Can you explain what you're doing at the part that starts at 0:26 to play the B A B fill with your thumb while simultaneously hitting that highers octave B? The only way I can seem to get it is by stretching my hand to use my thumb to hit the B A B while hitting that octave higher B with my pinkie. That seems awkward though and I'm only able to do it because I have large hands...

Even after years of listening to this song I didnt knew about the yusef sample, i guess i didnt search bcoz ive benn just enjoying the song. Really beautiful on the piano thank you for doing this video certainly ill come back to it another day

I'm not adept at reading music so if this explanation makes no sense forgive me, but this has been bugging me. Not a single transcription of this song I've seen sounds exactly right and I couldn't pin down why until just recently. It's more than just personal flair, I guess. The little part starting at 0:24 that goes CGGF, CGGF is actually supposed to go CGGF, CGGA#, D, D, D# (At least in the actual song.) Idk if the official transcription has it this way or what but it just sounds wrong every time I hear it.
