Thankful 😊
COUNTIF is the way to go here
Hey guys, I'm studying statistics and decided to use this example for learning a two sample t test. I thought I would share my working. 1. Write down the research question. In this case, our research question is “Did the vitamin B12 change the speed of the runners?” 2. Turn the research question into a set of contradictory hypotheses. Ho = null hypothesis, (assumed true). Ha = alternate hypothesis (why are we carrying out the research?). Ho: µ1 = µ2 Ha = µ1 ≠ µ2 3. Collect data. Input data into the Test Statistic formula. First, we need to calculate the mean of each group (x̅). Group 1 mean = 13.29. Group 2 mean = 16.57. Second, we calculate standard deviation of each group, this is usually given to us in an exam question, or we can calculate the variance and use the square root of variance to get standard deviation. Group 1 standard deviation = 2.0587. Group 2 standard deviation = 1.9881. Third, we take the count of each group and use that in the formula. N = 7. Now we can calculate our Test Statistic. = -3.0322. * But we must use the absolute value in a two tailed test * |3.0322|. 4. Find the Critical value from tables or software, using the degrees of freedom n1 - 1 + n2 - 1 = df. (7-1) + (7-1) = 12. And using an alpha level of 0.025 since we are doing a two-tailed test (0.05/2) = 0.025. Our critical value found on the table is 2.1788. 5. Make your decision. If the Test Statistic is greater than the Critical Value, we can reject the null hypothesis (Ho). If the Critical value is greater than the T statistic, we cannot reject the null hypothesis (Ho). 6. Explain decision. For example, rejecting the null hypothesis; Since our Test Statistic of 3.0322 is greater than our Critical Value 2.1788, we can reject the null hypothesis in favour of our alternative hypothesis. Therefore, there is insufficient evidence to suggest that Vitamin B12 did not change the speed of the runners. There is a 5% chance we could potentially be making a type 1 error as we rejected the null hypothesis. Hope this helps!
😮😊
Thank you
Finally i saw your legend face commandor of spss 🫡
this is awesome. thank you for the quick guide
TIP: SPEED THIS EM EFFER UP BY 1.5X. So frustrating!
when was ss tax ever 8.5%
terrifying
Thanks Math Guy!
how can you add percentages in the outcome?
is this valid? T^T
still no solution in 2024
Thank you so much 😊 I did it while watching this video without any second attempt ❤
But if one measured value is not inbetween the other's measured value's CIs, we can reject the h0 right? Even if they overlap. (Same variance and mean)
I love you 😂💙
Thanks for this, very informative and interesting ❤
Bro you are the best you made this so easy i was stressing out whether i was right. Thank you for the help
Thanks, valid after many years, I think?
brotha that’s so on point i love you, thanks bruv!
Hello MGZ! Thanks for sharing this valuable insight with us. I have a question, I doing a mediation analysis for emotions (hope and fear) in a 2 (Framing: positive vs negative) x 2 (Focus: Promotion vs prevention) IVs. I’m interested in the interaction effects of these two IVs, so I created an interaction variable (Framing*Focus). Once I’m using Process macro, is it correct if I just add the new interaction variable as Y and add the two original IVs as covariates?
Hell yeah
MAY YOU ALWAYS GET A GREEN LIGHT WHILE DRIVING
very helpful thankyou!
Wow this AI stuff is incredible…what a game changer
amazing!
Great tutorial. Learnt a lot.
Thank you sir ❤
you make it concise and wacky, enjoyable

Thankyou so much ❤
Thank you so much
Hi, can I ask why you didn't check for normality?
thx, that helped.
Wow what a hidden gem. You made our day at 0:58
Thank you! Excellent explanation.
Goat 🔥
I cannot express my gratitude ❤
This is exactly what I need to test one of my hypotheses for my graduate thesis and I can't find any other videos out there that explain it. Thank you so much!
