I have never seen anyone throw with gloves! Is there any advantage? Thanks!
I work with clay all day and my hands just get really dry, so I wear gloves. It does keep the clay from drying out as quickly though also.
Great AWESOME!!! What did you use to punch the holes in the earring with?
I use a drill bit like tool to make the holes
Thank you for the quick and concise video!!
Where did you get the roll of cloisonné silver Basel wire and the description for the wire? I check in Riogrande web and I don’t find it? Love your class very nice. 😊
maybe check this stuff out: www.riogrande.com/product/argentium-silver-332-strip-28-ga.-dead-soft/108051GP/?code=108052
Thanks for the very clear and helpful lesson!
Bigger Brush for splattering. My favourite technique
thank you for sharing
Che tipo di cristallina mi consigli per questi lavoretti e dove posso trovarla? Grazie😊
Che carta hai usato per i fiorellini? Troppo cariniiii
I buy a lot of my underglaze transfers from www.elantransfers.com or www.chinaclayart.com/collections/underglazetransfers. I buy my glaze from Amazon and use Amaco High Fire Glaze - Zinc Free Clear

Hello! 😊 They are so lovely❤ I'd like to ask if you have any problems with holes? I have issues with holes when cleare glaze melts cevers the tiny holes
I have had problems with holes. I have learned to make them larger than I need them and to just make sure that I don't get glaze over them.
Thank you so much, I also have tried the same and resolved the issue yesterday 😅
Can white vinegar be used in lieu of apple cider vinegar?
A variety of acids can work-citric acid, lemon juice, urine, coffee or vinegar, particularly natural apple-cider vinegar
I seem to only see apple cider vinegar being used for the technique, not regular white vinegar. Is there a specific reason for this?
A lot of acids will work-citric acid, lemon juice, urine, coffee or vinegar, particularly natural apple-cider vinegar
How did you transfer it into the clay?
Check out this tutorial: ua-cam.com/video/-x5w33M08hk/v-deo.html
You shouldn’t look through the window without special glasses or you will damage your eyes
Cool process. Nice color choice. I turned off the annoying repetitive background music so I could enjoy your demo.
what is the best firing range
I fire at cone 05
Did you have a coat of colored under glaze on the piece before you transferred ?
Yes, it has 2-3 coats of gray underglaze on the cup that I applied the transfer to.
@@chandrabeadlestonceramics764 Thank you !😊
Can this be done directly on to the clay itself, or does it have to be transferred?
It wouldn't be a transfer then would it? Look for "underglazing basics" or "ways to apply underglaze" for the non-transfer methods.
Nice set up! I tried scowering the internet for those L&L enameling kilns you have. I can't find them anywhere! Are those custom?
They've been here since I started teaching here 11 years ago, so not sure
What's the ACV/Mason stain ratio?
about 1 tablespoon on mason stain to each cup of ACV, but I don't measure
Very nice presentation (:
Thank you very much!
What temp and how long to bisque fire?
Cone 05 for bisque fire. In my small kiln I can bisque fire in about 6 hours.
Nice video!!... what did you mix your mason stains with ?
I mix them with regular water.
Can copper be used in place of the silver bezel? I noticed most everyone uses silver. Even when working on copper plate they use silver. Why?
I think silver looks nicer, but I suppose you could use copper bezel. I buy my supplies from Riogrande.com and they do sell copper bezel as well as silver and yellow gold. Using a copper plate, because that piece is larger, is cheaper to make.
what kind of enamel do you like?
I order my supplies from riogrande.com, and I think Thompson is a pretty good brand
Good job❤❤❤
Thanks!
Very good instruction video !
Very much enjoyed this. And loved the music. They look great
Thank you very much!
Super video. Thank you 😊
Great video thank you so much for sharing. May I ask what firing schedule you use for the porcelain?
@@couldwellbe4227 Same as other clays I have used. Cone 05 for bisque firing. Fire slow turning the temp up about every two hours.
@@chandrabeadlestonceramics764 thank you for your response 😀👍
Hi can i use lemon juice instead?
no i don't think so
I think you should give it a shot. All you would have to lose is a piece of clay. And you'll learn from it, like all trials. Might even be a cooler effect.
Super design super work
Thank you very much
Nicely done. Which glue are you using to join the two flat pieces? Thanks
I just use slip, which is clay and water mixed together
Let me try.can you tell me what is temperature to firing.? The time too? Please, please Thanks for your information.
I fire mine at cone 05 for bisque and cone 5 for glaze, but that is according to the temperature instructions for the clay and glaze.
huh I think I've been building too wet, I have never tried letting the slabs harden. Nice tip with the rasp / 45 degree bit. Will give that a go next time !
thanks!
Good job 👏💚
How beautiful that turned out! I look at what is on your wheel, and that is beautiful also.
En français merci
yeah what's it lookalike after being fired?
exactly the same but shiny and brighter. I put a clear glaze on it.
WOW :o)
What type of paper is newsprint?
It is simply called newsprint. You can buy it at most craft stores, newspapers are made of newsprint.
Hi, I just found your videos, nice work-and quality; great job. I do pottery in Pacifica California. Please tell me what porcelain you use and how do you fire? Have you found a clear glaze that is good with red and porcelain? thanks, Jessica
I order WC 617 Porcelain from Crane Yard Clay. You can buy it at other places. kcclay.com/products/wc-617 Here is the website. I fire in an electric kiln to cone 05 for bisque and about cone 4 or 5 for glaze firing. I use Amaco F-10 or C-11 clear glazes. www.amaco.com/products/glaze-f-10-clear-transp
Can underglaze be cleaned off of the rice paper and reused? Nice technique!
No, rice paper is so thin and fragile and falls apart sometimes when it gets wet.
Great video. Can't wait ti try this. What are the proportions of vinegar to mason stain?
I use about a teaspoon or so of the mason stain and maybe a half cup of vinegar. I don't measure though, so it's a guess.
love this idea
So glad!
Awesome, thanks :)
You bet!
