Love her eyes keep rocking
The original is mindlessly incredible but this version is transcendental. WOW
Both Johnette and Danny rule.
Best version!!!!
I love you. Next life, let's dance to this song, as we have that first dance. Till then, Coldplay is amazing, and I'm a vampire.
Rest my love. We came together and weren't over n over. Now your gone and I only have you in a song. Been no one since......
❤
A new depth to a great song, she's just got a way
Well if I could shake your hand WOW.🎶✌️❤️
wtf this was uploaded 10 years ago?! I been looking for this for years and only now was among the search results
She is incredible I saw her years ago with concrete blonde.. twice
You're soooo lucky!
Dammit...ill prepared...now my eyes are sweating.
Magnífico, canção linda.
Listening to this song before the internet, I always thought that a guy was singing this song. A guy with a great voice.
A guy sang the original version.
I like this better than the original
Two of my worlds colliding ♡ my emotions weren't ready
When I was about 2-5 my mom would play this on casset on her car radio- I was born in 2007 btw we used cassettes because we were poor and this brings me nostalgia.......on every level.
When a master covers someone else's material.
Every cover song she does is better than the original. What a treasure, thank you Johnette and concrete blonde, I’ve been a fan since I first heard you.
I HEAL
My sister turned me onto Concrete Blonde many moons ago. Johnette has always amazed me with her soul. I told my sister years ago that I wanted this played at my funeral. She left this Earth before me, so now this hits even harder.
So sorry. I feel you.
this cover is AMAZING. sorry for your loss, wrap yourself in music like this. hugs. xx
Johnette just has one of the most gorgeous, powerful and distinctive voices in rock. Love her so much.
Isn’t she awesome listen to her version of mother of pearl , totally different from Bryan Ferry/Roxy Music version
Her vocals just made me fall in love with this song
Most godamned beautiful thing I've encountered in a long time. Brava. Thanks for letting it out of you.
Epic.
coldplay are a horrible band who make boring , tuneless music but this is quite good
Johnette Napolitano 1 Coldplay 0
This will always be my favorite version of this song. Period.
you are not wrong.
Me too
Johnette is God.
This is just better than the original. I just spent a good half hour looking for this specific version because i used to have it on my phone years ago. I just can't listen to the original, good work guys.
this cover is so CRAZY AMAZING.
It's from the Wicker Park soundtrack
I had a hell of a time finding this version too and I remembered that it was on the Wicker Park soundtrack
@@AnthonyWilliams1337 that whole soundtrack rocks and tugs at the emotions
Her cd is great. Also, everything by her old band Concrete Blonde. She's my favorite female singer.
I I haven't heard this in a long time. I was reminded by it by watching Wicker Park with Josh Hartnett when it played at the end of the movie.
I thought the og played at the end? I had this same mandala effect
It's crazy as the play the OG in the dvd, but have this cover on the soundtrack cd and not the og.
Johnette ffs.
1st time I heard this I was mowing lawn. Had to stop mower and listen to rest of song. Came home that night and put on UA-cam to figure out how to play and playing it this way ever since. And comments saying this is best, try Chris Martin's acoustic version. I really like that also. Very basic for 1 guitar and singing. Helped me add this my repertoire of songs. I'm not saying it's better or worst. Just easier for 1 person to learn to do alone. This 1 and Trouble, 2 great songs to do solo on stage.
Better late than never. :D Glad you can play it now.
Another kickass cover from Johnette..If u think this is awesome...u gotta hear her cover of Little Wing by Jimmy Hendrix...Off the charts!!!!
I love her version of Little Wing! And... Everything else she has ever done, so there's that..
And Everybody Knows, Beware of Darkness, Ghost Riders in the Sky, to name a few.
Beware of darkness too
Hauntingly delightful. I never was a fan of the original Coldplay version, but this right here is real fkn good!
Better than the original :)
You beautiful woman, your gioce and realness. Love you
great music concrete blonde i can lisen all day too their songs
I never liked this song....but with her is totally different, her voice is amazing, a real artist!!
Absolutely wonderful!
Coldplay just got played. A way deeper and haunted rendition, a better song now! ...
totally agree. this cover....amazing....
I bow to my goddess of dark symphonies
Melhor que a original!
There is a deep emotion in her voice as she sings this that Coldplay will never match.
Johnette is pure raw talent , that has been soaked in flammable passion , and lit on fire by burning heart
This is an excellent description of Johnette using words+.
I hate that concrete blonde wasn't more popular
Nailed it,well said mate
@@jiljoup9960 lucky us though -who KNOW.
Johnette is absolutely great. I've been a fan of concrete blonde forever!
Beautiful! I can feel her breath on the back of my neck............
Love it 🖤
The only good cover of this song I've ever heard. I've come to prefer it to the original. Perfectly, patiently delivered.
I bought this single when it came out. I didn't even know it was a cold play song. I don't listen to them. She does such a better job then they do
same here.
I honestly thought she did it first and Coldplay covered it for a very long time.
Johnette's music is amazing...
