Hello! Nice video! ¿How do you do to make both cut planes moves at the same time when you just move one of then (8:16)? If I try it, I can only move one at the time.
We used the rhino history - if the rhino history is on and you mirror an object, the object you have mirrored (ie. the copy) will move in the mirrored direction of the original whenever you move it, or scale or rotate it.

what are the problems you are running into in particular? Sometimes Sweep is not the best tool for something that it may seem to be the logical command for in Rhino!

Do you mean with this particular Definition? It does take longer in Grasshopper to do things that are simple to do in Rhino, but you have so many advantages in the long run when you have that definition ready at hand, and you can use it in so many ways.

This is a good tutorial. The only thing I would change is the second extrude at the beginning is unnecessary as one could offset the 1st extrude and have just that much less components to manage.
You can do that too yes, it all depends on what you want to do with the extrusions down the line.
@@essentialguidedigitaljewelry Agreed. Even in Grasshopper programming it's best to follow solid software design principles including YAGNI... ("You Aren't Gonna Need It") is a practice in software development which states that features should only be added when required. Keep the definition as light as possible, like keeping curves and control points as light as possible. It's easier to modify/edit if there's no extra fluff :)
