    My bike wont recognise the usb because it says no updates available and i got my bike before december 2023. Confused, does it now work with 3.2 usc stick maybe

    • @ThePolishDad

      @ev1lcorkhum I'm not aware of any limitations on the USB stick. The one I used is several years old, like 6 or 7 years old. It's a USB-A stick. I used a USB-A to USB-C converter. I'll be at the dealership tomorrow. I'll ask the techs if they're aware of any limitations or requirements on the USB stick.

      @ThePolishDad I sure did, I even double checked to make sure the usb-c drive was working granted its brand new but the file even shows up on my phone when I plug it in. It has to be the drive which is 3.2 might not be compatible with the infotainment system moy sure.

      @@ev1lcorkhum I asked the Harley tech about it today and he wasn't aware of any limitations on the USB stick. Do you have another USB stick you can try? I realize that this video made almost 5 years ago. so after 5 years do you still think it is your primarily mouse? does it cause thumb fatigue?

    • @ThePolishDad
      @ThePolishDad Рік тому

      Hi @mazensayed343, this particular mouse is not my primary driver. I do continue to use a thumb ball mouse - I find it's the most comfortable mouse to use. It doesn't cause any wrist-strain and I can use it in very limited spaces. For example, I can put it on my thigh when I'm sitting somewhere that doesn't have a flat surface and use it. I've been using a thumb ball mouse for about 25 years, if not longer, and have not noticed any thumb fatigue at all. The one drawback I've noticed is that it's a little harder to get the cursor percussion using your thumb over a traditional mouse. The MX Ergo, siren in this video, has a button that will allow down the cursor movement. The mouse I'm using now, Logitech M575, does not have that feature. I'm planning on doing a follow up video about the MX Ergo and why I switched to the M575. That's for your comment and watching the video. Please let me know if there's anything else I can help with.

    I was confused at first because I skipped ahead a little. I was like, "why is the dumb ass taking off his exhaust and kick starter to change his oil?" I had to go back and listen to what you said in the opening. I don't have a CB360, but that seems like a horrible design. On my CB750 the oil filter comes off at the front with one screw, takes about ten minutes to do an oil change. How often do they suggest you open it up like that and clean the oil slinger? Hopefully not every oil change.

    • @ThePolishDad
      @ThePolishDad 2 роки тому

      Believe it or not, they suggest every oil change! I try to put some common sense around that. I'll take a look at the oil when I change it, if it's gritty or really dirty, then I'll crack it open and clean the filter. If not, I'll put me oil in and be done. Thanks for your comment!

    For a proper oil filter screen clean , the filter should be removed from the body filter screen or use at list brake fluid applied through it . 4 hands are quite handy , I just do it with mines . Just wonder , how quick your engine oil gets darker ! ( mine gets quite quickly ) Yes , changing gaskets it's always a good idea but sometimes not enough . You should use a thin film of gasket sealant on both sides of the gasket ( from the equator to bottom ) to not make the mistake of over tightening the bolts to avoid leaks !

    The RUBBER/MATT covering they use on the device will start to wear off overtime, and the mouse will become sticky , I have had the mouse now for over 2 years , and this is my biggest issue with it after about 18 months if you use the mouse a lot this will become very noticeable .

    • @ThePolishDad

      Hi TheSlacky755, I'm sorry to hear about your experience with the MX Ergo. I have two of them, one for over 3.5 years and the other for about 2 years. The one I've had for 3.5 years is my daily driver - I take it whenever and whenever I go. It gets packed into a laptop bag and tossed around quite a bit. I've yet to have any trouble with the rubber/mat covering the mouse. In fact, it still looks pretty much new. The only trouble I've had with it, and this is over the past three or so weeks, is the rubber mat on the bottom of the mouse, the one connected to the metal base plate. It started coming off, got dust and dirt and wouldn't stay on the metal plate anymore. I gave up trying to make it stay and have been using it without the rubber mat. I've actually come to like using it that way. Thanks for sharing your experience...

      I have been so pleased with it. My biggest concern was battery life. In my opinion the battery life is incredible - at least 8 months, probably longer (I should keep track the next time I charge them). I leave the one I use with the personal computer on all the time and I charge it once, maybe twice a year. The one thing I don't like about it, and it's a small annoyance, not a reason not to buy, is the little rubber mat on the bottom. It's not permanently attached, every once in a while it comes off and it's a small hair to put it on, getting it aligned just right. This is the best 'mouse' I've ever had and won't hesitate to purchase another one when needed.

    • @ThePolishDad
      @ThePolishDad 2 роки тому

      Yeah, it does seem a bit steep. The price initially held me back from purchasing it. I decided to purchase one for my work laptop since I use it everyday and don't mind spending a little extra if it's going to help. It wasn't an easy decision because of the price. However, after getting it and using it, I don't regret spending the extra money for it. In fact, I was so pleased I ended up buying one for my personal computer, which I don't use nearly as often. One other thing to consider, it can be connected to two laptops/computers. I connected it between my work laptop and one I use for teaching. Connecting to the two devices, and switching between the two devices, is very easy. Not trying to spend your money... For me, it was worth the extra dollars...

      Yes, I do feel it's worth it. I was in the same position as you, had the m570 (which I loved and had several years), was looking at this one, and the price was holding me back. I purchased this and haven't looked back. The precision of the trackball is better than the m570, smoother. Also, it has an easily reachable button to slow down the cursor speed for more precision when selecting something. I use this a lot when taking screenshots and want to get the corners exact. Thanks for your comment! Agreed! It is annoying and takes away from the video. I am seriously contemplating redoing the video and uploading it again.

      The service manual we have says 3.2 US quarts / 1.5 liters.

      Yeah, that's exactly what we were thinking!!! I'm happy nothing busted while we were trying to get it off. I was afraid we'd sheer the head off the bolt!

    Good video but again you don't need the music. It adds nothing of value, in fact takes away from. I'd rather listen to the sounds of clanking tools and the birds singing in your neighbourhood.

      Agreed! Thank you for your comment. I wish I knew how to fix the sound in UA-cam. Although I am seriously considering just redoing the whole video with better and quieter sound!

    How did you know when to stop putting oil in?

      The service manual says the capacity is 3.2 US pints / 1.5 liters. We put in what we thought was about that much, then used the dipstick to add a little more until we got it in the good area.
