He's right on that. Even tho My Chemical Romance contributed to emo scenes, many mainstream bands are not emo. And he had a good point: Sunny Day Real Estate and The Promise Ring are the best examples of REAL emo. Just 2000s emo kids confused punk rock bands with emo, that's all. But bands like Sunny Day Real Estate, Mineral, The Promise Ring, Jimmy Eat World, American Football, caP'n Jazz etc. are the TRUE emo! 🖤🤘
