As someone who’s currently watching Zexal and just got to what appears to be the final arc, can confirm it is absolute peak. Since Arc-V was my first Yugioh anime, I was worried Zexal would fall off a cliff, but I’m happy it didn’t.

Zexal is cringe and gay as fuck. Battle City, Season 1 of 5Ds, and Season 4 of GX are the peak of the feanchise. Nothing will ever compare.

For Arc-V fans, don't take this the wrong way, it's just that everyone here knows that Arc-V had the potential to be better, but due to poor development, it came last in what is based on Yu-Gi-Oh from the "normal" game

Arc V story is partly bad and good. But I can definitely tell the Deck Archetypes like Odd Eyes, DDD, Predaplant, and additions of support like Jack's or Crow's are pretty solid.

PERSONALLY S rank - 1. 5DS(it was perfect perfect I say) 2. yugioh dm(everything is too iconic to put it anywhere else) A rank - 3.GX (It was how they handled certain things that stopped it from being higher the manga s tier tho) B rank - 4. arc V (I get the hate but the charm is too much for me to hate plus fun ) 5. zexel ( THAT SECOND HALF CARRIED IT WAS FANTASTIC some of my fav stuff in yugioh but that first half was so bad for me I almost dropped it) C rank - 6. vrains (good show but I hated yusaku he was a bit TOOO cold and mean for my taste I felt yusei and atem were perfect amounts of serious and cool but yusaku wasn't it for me season was good just not for me) 7. season 0 ( very interesting) 8. rush shows (interesting)

5ds is my favourite but Zexal is so underappreciated, Yuma had the best character development out of any MCs and the barian arc is the best yugioh arc I've ever seen ❤

I wasn't interested in 7s, tried it and still am not interested but oddly enough I tried go rush and it was honestly fun. The plots are goofy even when it starts to get serious but overall go rush was something else, man.

Arc v started so strong and ate shit towards the end :( so did vrains, but at least vrains ended in a way where it is up to our imagination what happens next with a not so bad unfinished ending

Zexal's beginning is kinda boring but the entire Franchise peaked during its final arc because you can't look me in the eye and say 200K atk Utopia isn't the coolest shit ever

My hot take to death, but i think 5ds is super mega overrated. I love how Yusei defeats the apocalypse by just inventing the solution. The villains with timetravel could have saved a lot of time doing villain stuff if they just told him about it. I love how Yusei as a character basically stays the same throughout the whole series too. The largest piece of conflict was when he had to give up synchros for about 5 minutes before another time traveler gave him a solution and then with Kalin when he was about the lose the only time in the series (non-flashback) and decided to DNF like a littebitch instead.
