Facebook Marketplace Strikes Again!!
Welcome back to the mill!
In this video Facebook Marketplace struck again.
Matthew has been having problems with his boat's motor and went to marketplace to find a replacement. We went to try and buy one and somehow ended up coming home with a replacement motor still attached to a boat and trailer lol. He ended up buying an old 15' ProCraft in need of some love. We spent the week going through the boat to see if it was worth saving or not. We ended up replacing the floor and the carpet as well as put a new layer of clear on the worn metal flake. We were in a hurry to get it water ready because Matthew had a fishing tournament he wanted to go to. We still have more that needs to be done to the boat and we will show them in a future video if y'all want to see them.
We always try to show people that you don't have to spend big money and buy brand new. We spent less money on the boat then some people spend on monthly payments for a boat.
We want to give a huge shoutout to Solomon, he helps us so much editing some of the videos. Be sure to check out his channels, he puts in an amazing amount of effort for our channel as well as his own.

    I may have missed it, but how many board feet were in the three logs? I don't like short logs or max size logs on my Cook's AC36.

    Choosing 480V as your primary voltgage will pay dividends into the future. Having installed many vaults in the past your attention to getting the pad right is a great start. I recommend you use a color other than black for all your 440-480V feeds and disconnects, this will make future ID simple and visual at no additional cost to you just use the color wire you settle on for your hots including equipment circuits. Ray

    • @user-vn6hi2bi3g
      @user-vn6hi2bi3g 2 дні тому

      They usually do, however what I'am suggesting is a way for you to visually ID all of you distribution as to voltgage visually into the future. This will be much more valuable to you when ever you open a box or test a circuit keep in mind that the high leg will typically test 208V to ground for 3ph 220V system and can easily be mistaken as a leg for the 440V system. Ray PS Do not forget to put phase detectors on all 3ph loads with motors, this will protect you from damaging a 3ph motor if a single phase/leg drops.

    Eric, my fuel pump gave out on the LT 35. Replaced it with a $10 dollar 12 volt fuel pump and wired it into a 12 volt hot wire. Grounded it to the steel on the machine and she has been running smooth ever since. Maybe this will help someone avoid the high dollar Koehler fuel pump. Like your videos.

    It almost looks like you guys know what you are doing! Nice work. Question regarding Black Walnut please: We cut a couple very large trees down over the winter and they are up off the ground on 4x4's but getting wet from rain and starting to sprout all along the top. I need to get them covered back up. They are 27-30' diameter. Massive logs. Straight. I had to cut them into 12' length so I could move them with my equipment. Is this wood going to be ok for lumber? It's already 5 months cut. Also, what would be a good thickness to cut it for some basic furniture building if I can find someone to do it? How much should I expect to pay someone to cut it? I can deliver it to them. Sorry for all the questions : )

    • @BeardedLumber
      @BeardedLumber 5 днів тому

      Black Walnut will be just fine outside. Do not cover with anything it will hold the damp in Let it get wet and then dry out . This for logs not Lumber Cut into 5/4 & 9/4 boards and maybe 4x4s for table legs average sawing coat is going to be $650.00 per thousand board foot higher if you have someone mobil milling Thx for watching and commenting 👍

      @BeardedLumber over here in B.C we wait till 80 year to get them. But we have so much land to reforest so it makes sense to harvest when they're a little older and more dense. And as a forest technician, 40 years old isn't old growth by any means. Not even pine in a plantation.
