That nurse is great. Injuries were luckily what they were and not worse. Had they been worse I think you still would have had an optimal outcome. Some types of aluminimum are workhardening in general and if not welded correctly and hard stuff is just brittle. Why do you think planes are riveted and bolted never welded.

Once a frame causes mental scare you never come back with the brand. I feel this needs to be considered by the brands. Whe you suffer not only physically, there is no way back to take step back. In my case Giant and Cube, I can't trust again in those brands.

Did you check the frame yourself or have someone check it? What material is the frame?

That First Lady that helped is such an amazing person, you could see at first she was proper nervous but kept her calm and did everything correct, what a credit she is to that crew.

I wouldn't call it an exploding or imploding failure of the frame. I would of called it a cascading failure of the bike frame. Glad to see your injuries healed up and you were able to get over the mental trauma of the accident.

Never seen your channel before but you were extremely lucky. That combined with the wise decision of using good safety gear and excellent safety and other support staff on site. At first when I saw you sitting down in the narrative part of the video I thought you may have had far worse injuries.

Thats a catastrophic metal failure. The clean fractures indicate the material became "cold worked" at the areas that bend during ride load cycles, becoming brittle. The final load saw those bending areas becoming too rigid and a crack initiated at each bending area. From there, they all let go. ( multiple fractures) NO! DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT. Its obvious there was no life cycle safety testing

Its good they didn't send you a new frame. This is design/material failure. The welds didn't fail. The fact the frame broke in so many places is just wild. It isn't strong enough to do what they were advertising it to do.

I'm an aerospace welder. Most cracks are going to start on the toe or edge of the weld and can quickly grow from there. But they can also form cracks lengwise and widthwise across the face of the weld. Aluminum needs to be heat treated correctly. If a manufacturer fails to do heat treat to save money the welds and the adjacent metal will be a different hardness and strength than the rest of the tubing. Cracks can form adjacent to the weld, especially if it had bad or no heat treatment. Also, inspect the ending points if the welds, Aluminum loves to have crater cracks at the ends of the weld. This is something to inspect before you buy that frame, but if it's covered by paint, you may not see it.
