EVs are sitting in dealership lots because of volatile batteries, short range, lack of charging stations, expensive repairs, power grids that will require trillions of dollars to upgrade, lack of performance in cold weather climates and the very expensive tneed to replace batteries after only 8 years. Ford postponed the building of an EV plant in Kentucky, is switching to hybrids from all-electric and has halted production of the electric F-150. Toyota CEO says "Total EV adoption is not the way forward."

Trump could make it harder for the legacy car makers to transition but Tesla are already profitable so any reduction in subsidies for EVs by Trump could only cement Tesla's dominance of he market. One of the first things that he should do is reduce the subsidies on hybrids which have a tiny battery that makes only marginal differences to pollution.

Trump is the best thing that could happen for Tesla, Elon has always said incentives are not needed and are a waste of taxpayer money, however the US should not be incentivising gas production either. The net result for Tesla considering Elon may be able to streamline regulatory approval on FSD is many orders of magnitude of profits long term.
