I had the good fortune to stay many times at the Mandarin Oriental...sometimes upgraded to a suite with a Hyde Park view. One week end, Pierce Brosnan, who was opening as James Bond, Tina Turner and Elton John were all there...the place was buzzing! Ahh, the memories!

WHAT ABOUT SOFITEL HOTEL

Thank you for sharing all this vital information with all of us UA-camrs that want to visit the friendly island of Aruba and it's people. Are all the beaches on these hotels clean and with shallow waters safe to lounge or swim in? What do the gardeners do to contain the unwanted presence of lizards, iguanas, frogs, etc, etc. from freaking you out? How far away are these resorts/hotels from the international airport?
