The Eagles DID NOT write this!! It was written by Steve Young. The arrangement that the Eagles used was written by Iain Matthews and Mike Nesmith. Listen to Iain’s version on his album Valley Hi (1973). And by the way, it’s a five part harmony, and Iain sings all five parts.

Beautiful rendition of this classic Ukrainian Christmas carol which was composed by Mykola Leontovych whose life was unfortunately cut short when he was assassinated on his parental home by a Russian Soviet state security agent on January 23, 1921. Pray for Ukraine
