Re: Outdoor cats: There are these things called “bird collars” and they work wonders
The traffic noise is louder than you are. Please re-record this.
Bigger the roots bigger the fruits. Bigger pot should get you bigger yield in theory.
This video made me live violas even more 💕 thanks for making this video 😊
Love this, i just posted a video about pollinator plants in my tropical garden too!!!
It’s so hard to watch people with tattoos.
My pansy’s dry well for me, but later when I use them in my cards the color is not as bright. Looks like it faded. Any advice?
your eyes are very beautiful
Make another video more about the plants and habitats please? What are good plants for the hedgerows?
Nice video! Thanks for the great tips. I just went to home Depot yest and got 2 small purple pansys. They are bit smaller then the ones in your videos. I also got 2 small viola flowers yellow & blue. They are the ones you mentioned were your fav. So my question is if i put one small pansy in a bigger pot how big will one pansy flower spread and fill the pot?? For the viola im wondering if its ok to plant it in same pot with the pansy? . Also thinking of goin back to home depot and getting 2 yellow pansys to put in each pot with the purple.
Thanks for the interesting information !!!!
Excellent video. Lots of beautiful plants (Violas are my absolute favorite) and a charming, informative narrator. 💜🤍💙💛💚🩵
Cynthia’s garden school videos are terrific. The tips and tricks add up to a much more productive home garden.
Perrennial.....where?
I’m in zone 7b and most Camilla Japonicas isn’t lower then a zone 6 so I can’t keep them in a container or they would freeze.
Even before man invented fertilizer how did so many different pansies survived since the beginning of creation. I can hardly germinate a seed and hardly get a flower. Millions of years ago our ancestors were busy hunting so how did these Pansies survived in hands of wild animals. It is unbelievable that not a single variety of Pansy or any flower became extinct. Darwin's theory of evolution has it all.
I'm in the Los Angeles area. By far the most popular hummingbird plants in my garden is Autumn Sage (salvia greggii), Scarlett Sage (salvia cocchenia), and Cape Honeysuckle (Tecoma capensis).
Thank you. How big does the pot need to be please? Are there some varieties we should get here in western WA? Please name the soil you used?
Bigger the roots bigger the fruits, a bigger pot should get you a bigger yield in theory.
Love that plant!
That feeder she advertised is crap. Buy one that has a rest bar around it..
Why do women think sleeve tattoos are attractive?? UGLY...
Thank😊you for sharing.Really interesting
I'm in the process of tearing out my (Seattle-ish area) yard, leveling it and applying some sort of sensible/responsible landscaping to it. Saw this backyard habitat video over the weekend and got excited. Annnnnd then discovered that the program mentioned here only applies to Oregon. Darn. Surely we have something equivalent here in Washington. Perhaps we do, but it's nowhere near as obvious and/or thorough as the program described here. Or perhaps my search approach is insufficient. Trying not to feel deflated... sigh. Great / highly motivating video, though.
Hey Patrick, I'm so glad our video got you excited about native plants! I don't know of any equivalent program in the Seattle area, but I know there are a handful of exceptional independent garden centers up there that should be able to help you re-landscape with plants native to that area.
@@CornellFarms I am also in the process of planting a native landscaped yard. What garden centers do you recommend in the Seattle area?
@@bchsnaz There are so many amazing independent Garden Centers in the Seattle area! Swansons, Sky Nursery, West Seattle, and if you don't mind a gorgeous drive and ferry ride, Bayview Garden & cafe on Whidbey Island.
King County Native Plant sale!! Very inexpensive.
Your clear explanations and practical demonstrations made the topic easily understandable, even for beginner gardeners like myself. I feel more confident in my watering practices now, thanks to your guidance.
Nice videos! Are Hostas considered good pollinator plants?
16:04 plant recommendations start
I'm wondering why my magenta violas are starting to produce more and more purple and yellow flowers throughout the season?
Just got this video in my feed, i went earlier this year at my garden center and fall in love with viola etain and viola columbine and got them both. I usualy start my own from seeds.
Hi, I thought camellias need acidic soil? You didn’t amend with anything to add acidity? Trying to figure out how to repot my camellia. Thanks!
Can't hear you
🥰🥰
❤️🙏❤️
Best Viola Video so far. Love the story. Thanks:)
A friend of mine and neighbour said to me: You will never attract hummingbirds. I tried and got none. I had planted Salvia, "Lighthouse Red" and they were constantly being visited by hummingbirds. She was so jealous. LOL
Josie, wow, just wow.
Good video, always enjoy hearing Josie.
Another great video, have never given grasses much consideration. My yard has many areas that would benefit from proper use of grasses. Would like to see you take on tomato plants.
Thank you for great video, my yard is going to draw many Hummingbirds with your help. You are easy to understand, and pleasing to look at, hope to see more videos starring Josie.
Thank you for video.
Useful information and a delightful presenter. I'm inspired to start planting pansies. Thank you!
My daily visitor hummingbird attacks only yellow flower instead of red and purple.
Your hummingbird must not have received the memo! Or perhaps they've simply sworn off red flowers after one particularly bad nectar hangover. 😆 In all seriousness, we've seen hummingbirds go for nectar-rich flowers across the color spectrum, so it seems yours just likes whatever you have blooming in yellow the best.
My Viola ‘Etaine’ is forever drooping 😭 I have to water it a lot more than the others in my garden.
Thank you for the video ! Just a suggestion to put website or bullet point graphics on your video itself. Or the certification website in the description of the video. Thank You and I look forward to signing up!
Absolultely love your coveralls!!! Did you hand paint the flowers on them? Where did you get them please? Thanks for sharing your knowledge! I will get a salvia plant! thanks! Maia
Only god knows why i watched this even tho i have nothing to do with plants
Very effective selection!
Which ones are good for the patio?
I love all your photos! It's so artistic!❤️ I learned how wonderful you are. You are everybody's favorite.✨ Thank you for your sending. This is my favorite video on youtube☘️ I want to see your video again.💕 I want to introduce it to many friends. I'm glad to find a nice video.🌈 I can't wait to watch your next movie.
