Suburban rear seat stuck - FIXED!
My rear right seat was stuck in the up position. Even if yours is stuck in the down position, I think this video may help make sense of the problem. It’s a lot easier than I was made to believe. Take a look. Thanks for watching. I hope to provide more helpful DIY videos in the future.

I have used this video so many times.
Thank you for making this video got a 2007 tahoe never had a problem with the 3rd row seat till now can’t wait to fix it
Wondering why I can't get the recline mechanism to work at all?
Thanks to your video guidance, I was able to put our third seat down for the first time in six years.
Log Chain💥hooked to my dump truck got mine right out,,,nothing worked,,so i snatched it out like a bad tooth‼️
Thank you very much , your video helped me big time 👍🏻👍🏻
He there I have a 2005 Yukon I just got. The rear 50/50 third seat is stuck in the stowed/folded--up position. The 1, 2, and 3 labeled levers...they won't move in any direction. The hooks and brackets do not look rusty or stuck. I have searched for 2 hours for solutions on UA-cam and forums and cannot find this exact problem. Also, have you noticed there are no exclusive 2nd Gen Yukon pages on FB? Any suggestions? Thanks!
Love the kids in this video! 😊
Nightmare engineering!!! Using 4 bolts as hold down would have been so much better! 😫
Thank you very much for a useful video ❤
This worked for me too, thank you so much!! I also loved the kiddo noise in the background and finding a lego stuck in the seat; most Suburban owners can relate to that since its probably why we own one, lol :)
Very informative video,thank you 👍
Thanks this helped
Was bit on a jam you saved me thanks 😂😊
Awesome! same seat in mine was broken same way. Thank you.

That was it! Thanks
Easy indeed
Great tip. Thank you.
Attempted for 2.5 hours to get the cable and black knob to move in order to fold seat down with no luck. Any suggestions?
Well…helped solve the problem big dog! Thank you for posting.
what year is your truck, make and model?
Also got to commend you on the fact that after you fixed yours and put it back together you were willing to make a video of it and go through the entire process again. That's great thanks
GREAT VIDEO! My rear passenger won't flip down or up and this tutorial is great information on how to get it squared away. Thanks
thank you for taking the time energy to make this video. can i cashapp you some money for a coffee?
Just want to thank you for this you saved me $845.76! It literally cost me 175.00 for the dealership to look at it, and tell me it was a cable and would cost me 845.76 to fix it!
Thank you so much for this video!
Thank you for making this - successfully fixed year-old issue. Great video! Dealer quote was $900+, we did it in 1 hour due to issue outlined below. As we were finishing the fix, the cable slipped out of its attachment point in the right side "1" lever. Couldn't see hole to reinstall due to angle, requiring removal of interior molding. this was easy once figured out: 1) fold seat in closed position, 2) undo cushion by pulling out of rubber track, 3) push cushion back under seat to access lower molding attachment screw, 4) open seat partway to access higher screw. Easy to put back together.
Thank you⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
You the man 👍🏻
Does this work for the second row?
THANKS FOR THIS!! Was exactly what was wrong with my ‘07 Tahoe!!
Excellent job, And explanation. Thanks for sharing
Thanks!!!!!!
The knob is stuck on mine it won't go forward
i had same problem. 1) used a large crescent wrench to get better leverage on latch - adjusted it so it fit over entire mechanism from back and 2) jiggled seat while pulling up on wrench which pushed knob down as in the video/ Good luck!
Mine wont fold up its stuck folded down
Did you get yours fixed? Mine won't go up either. Both 3rd row seats are only lifting halfway up. It's so frustrating!
THANK YOU!
Freaking life saver. Thank you so much bud. I owe you a bottle of whiskey.
Does anyone happen to know the part number for that synchronizer cable? I need a new cable, mine is damaged and the 2 different part numbers I found from GM were both incorrect parts.
Thanks this video was extremely helpful. The right rear seat in my 2011 tahoe was stuck down. I watched this video and figured out what was happening. Not a problem anymore. Thanks again amigo.
Thanks I was just about to pull out the sawzall and rip that pig out!! Im tossing my two back seats. This thing was a real pain in the rear!
Thank you we were giving up already but we watched your video and fixed the seat thank you
Thank you SO much ... was losing my mind thinking we couldn't use the seat anymore! You Tube for the win again!
