Sealing Bus Roof Leaks and reinstalling solar panels
Переглядів 342 місяці тому
EJ The Bus had two leaks, one along a roof seam and the other due to faulty gasket/seal on the negative solar panel cable. I used white roofing cement to seal the leaks and coated the roof with white flex seal. Solar panels off roof, safe from snow and ice storm.
Переглядів 144 місяці тому
Solar panels are safe, good timing on removing them from bus roof. Yesterday snowstorm and then freezing rain and tree limbs coming down bus is safe.
BUS VLOG 163 Upgrading AC Cover
Переглядів 175 місяців тому
While the previous cover was a good option and not to difficult to deal with it would not have the benefit if reducing or eliminating rain from getting into the AC box area. This cover of course would not be effective enough against a strong driving rain but most rainstorms it will function well. Bus Vlog 162 Installing my electrical closet shelf and doors
Переглядів 145 місяців тому
All of the items used were from items my dad collected over the years. Even though some of the wood pieces are warped in cases like my electrical closet which is not part of the living area, need only be accessible by me, it does not have to be perfect or look fancy. BUS VLOG 161 Installing my second Maxxair fan
Переглядів 165 місяців тому
This was long overdue. I wanted at least two of these fans installed, one in the cab which only needed to be on a very low setting pulling any hot air out of the cab and from within the bus through a vent to reduce heat issues and the second one for the following two reasons: 1. To replace the window fan which had to put in and out of the bus window and store when not in use and it was hard to ...
BUS VLOG 160 How Not to set up Potable Water Tank
Переглядів 785 місяців тому
Aside from the defective manufacturers weld there were other multiple issues, some from my setup, that were problematic to say the least. The largest issue was the fill setup. I wanted to avoid cutting into the outside of the bus however, hindsight being 20/20 would have been worth it in the long run. It would have have taken care of the defective weld but might have made other setup issues les...
BUS VLOG 159 I had to replace my defective 30 gallon potable water tank.
Переглядів 395 місяців тому
The video will detail more however suffice to say that multiple attempts (some I thought worked) were unsuccessful in fixing the defective weld on the previous 30 gallon potable water tank. On the plus side this allowed me to address and improve on several plumbing issues I had with the old setup. I made some drastic and non traditional changes which worked infinitely better than the setup I ha...
BUS VLOG 158 How to fix the cab dashboard fan resistor
Переглядів 385 місяців тому
Only one setting for the cab fan worked, the lowest setting and as it turns out the item which needed to be replaced was not the switch at all but a resistor unit under the hood. BUS VLOG 157 Tool box cover and cat step stool.
Переглядів 245 місяців тому
My purpose as this point was to make something that was steady and would not scare the cats and make sure their feet or claws did not get caught in any part of the toolbox latch or knobs. It also provides a way for me to secure it for travel adding bungee cords and floor trim to hold it in place. BUS VLOG 156 My do it yourself paper towel holder.
Переглядів 135 місяців тому
As far as the location being right over the faucets I considered that an acceptable and minor imposition when using them since it meant utilizing my bus space more efficiently and having the paper towels more readily available. I also wanted to see if I could make my own holder using leftover pieces of scrap wood without spending money on a holder. Click a link below to purchase one of my novel...

I had a bit of unused space behind the kitchen faucet and although putting in this DIY utensil holder might partially block an outlet I still went ahead knowing I would probably not be using the outlet that much or plugging in a short power strip it if really bugged me to plug and unplug things. BUS VLOG 154 Covering 110 and 12v wires next to kitchen backsplash.

One of those unfinished areas I need to deal with due to my being a novice to this kind of work. Hopefully others can learn from my mistakes. This was easy to correct of course but the further I got into the bus build the more I realized just how important it was to study squaring and measurements. BUS VLOG 153 Installing a limited backup 110 power source.
Переглядів 1315 місяців тому
At the time of this video I was having regular problems when I traveled, or at home, plugging into any outlet which happen to be on the same circuit with a GFI outlet. Plugging into the 30amp shore power would trip any GFI outlet. Even after watching a number of videos I still have not found the solution or error yet so I decided to install a limited 110 power source. Plugging the shore power i...

@@ejthebus1355 well if that’s the case… hell of a job. Those things suck for gripping screws. Harbor freight or Ollie’s or even a pawn shop… you can get good tools cheap. Snap On is produced by the same manufacturer as Harbor Freight and HF also has lifetime warranty on tools!

Cut a groove or a cross in it, cut flats on it, or drill it out a bit and get a left hand tap or keep doing what you’re doing and getting the results you are. Either way you can always use the friendly tips for later. Have a good one.
