I love your way of drawing anthros SO COOL!!! Like actually insane /pos, not to mention your humans, so cooollll!! Also, as hard as it is to get over the jealousy that comes with art, finding someone to draw with can help with improving I think, makes the experience more social and positive. At least that's what I've found and every artist is different. LOVE this! Keep up the good work

Hey, not a profession artist here, but I feel like I understand the feeling of being lost and not knowing where to go next with your art. If you think your UA-cam career isn't going to work out, that's ok! There are lots of ways to be successful as an artist. You should try to put yourself out there, apply for jobs or gigs, just so you have things to put on your resume, and if you feel like you lack focus, try to make some goals for yourself. You can also know what you need to do or work on if you can get some advice from artists who have been in the industry for a while. Networking is important, so you should try to meet people and make connections where you can. Keep putting yourself out there, you are a very talented artist and if you work at it, you can make a career for yourself! Good luck and don't give up! :3

I'm not quite sure about the hierarchy its my second year on art fight I browse around on new characters posted and look at the profile that catches my eye Also wanted to say you have a very lovely art style! ^u^

You attack the characters that caught your eye or the people You'd like to attack You (maybe you know them, or they're famous or they just draw pretty, and who wouldn't like their OCs drawn pretty, right?). That's just how it works, We´re not forced to participate.

I’m new to artfight and this is my first year doing it. I really like this video a lot. Puts a lot of thought to my brain about all this. I personally do not attack or revenge based on art “skill level” or “art quality” … it’s simply based off of whether I want to draw said character or not, or more so if I can find a character I’d want to draw on their profile.😅 I’ve personally blown up from a vid I did on Artfight so I know realistically I cannot revenge every single person. So I’ve been trying to focus on just drawing what I want instead, like everyone else.

the fact that when your not an experienced artist people don't want to really talk to you is real like sometime i comment others art and they don't want to talk to me or to just listen to me because im not the same age at them and honestly that make me really sad (sorry if there is spelling mistake i'm french) and btw i love ur art style

I personally focus on designs of characters rather than art skill when I pick a character to attack. I wish more artist did this, not just for the sake of beginner artists getting some attention, but also because you can find some really fun designs to draw! It's easy to overlook how good some character's designs are when you're so stuck up on art skill and it's a bit sad.

This is my first art fight! i have done one attack and im working on the second, im hoping someone will attack back because i would love some art of my dragon oc!

I love artfight I have sm fun with it However nobody ever attakes me And i just dont have the energy too attack alot of people and its just rare i get defenses. Im aware that artfight is about fun and gaining points and not getting fanart of your chrakters But i feel like if your not a popular artist or not a popular artstyle you wont see more than 3 attaks every artfight if that.

I feel like some participants may have come into this Artfight with unrealistic expectations. Here are my thoughts, right or wrong. a) If you're an unknown artist, you might receive fewer attacks than a popular artist, and that's okay. Popular artists often have a profile and personality that many people recognize, which can attract more attention. Some of these artists have drawn their OCs so much that people are drawn to them because they've admired those characters for a while. b) Many artists fall into the older age group. Certain art circles are full of young, great artists, and while I appreciate the attacks I receive from them, I choose not to attack OCs created by minors. This is for my comfort, especially since I have NSFW content on my Twitter. I make sure to put warnings on my profile for that reason. I truly appreciate and thank the young artists when they draw for me! However, if I'm looking for an artist to attack and see that they're young, I'll pass, even if their OC looks amazing. c) The essence of Artfight is to share and give art. It can be disappointing to have only two attacks while a popular artist has thirty. It can also be frustrating to have done twenty attacks but received only two defenses, while someone who hasn't done a single attack has thirty defenses. It's completely normal to feel this way. I felt it alot!! Reflecting on why you'rein Artfight can be helpful. Are you here to make friends based on whether they drew your OC? Are you hoping for a popular artist to draw your OC? Are you looking to improve your skills or make an art friend group regardless of skill level? It can help you see if Artfight is for you. Hell, I had to change my mindset and view Artfight as an opportunity to step out of my comfort zone with my style and try different techniques. Since then I've felt much better about it. d) Lastly, people get tired. Most art seems to be created at the beginning and end of the month.

I have been participating in art fight for a few years now and whats kept it fun for me is i’m just in it for the love of the game. I find characters to draw through the tag search, home page, etc. i have no real interactions with social media and i just draw what i want… i dont worry about getting attacked back and i interact with people who do art in all sorts of styles… people forget its an art gifting game not a contract you are beholden to. I love using it to find new and interesting things to draw and flex my creative muscles, using it as a challenge for myself and not a game of popularity or social comparison.. i keep hearing secondhand about discourses and pressures and just wish everyone could find self fulfillment …

i think my problem with it is i kinda feel like i cant draw people's characters in ny regular style? (not yours, i loved doing them like chibis) but i feel like certain people are extremely picky about their characters in a way that pushes me away from my style. idk if that makes sense. I've seen people put in their comments "If you dont draw their eyes like bla bla bla ILL STRANGLE YOU." Also i agree with the hierarchy thing..very frustrating and probably why i havent been as active as when i started the first week tbh

I actually agree with this, I myself am a small artist and the hierchy theme is seen a lot on UA-cam, artfight, and a ton of other places online. I feel like beginner artists are always looked down upon, unless you make something thats so amazing looking and worth more popular artists attention.

Some people take art as a meritocracy to far, id assume that the majority of people just do it for fun, especially on art fight. The only place where meritocracy in art belongs is in the professional industry

my problem with art fight is how it seems to favour more popular artists. it’s not as fun to see people with tens or hundreds of defences while you have 2. i wish there was a way to search for users who don’t have many defences

The hierarchy is so ridiculous in the art “community” we’re all in this together, what happened to if you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say anything at all?

I agree on the weird hierarchy part; It's so odd that some people see others as below them because their own art is 'better'. I wonder how that develops. Besides that, I love your art style, especially the lineart. The colored lineart always catches me lol

This is my second art fight. Last year I only did two attacks (im really slow) and one defense near the end. I forgot this time so i missed the first week, but I've done two attacks so far and I'm working on the third (hoping to do a fourth), and I got two defences so far. I dont understand anyone going into this with a heirarchy. Im just excited that people interact with my characters no matter the skill level. I get all giddy and happy 😭 And I love making art for other people, and I end up putting a lot of effort even when I tell myself I'll do something simple. Sometimes I feel I get tunnel vision and forget that I've actually made a lot of pogress as an artist. I'll only see my mistakes, so when someone is genuinely happy to receive an attack from me, it feels nice. Either way, hopefully I can finish this revenge attack I'm currently working on soon and send an attack your way :) Edit: I legit forgot the last word 🤦🏾‍♀️
