Let's hope I post some of my music some day.
[8-bit chiptune] Final Fantasy VII - Birth of a God (VRC6)
Here's my take on Birth of a god (the song that plays during the "Bizarro Sephiroth" final boss phase), i made it with famitracker (with the VRC6 module).
I also made the NES-style mockup image, using mspaint.
Here's the NSF file for those who want it: www.mediafire.com/file/3s6zl2ohw4zenux/FF_VII_-_Birth_of_a_God.nsf/file

[8-bit chiptune] Sonic Adventure 2 Battle - I'm A Spy (N163)
Переглядів 3,8 тис.6 років тому
So this is my version of the song that plays in the Security Hall level, done with famitracker (namco N163 module) I also made the mockup image showing what the level might be like in a 2D sonic game - it was done using assets from Sonic Battle and Sonic Advance mostly Here's the .NSF file if you want: www.mediafire.com/file/which8eme219ixt/Sonic_A2B_-_I'm_A_Spy.nsf/file
[8-bit chiptune] Paper Mario TTYD - Doopliss (VRC6)
Переглядів 2,4 тис.6 років тому
Yo, so this the doopliss theme from paper mario thousand year door, i made it in famitracker with the VRC6 module, and i made the N64-style mockup image with mspaint. I know the bell sounds pretty weird, but it is quite tough to make a convincing bell noise with only one square channel available Here's the NSF file for those who want it: www.mediafire.com/file/2hfuh73fa2tnpa0/Paper_Mario_TTYD_-...
[8-bit chiptune] Final Fantasy IV - Boss Battle (Fight 2) (VRC6)
Переглядів 2,5 тис.9 років тому
Yay another video in a short time, and yeah another final fantasy song for the mockup the dragon uses 4 colors as well as black (it doesn't make much sense to me, but the sprites in the other NES final fantasy games managed to do that so eh), also i chose to make the characters have 3 colors like regular sprites cause i imagined they would be animated like on the SNES here's the actual image i....
[8-bit chiptune] Starfox - Fortuna (VRC6)
Переглядів 2,7 тис.9 років тому
Yeah so i did a cover of the song of planet Fortuna from Starfox on SNES, in famitracker with the konami VRC6 module I also made some sprites to illustrate what starfox couldve looked like on the NES After looking closer i noticed plenty of things on this mockup have too many colors so i made a version more loyal to the nes that you can see here i.imgur.com/LXYGMZv.png Here's the NSF file for t...
[8-bit chiptune] Castlevania SotN - Wandering Ghosts (VRC6)
Переглядів 50 тис.10 років тому
so here's a cover i made of the song that plays in the colosseum in castlevania symphony of the night with famitracker, using the VRC6 module i also made a mockup of the game in NES restrictions to illustrate the video, with the help of Emperor Pixel over at pixeljoint (HUD, alucard sprite and certain tiles) who has made quite a few more of these NES SOTN screenshots Here's an NSF file for thos...
[8-bit chiptune] Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword - Koloktos & Moldarach Theme (VRC6)
Переглядів 35 тис.10 років тому
Yeah so i made a chiptune cover of the song that plays when you fight koloktos or moldarach in the legend of zelda - skyward sword this song cover was made with famitracker, using the VRC6 module the image you see is a mockup i made to illustrate the video, portraying the fight against koloktos as if it were on a gameboy color zelda game. yes, i know it doesnt make sense because the song abides...
[8-bit chiptune] Final Fantasy VI - Dancing Mad part 4 (VRC6)
Переглядів 12 тис.11 років тому
So here's a cover of Kefka's last boss theme, made with Famitracker (in VRC6 module) I also made an 8-bit mockup to illustrate the video (im pretty sure some parts of kefka wouldn't work on an actual NES but whatever) Here's an NSF file if you want: www.mediafire.com/file/jb86vmrxvc1ozq6/FF_VI_-_Dancing_Mad.nsf/file
Fire Emblem 7 Hack test - Shadow Dragon Chapter 1.AVI

A very early wip of this hack i'm making :)
Absolutely smashing remix, you really captured the soul of the song. Love it.
ALUCARD - GOOD
nice, love it
Wow
Honestly the only flaw this has is the missing spooky section at the start
love the oracle image
This is a great arrangement that really resonates with me, as it faithfully reproduces the original's image despite the 8-bit sound. I love it.
That's 16 bit
Jesus, imagine a boss meant for 3D played in 2D. Pain in the ass… No depth perception would make it all the lot harder. Can’t tell, is Link taking a step forward, or jumping? Who knows, lol.
クオリティ高ぇ……これはこれでめちゃくちゃかっこいい……😍😍
Awesome stuff man!!!!!!!
Thanks man :) I really oughtta upload more in fact, got so many .ftm files just sitting around collecting dust...
Awesome! This is very good!
This is one of the best VRC6 remixes I’ve heard- sounds right out of Akumojo Densetsu.
You're pretty good 👍
Very good!
*DEMAKE NOW*
It actually feels like a real castlevania track damn 10/10 remix
I feel like the NES would have dropped two channels from this song. But maybe with the Castlevania III famicom booster chip, they could achieve this.
That's pretty much right - Just as you say: this cover uses the Konami VRC6 expansion chip, which is the same one which was used for the JP famicom version of Castlevania III. To be more precise, the VRC6 chip gives you 3 additional channels: two squarewaves, and one sawtooth (used for the bass here)
Nice work
oh my god, is the best 8 bit remix of this song i´ve ever seen!
Play at 1.25x speed for the actual song.
This is awesome, but dear lord did i despise that one room full of Muskets
linck del Rom :D
I find it hilarious that the HUD at the top of the screen gives you more information that you may want to know more than the actual PS1 title does during gameplay.
The artwork looks just like a real nes
Paper Mario 64
Nice N163 cover!😄🤩😎👌
Nice, groovy VRC6 cover of the song!😄🤩😎👌
This remix is groovy has a nice beat in which one would feel like dancing at times XD You did something great which we never got to see from Konami's side Nicely Done
Oh wow, this is actually brilliant
Actually really good

This probably took quite a bit of time, and for that, I salute you
Underrated comment
@@hankpeterschmidt8626why did I see you at the koloktos - moldarach Ss theme
@@malikeththeblackblade7179 it’s my favorite theme in SS. I must have made a comment there
i love this remix
This is fantastic, I wasn't sure such a song would translate well but you kept the flow going just right.
Wy youtube didnt showed this to me before? Nice song dude. s2
seems more than nes
That's because I used the Namco N163 expansion chip for this song, which gives you 4 additionnal sound channels (and you can draw your own waveforms for those 4 channels). You're welcome to download the NSF file in the description, and open it with an NES emulator program (like NEStopia). That should suffice as proof that the song really is NES-compatible.
can you do a genesis remix of im a spy?
it's still great!
Glad you keep coming back! I actually have been making an NES demake which mixes Rondo and SotN into one game for a couple years now, so far I've done most of the SotN soundtrack. I'd be glad to show you all this, but UA-cam doesn't seem to have a PM system anymore so i'm not sure how...
@@LexouDuck I can only agree with @8bitDanooct1 this is amazing!

I'm sorry, did you say GBA? That thing had no sound hardware to call its own.
Castlevania tiene los mejores OST del mundo de los videojuegos, sus compositores son maestros

mi ost favorito es cross your heart
In my opinion, Koloktos is one of the funnest bosses of skyward sword.
Indeed it is
@@Tatsukoi.muffin without a doubt my favorite temple as well. Gives that Majora's mask stone temple in some sort of odd way.
Funnest isn’t a word
Yea?
I didn’t beat him yet : D
Why is it that absolutely everything sounds better in 8-bit?
The lack of a distinctive timbre (ie, what a piano sounds like as opposed to an oboe or a violin) causes you to focus on more on the more fundamental musical components such as melody, harmony, and rhythm. That and nostalgia combined.
I came here because I was looking for the picture but then I didn't leave because the remix is perfect
Well you gave me some inspiration about my metroidvania, 8 bit Nes artstyle, And a Vcr6 original score to track!
Underrated. Fine work!
Sonic Adventure 2 on Game Boy Advance?
Sooo groovy! I love it!
I listen to this often too c:
Wow that pixel art is incredible, it makes me want an 8-bit Symphony orchestra of the night! The music is incredible as well.
Well, not to get you too excited too soon, but i am working on making this a reality (my project is to mix both rondo of blood and symphony of the night into one game, like a "what if konami had tried their hand at making a metroidvania on NES that isn't as shitty as simon's quest ?"). Like i said though don't be impatient, right now i only got the 3 playable characters working, and about 20% of the map done (i'd show a gif, but i'm reluctant to speak of this too much before i finish the project, because i don't wanna get DMCA'd).
@@LexouDuck cool
@@LexouDuck How's it going so far?
@@TankMarko it is going quite well ! making a game as a one-man team does take quite some time though i'm afraid... If you provide a way for me to send you a private message/email, i could send you a GIF or 2 if you wish to actually see some progress
@@LexouDuck yh sure, if you need any music or something i actually make 8 bit and 16 bit music. Gmail: criticaldie7@gmail.com
Why cecil and kain switched their placec(or names)? (Author badly knows english)
