Following the local elections in June, one of the first tasks for Chief Executive Eddie Taaffe and the Cathaoirleach (Chairman) Cllr. Pip Breen is to lead the development of the 2025 - 2029 Corporate Plan.

The plan which will be developed over the next 5 months will outline the Council’s priorities for the next 5 years. Those priorities will be based on local needs, our current functions and other factors such as Government policy, changes in legislation and the resources that are available. The work of the council begins and ends with developing and enhancing our county so that our people have the best possible place to live, work and visit.

My wife is from Wexford Town, can you do a verbal history of the Normans in Wexford.
Ah yes,the Normans..from vikings to normandy..with the blessing of the french king..or should I say 'threats' to the french king..if you know your history then you know well what I tell..One of the first european nationals to use the 'scorched earth' policy..i.e. burn their home and their crops, then subjugate all before..and you celebrate this? What about the beautiful celts? A people of music,scriptures and art? The normans..well done for celebrating the original Nazi's...and yes,the evil beast that was Adolf Hitler did look to mystic Nordic events..shame on you.. TRY CELEBRATING DEEPER IRISH HISTORY..
I have ancestors from Wexford. Their surname there was Sinnott, but when they came to America in the mid 1700s, they changed the spelling to Sineath, but I don't know why.
Check the Griffith land records going back to 1700’s . I saw a record with several named Sinnott regarding property.
