting your friend in a field what looks like two drunk kids just having fun yet sitting there claiming you have customers to satisfy and what not... man this whole things looks like a bad joke.
Ok, I appreciate your comments. This is how my footage came out, and I wanted to share my experience. I appreciate your feedback, and I definitely will work on making my next review better. This was my first one ever so there is a bit of a learning curve.
@@samtmakesmovies it's always good if you can take critisism. Not many people can handle this. Be aware that you reach a potentially huge audience here on UA-cam. And many of us are happy with the A7c and it performs great. Next time be open for discussion and rather seek help instead of claiming one camera is horrible just to Tell everyone you felt ne need to switch.
Yea, that’s a much better way to do it, I definitely will. I should have asked for help rather than just getting upset. After taking with more people I think it was a problem with the lens and less the camera.
@@samtmakesmovies I would agree with the people you talking to. Its always a matter of the right lens. The material you provided show massive CA which looks like a very poorly performing lens. Especially on Sony Camera i would always recommend to pick lenses well and its hard but you have to spend good money on good lenses.
Yea, I wanted to get started right off the bat and I just used the 28-60 kit lens. I should have tested out another lens.
