    Any issues with the vent guards interfering with your windows going up and down? I just ordered the Weathertech in channel for my 2020 Ranger and was advised that could happen.

    • @onlyawesomewoman
      @onlyawesomewoman Рік тому

      Yes there’s a chance of that with any in channel. I had a set in a car for years, and it would act wonky and hit it once in a while. The best way to prevent that, is to be sure (best you can) that it sits properly and let the tape “cure” by leaving windows up for at least 24 hrs. Similar to gluing a broken piece of ceramic- want it to sit “comfortably”. Let them sit in the sun to warm up before install- will stick better when warm and easier to manipulate.

    I don't like how the front bottom corner has to touch/tuck under the bottom weather strip deforming it. My driver side trim got gouged by the sharp corners.

    • @onlyawesomewoman
      @onlyawesomewoman 2 роки тому

      I found that too. Push it as far over to the door handle side, so it’s minimally resting on the stripping under the side mirror. I chose to push the vent on the exterior side of the stripping. I’ll see if i can post a close up. Also- after driving, I found it is beneficial to add additional double sided tape to the middle and end of the vent/ defector.

    Thanks for the great video, brilliant tip on bending back the metal plate. Did mine today and went very well. I left my pipe slightly longer so that I could file the edges from the side making them nice and smooth. The Falcon Cromo line exhaust has this look which I liked. Thanks again for a great video .

    I would make the holes you drilled twice as big as the ones you drilled to make it even louder and then spray the inside of the muffler with some high temperature black paint so the inside of the muffler is not so noticeable.

    Great video but this is not debaffling. This is drilling baffles. Your baffles are still mostly intact and in the pipes. Debaffling involves removing the baffles that you drilled the holes into.

    • @onlyawesomewoman
      @onlyawesomewoman 8 років тому

      Rigid, class 1. Check your allowed towing capacity under specs of your vehicle. Then cross check weight with towing weight classifications. (Mine, and most small SUV is class 1) hitches, differ slightly by how they are built, but most are four bolts, like I showed

    Great video! I did the same exact thing on my 2007 Elantra. I'm in the process of redoing all speakers and I think I might had some thin weatherstripping around the back of the speaker. The 6.5" does fit nice, but not perfect.

    Future reference, just splice the speaker wire and use a couple of wire crimps to attach some new speaker wire that will give the length you need to attach to the speaker....a lot faster =)
