    Hi Roger, Thanks for reminding us about the social connections. I feel that even though it's is very important for our well-being, it's very less practiced. I have been in UK for more than an year now and I am finding it difficult to make friends and socialize here. Everybody exchange smiles here but they don't go beyond that point. If there are any suggestions on how to socialize and make friends, they would be welcome 😁

    After studying social anxiety for 30+ years I discovered I was suppressing anger - without being aware of it at all. I believed that expressing anger means what I seen in ACE and ACoA years: rage, fury and hysteria - so I ignored my own anger when in contact with toxic people - ending with social anxiety. No CBT book, no self help books explain this at all, that social anxiety is connected to this suppressed anger. Social anxiety is being explained as irrational fear and shyness - causing anyone to believe that our task is to suppress our emotions as cure for social anxiety - inadvertently making social anxiety worse and chronic. Because of wrong description of social anxiety.

    I am in agreement with questioning the value of manual therapy. The deep nervous system tension habits define so much of how people are trapped. I like the clarity of how you explain it.

    One word only.. Super Did you know, sometime I checked the back bone condition, posture of pasient it was needed ..but for extreme conditions of Pasien, their problem were extremely and serious,so I ought check the nerve, triger point is the super of my key than just found ulnar and release it, median release it,it takes the time. But yeah still need . But if I and triger point work together so easier to release all the problem in one key.. You got it.. Hehehe Super for you

    That is a very intuitive practice... I find that if I let my body have it's own mind, it tends to set back into the biased posture and tension that I try to work against... does this practice inform the corrective actions to take... i.e. against the natural tendencies as you let them, or do you centre and release before this flow state...?

      Thanks for the comment - yes indeed I believe it does inform their correct action and movement as you so aptly put it. I too tend to believe the body has an innate intelligence and movement with the correct flow state of mind and body. Done often enough I believe it to be a form of meditation and somatic trauma and emotional release may occur which may be what is anchoring old patterns. Used with other somatic therapy and awareness it is a very powerful tool.

      Tennis ball can work well depending upon where you’re working. If you’re skilled with feel of your hands then using hands may afford some better sense of release

    empathy is an emulator.... but unlike a computer chip, you can actually make it stronger by exercising it :) And it doesn't have to be for selfless reasons either, because empathy also guards you against people unexpectedly going off on you.

    thank you for your video . sometimes being simpler is better . Here is my issue...70 years old long term cyclist ....cycling is creating very painful iliacus issues . the area at the top of the front of the hip is very painful Any exercises would be appreciated. I also bowl 10 pin so stepping on the left slide foot and adding step power is brutal . The concept of pressure points is great as all these current stretching exercises are not helping at all.

      Sorry for delay in responding. So hard to really advise but I will do my best. An Online session would be available if you are not local. Are you based in the UK? How are the trigger points working for you? Helping? Have you tried the iliacus release around front of pelvis. You could google Baer’s point between belly button and pelvis and try pressure on that or try Sun salutation from yoga. I think i have one called crescent moon in you tube.. Try that as psoas and iliacus are part of a muscle system in the body we call the deep front line. Perhaps think broader that the singular muscle and realise other things in the myofascial chain may be affecting psoas.     Thank you for your video and it is quite a different approach than from other videos about the psoas etc. I hooked into my psoas, sidelined, and it was so tender at first but held my fingers there until the pain subsided as suggested. I must admit that there was a bit of relief when I stood up, so that is very encouraging. I will continue to do this daily as nothing else seems to be working. Many thanks.

The real question for me is always what’s the root cause. Why is the papas tight. Biomechanics, injury, held emotional issues, trauma etc. have you seen my website and or other videos on somatic work and holistic health? Wishing you well. Rodger

      @@Rdphysio Roger, I live in country Western Australia so I won't be able to make an appointment for a consultation. I really do not know what the main reason the psoas is so locked up, but it has been a gradual process for years after a very stressful death in the family. I have been attending a chiropractor and that has helped for a while but does not last. He has suggested a deep tissue massage session with a professional, so that is my next plan of action. Your video showed me how to hook in to the psoas and it helped for a while but as soon as I sit down, it seems to lock up again. I think I have left my problem way too long and it is going to be a long road to recovery. Your video is still going to be part of my recovery, so thankyou for helping me.

      Hi Danielle. Great question. Yes this can be done both sides and the myofascial lines and meridians exist symmetrically. Hence you can mirror this technique to the other side. Rodger

      Hi Felicity. Great question. Some more info would be helpful to direct a more accurate response. I think I’ll do this in the form of another video or short reel. Consistent with my professional opinion- I’m not a fan of labels in diagnosis- rather an individual understanding of you. The diagnosis as a label can be helpful but a hinderance too. What is important actually is not the surface label but an understanding of the why the symptoms are present. A diagnosis is only ever a label given to a presentation with enough symptoms and findings when assessed by a professional. Childhood attention loss, vagueness, fogginess and zoning out and a general hyperactivity physically, difficulty maintaining mental focus, poor listening and leaving no space for others to speak, generally anxious, triggers in emotion easily with defenses. Adulthood- slightly different presentation. Watch out for another video. Thanks

      Wide squat will tend to activate glutes min and medius more but it will also tend to inhibit adductors which can so often be overactive and protective from a stress point of view. I could expand into the more subtle energetic influence this in terms of base and sacral chakra. It is a very strong posture to adopt and used widely in martial arts, yoga, Qigong and tai chi and it is worth pondering why. Mainly gluts, abductors for hip and quads training if we stay straight conventional medical viewpoint tho. Thanks for the question

      Sorry not replied before. Copd will require a much more comprehensive programme than just a best single exercise. You really ought seek a good experienced respiratory physio locally. Perhaps I’ll do some more videos in the subject as you’ve prompted me. Thanks for the suggestion. Have you come across the active cycle of breathing technique. You’ll find it with a Google search. It is a series of varying size breaths followed by huffing to clear secretions. Deep breathing and I feel more importantly relaxation breaths after will work well.
